Does anyone call their pet by their actual name?

I do. My cat is named "Cat", and I call him "Cat". One of my dogs is named "Dog", is referred to similarly.

I used to live at 666 and a half. Then I moved upstairs and I lived at 666. Smiley People used to refuse to enter my address when I registered places, like to vote, and they's look at me like I was the devil himslef....

I do a very good Satan impression. If someone had tried that with me, I would have roared at him in my "YOUR SOUL IS MINE, MORTAL!" voice.

They've recently started turning to their flock of mostly teenaged members for donations to cover their $200 per month hosting fees.  Yes...I said per month.  I'm thinking $200 a month would get me a decent car, not to mention I don't like the thought of exploiting the naivety of teenaged kids.  Do I think they're being ripped off?  Hell yes.  Don't try to tell them that though, they'll defend their ways until they're blue in the face.  Precious group, ain't they?

WTF? $200 a month? For THAT? What the hell? How the hell does that shitty excuse for a site run $200 a month? You know how much shit I could get for $200 a month? That site's membership and size level looks roughly comparable to MATY, which means the cheapest plan. That's *$5* a month. Where the hell do they get a figure 40x that? Either they're being ripped off outrageously, or that site is a scam and grossly exaggerates its costs to solicit their "donations". Either way, something stinks.

There is no 10. That would still be 6.

My simple solution to "child friendly" is that children are not allowed, because I hate kids. All users are required to convincingly pretend to be over 12. Says so in registration.
1238  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Carla Niven must be destroyed! on: 2006 November 27, 03:56:37
Ahem. Let's talk about something wholesome instead, like, say, skullfucking.

At least it didn't involve skullfucking.

Actually, all those are good for you in the high-energy-burn environment of a post-apocalyptic world. Sugar is high in energy. The reason it's bad for you NOW is because you don't really use any energy. When your energy is being burned in a daily attempt to survive attacks by thugs and cannibals, you're going to need that high-energy food source. And don't think it won't happen, either. The world is due to run out of oil in about 10 years. Already, the final stages of the oil endgame are playing out as the US prepares to invade Iran to take their oil next. Modern society, which depends on the availability of cheap oil to function, will collapse into rioting and anarchy within the next 10 years. The end is near. So buy guns, hoard stuff, and move to a fortified bunker...just like me.

Those parasitical little maggots.

Maggots aren't actually parasites. They don't depend on a host organism for survival, by the time they get around to eating it, it's already dead.

There's no 14. Only 12.
1245  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / You are OBLIGATED!!!! on: 2006 November 25, 09:01:31
You know, I should include an "obligated" in the form of "You are required to send this file to 10 other people or horrible things will happen to you. So-and-so sent this file to 10 other people and something cool happened. So-and-so didn't, and some horrible thing happened to him."
