My undead warlock says /cry

I'd actually like to see an Ikea stuff pack. I go into that store every now and then and it's like being in sim world. I come home wishing I had bothered to learn to mesh, but then I lay down and the feeling goes away. Also, did you know that at Ikea you can fit an entire appartment's worth of furnature in a cardboard box?? It's amazing!

How about a suicide hotline mini EP. You catch Don woohooing the maid? No problem, give the hotline a call. Then it's a minigame to see if you can say the right things within five minutes to stop your sim from killing itself. If you lose, it has fun suprise new deaths!

...wha? I'd buy it. Or at least torrent it.

Or maybe an arsonist's fun pack. I'm still waiting for the serial killer interactions...

Yeh, used one of these: http://elouai.com/doll-makers.php

Someone in here posted a link for it and it's neat.

Crap, now I gotta think of something else...

Oooh, I know,

Toys'R'Us Stuff Pack (that one I might cave at and spend on even)

ETA: Personally I can't stand most stuff at IKEA. Not the stuff I can afford, anyway. There's another warehouse with very nice affordable furniture that I use.

haha i would love our sims to be able to have mental health issues, i knew something was mising from my self sim, that being- anxiety disorder and bipolar disorder, it would make the game alot more interesting.

but on a serious note, you might thing me odd, but have you ever played Sim Farm? I woudl love a Farm EP, to be able to raise Cows, Pigs and Sheep, kinda like Harvest Moon...omg i love farm animals...i would have a heart attack if they did that.

Human? Ewww. They smell all... meaty. Just say no to Alliance.

Lately I've actually been playing a Blood Elf lock on another server, and she's okay. I miss being all dead and rotting though. But she's so amazingly stuck up and has the most awful racist jokes. My favourite one goes like this:

Me: type /silly
BE chick voice: "I hate Thunderbluff, you can't get a good burger anywhere"

or this one:

Snotty BE again: "I went to Undercity for a facial, and have you SEEN these people? I was like 'you don't even have a lower jaw and you're going to give ME a facial??' She got mad. Or at least I think she did. Have you ever heard anyone try to speak without a jaw? 'Mggggh grrrrr' She sounded like a Murlock.

For the HORDE!

That would be...so...unspeakably... BAD ASS!!! (the Disneyland EP)

I have a mild obsession with Disneyland, I used to go at least once or twice a year when I was a bit younger and could afford it. Ride Pirates for hours on end, or go to Haunted Mansion over and over. Especially when its between Halloween and Christmas and they do the NMBC mansion!

Ok, Gimme!

I like it, xfetishgirl.  :D

A Disneyland stuff pack would rock.  I know I'd break down and buy it.

How about a pack where sims can actually throw bachelor/bachelorette parties complete with a party cake (like TS1 had) that the entertainers can pop out of.  :P

I'd also like to see something more for weddings, and I wish there was a way for the sims to take their toddlers off the lot and bring them to the park or something.  I mean, they could take their pets for a walk but not take their babies and toddlers for a walk in a buggy or stroller.

yeah i wish there was more adult oriented stuff for The Sims 2...it seems The Sims was more geared towards adults, then The Sims 2 was tamed down a bit.

so i got bored last night, and i made Mortimer Goth get all the Females in Pleasant View pregnant, and i mean everyone, Lilith and the other twin grew up, so now mortimer has like 20 kids on the way. is that evil? ah the things one does when they're bored. It was hard to do with the Caliente sisters. I suggest you try it, it was fun and challenging, and quite funny.

Mortimer pwns Don Lothario.

If you read, can you atleast respond and tell me what you think?

I love it!     Are you going to have him knock up the NPCs?

I had seriously thought about doing that with John Burb because he's not bad looking.  In one game, I used the Insiminator to erase the family bonds between him and Angela and Lilith.  Then, he married Lilith when she grew up.

Bye, xfetishgirl!  See you later.  :)

ETA:  Last line

FYI: There is an edit button on your posts if you want to say something else and you were the last person to post.

ETA: I know it's been said many times, but I would love an In The City type expansion pack.  With apartment buildings, drive thrus, sirens in the background, etc.

I actually saw a triple post.

I'd like a hospital expansion pack.

An amusement park expansion would be fun.
I'd like yo be able to build roller coasters and such.
It would be fun to take screaming face pics of the sims while they are on the coaster( like at Six Flags).

