I have never paid for cc. I've always felt that it's something I don't really need, so I'm not going to spend precious dollars on it. Plus even way back when I first started downloading, I could see that T$R had nothing worth downloading, even less worth paying for.
I have donated to certain free sites now and then when I had a little extra money. Recently, I went to Adele's site and found she had run out of bandwidth. This was unacceptable to me, so I immediately sent a donation to WNF. It wasn't much, but a couple days later Adele was back up, much to my relief.

That's how it's supposed to work. If a free site has quality cc, the community will support it with their monies when it's needed.

One of my favorite movies. It's actually a scathing parody of Hitler by Chaplin. It's quite brilliant, in my opinion.

The sad thing is that Chaz probably thinks his creations look really good. He most likely has a huge ego and won't listen to criticsm, which explains why his sims look so freakishly ugly. He just can't see it, because he's too busy patting himself on the back for creating another photoskinned celebrity sim, that he thinks looks fabulous. He'll never improve, and his sims will always look like oily skinned drag queens.

Chaz, we are laughing at you. Thanks for providing so much material for us to make fun of. This thread would be half the size it is without your unbelievable creations.

And the Hitler mustache looks like someone gave the poor sim a dirty sanchez.

I have finally finished my self-sim's house. It took me all week to build and decorate, and several hours to take all the screenshots. There are too many to post here, so look here if you would like to take a tour.

I don't plan to upload it. It's a huge file, and many creators may not want me to upload their stuff. But I wanted to share it with all of you and maybe get some feedback. I'm always looking to improve my skills.

I have never paid for any custom content (and never will). Everything seen in this house was free, with a few (very few) things that came from the booty.

I work with photoshop everyday. I use it to manipulate pixels and I'm very proficient at it. Dot's so-called tutorial reminds me of the old crazy lady that throws cats on the Simpsons.

Here's a sample of the new house I'm working on. It's sort of a tribute to Adele. I have used almost every Adele item in my catalog.
This is just the music room. The furniture, paper floor lamps and walls are by Adele. The piano is by Murano. (I've had it forever.) Many of the flowers are by Moune. The wall hanging is by justmoi at MTS2. The blinds and the ceiling fan (animated) are both by Frances at caravanshopsims. The rest I'm not sure, but I can look it up if necessary.

This is also the house where my self-sim currently lives.

They are all Helga hairs. I have them in my game. I never knew they could look that bad.

It's part of the Newport dining set from SimSecrets. There's a Newport livingroom set also that I love. I use the Newport stuff a lot. It looks great in game and both sets are free.

I used different chairs than what came with the set. The ones that came with it just didn't quite work with the decor of the house.

My step-mother is an executive at a very large company that investigates corporations for fraud, scams, copyright infringement, and many other things. I described to her what has been going on in the sims community. She is not familiar with the sims at all, so I told her all about the game and what custom content is, and what meshes and texture maps are. I showed her EA's EULA, and the screen shots from coconut, and a whole lot more. She's pretty smart, so she understood the situation quickly.