Not sure how new you are at this, so, if I am over-explaining, I am sorry.  When we say double or triple posting, we mean that you are posting right after you already posted.  That can get kinda annoying.  If you want to say more after you already said something, just use the edit button to add to your post.
Everyone is new at one time or another, so, don't sweat it.  :D

So if I reply to something on page 1 and then see something on page say 51 of a fucking thread I am supposed to then come back and tryto edit a post to include something 50 pages before? How fucking stupid.

Double and triple posting means on other boards that you hit the reply more than one time and it shows the same thing more than one time.

If you want to reply to something on different pages you can always include the qoute from page 1 then reply and then the quote from page 51 then reply.
It's better than double and triple posting.

As I said in all of the other places I have been "double and triple" posts means that you have hit the reply button more than one time and thus replied with the same thing. If you look through this thread that is what was happening. The forum was slow, so the post button was being hit and the same thing was going on two or three times, or at least that is what I thought was meant.

I realize that this is not other places so, from now on I will consolidate.

Now should this go into the post above for consolidation or is this one Ok to leave here?

Why are people all of a sudden so picky? Is there a full moon or something?

What got me a little pissy was that a simple "Hey Becky we aren't supposed to do this" and I would have replied with "My bad in the other places I have been on since 1996 double and triple meant "this" and I didn't know it meant "this" here." would have been a nicer exchange. Then I (and others who didn't realize it) would have known. A rolly eye when someone doesn't understand what they have done wrong does nothing and a snotty ass remark (not really from you although if you had read my quote you would have seen what I was talking about) only serves to piss someone off. It just seemed a little odd that I thought one thing, they meant another and we all thought we were mind readers knowing what the others meant. I try to be nice to people I don't know. Impressions from words is all we have on the net to judge people by... ya know?

Edited a blue million times for typos. LOL

Misunderstandings occur all the time on the internet, partially because we can't see each other's facial expressions or hear the other person's tone of voice.

It's cool, and I'm not angry at you.  I was just very taken aback by your reaction to my post because I was trying to help you in my own way.  And granted, someone could have told you about your posting more nicely, but this place isn't known for warm and fuzzies (I don't mean that in a derogatory way).

Those were before I was in this thread and talking to I suppose xfetishgirl. Which I thought was because the board was slow (it was for me in the reply showing up and it locked up once) and she hit the post button twice. If you look I don't show up until page 3 or something like that. Then someone posted the rolly eye and then you gave your opinion. Sorry. I only got here around 6:30 7:00ish.

I know you are trying to lighten things. BUT really, when someone is new, even if it is "Hey Becky knock that shit off. Just post one huge post with all replies" it would have been better than what you did and still kept your assyness. Because really double and triple post can mean a great deal when as Granuaile you can't see someone. I mean I had read that you all don't like to many LOL's so I have watched that and I have limited my smiley use. It just would have been a little better had I been told I was doing something wrong from the get go instead of people thinking I was a dumb ass.

Now, go get some rum on me and let's just bury this (and not mark it with an X) :D

if you see a post  on an old thread look over at the quote button and right click it then choose "open in new tab" or "open in new window" then when you are done reading the whole thread, click reply at the end of the thread, and copy/paste all the quotes.
then you should edit the quotes to only include the actual part you are replying to. Like if someone gives a 4 paragraph long rant about fat sims, but there is one line that says somethin bad about girl sims and you want to reply to that part, remove all the extra crap.
we shouldnt have to teach you posting ettiquette lol

we shouldn't have to teach you posting etiquette lol

WELLLLL, in other places, because most of the sites I have dealt with are either debate or deals, we are supposed to quote it all. Then highlight the part you are replying too (you may have noticed this in some of my posts) in red and do multiple posts replying to one thing at a time, to keep it all in context.

So now I know that not only am I supposed to quote it all in one big post, but also eliminate everything except what I want to reply to, even if it is just one word.

See, that is all you have to do is tell me. I can get it, I'm smart (and I fixed your typo in etiquette and shouldn't, which we were also supposed to do.).

As someone said, each board is different and etiquette is in the eyes of the board creator. LOL

I was reading something about a member who "hurt" other members here and she used LOLLLLLOLOLOLOLOL <grin> constantly and someone said that it looked like a 12 year old. I figured that might be common consensus because many people in that thread said it. Maybe it was her overabundant use?

I do have a question because I am now replying a lot again and seeing things after I have posted. Since you are above me, it is OK to reply and not add it in to the one above, right? I mean that would get confusing.

its the norm for all the larger sims forums, and the only small ones that allow that long-quote double/triple posting bullshit are ones that like to spam it up with posts like "lol me too!!!" "you're right" "haha thats gr8!"

They're talking about Zatanna, whom Wicked_one was also referring to.

I think that might be the problem. I'm not from Sim boards. I do have an account on S2C and InSim, but if you look at my post count I have less than 10 or 15 and most of that is WCIF. I've never "talked" on a Sim board that much. I think I have like 2 or 3 posts on InSim in their off topic and maybe that much on S2C. I only got the Sims2 at Christmas (bloody damned obsession now though. LOL) and only started with CC about a month or so ago. I only found this place a few days ago and this is the most I have spoken on a Sims board period.

SO, in essence all of this is new to me, I mean really new to me.

Also, you have just told me something else. I did not know what you all meant about spam. I thought it was making threads just to say "Hi" and shit like that. I had no idea I was spamming!

ETA: Wait, you can't look at my post count. I have different names at both places. I actually have 27 posts on S2C and 6 at InSim (I looked out of curiosity. LOL)

I miss it too, Yaardarm Monkey.

Becky, the entertainer's cake was in TS1.  It was a large cake that entertainers jumped out of and danced for the sims.  Sometimes, the sims got lucky and had a male or a female entertainer that they found sexy.  Other times, you got stuck with some clown (I think it was a clown...) or an ape.

I used to love it when the entertainers autonomously flirted with one of the sims.  If the spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend was around, it created all sorts of drama.

Awe man that would have been funny! The only other Sims I played was on the XBOX and that was the Urbz. I liked it, but never got really far with it. The hubby thought he would get me the Sims to play on the PC while he was gone, found the Sims2 Holiday Edition and the rest is "history." I now have every expansion and stuff pack and more than likely will but the H&M one. LOL

I love you :D So don't take any of their critique personally. This forum isn't known for its tact. It's true that double-posting is bad, but it is also true that someone should have said something in a nice way from the get-go if it bugged them. I'm just not easy to bug if I like talking to someone.

And as for spamming... Well... If I called anyone in here a spammer it would be the pot calling the kettle black.

I know it isn't, but I never saw tactlessness towards people who they "liked" and I think that is what took me a back a little. I mean the Rat or Russian man are different. They were on here just to be asses and deserved the "less than tactful approach." Oh sure I've seen a little harmless, light heated, smart-ass banter, but it usually included smileys or LOLs. (LOL)

I don't take your critique personal and I don't usually get rubbed wrong easily either. It just hit me wrong last night because I honestly did not understand. Now I do, so it is no biggie. It doesn't make me not want to be here or anything. I don't think badly about anyone in the thread, and as someone said they were trying to help in their own way. They thought I knew what they were talking about, I didn't. It was just a little misunderstanding.

I'll look at it as my initiation into the Pirate clan....

So does this mean that I can now blame Pescado for something? Am I a full fledged Pirate yet?

I guess it is hard to understand with words. If you think about it, and the fact that I had no idea what you were talking about, add that into the fact that in my mind from other boards what I was doing was not "double and triple" posting, it just came across as being a little less informative and more just being bitchy. Pair that up with the rollyeyes just before you with no explanation and well, it was just a big misunderstanding.

In other words it was less explaining what I had done wrong and more assuming I knew what I had done wrong and for me to stop.

Now that it has been explained, it is no biggy and you can feel free to drop it as I have.

Maybe it was just the way I read it and being confused. Really though it is no big deal. It is a new day and it doesn't bother me anymore.

A BBS'er is one of those people who post on the official Sims 2 board. I post there. Sometimes. The reason the term is used in a derogatory fashion is that there seems to be a 10:1 ratio of children / immature flamers and other annoying people. 10:1 is even being nice. *sigh*

I don't know if I want laundry in my game... I mean, I sorta play the game to avoid laundry in real life.

I just thought of another expansion or two I'd like. One would have to be a joint effort and would fall into the Bob Timberlake in a way.

An N.A. Noel-Thomas Kinkade-Bob Timberlake Pack. It would include art and furnishings from these artists and also shaker/Amish style furniture.

N.A. Noel does a lot of artwork about the Amish. She is a "privative" artist in a way, a more modern Buckley if you will. I have a lot of her art in print form (can't afford originals). Her paintings of Amish children are just beautiful. She also does angels and animals. As for Thoma Kinkade, I'm a lighthouse nut and I love his.

The other expansion would be an "around the world" pack and would feature art and furnishings from the top artisans around the world.
