$100 per mesh?  Is she fucking serious?

That girl has some serious esteem issues, as in she has too high of an opinion of herself.

Someone with myspace needs to give her a link to the EA post. I would ove to read her rant on that.

Why not a $1000? No one is going to pay it anyway.
It MAY be a very poor attempt at humor. I hope so. If not, she is a lost in lala land.

It's called sarcasm.

She sure is bitter.

I might have missed something. Was it stated somewhere that we (or Pescado) demand her to actually put her stuff for free?

I have seen many many meshes on TurboSquid for hundreds of dollars.  If she thinks she is in the same league as those meshers, she is sorely mistaken, but I do believe she is serious in thinking she can sell hers for $100.

Lost in lala land indeed!

Anyone read the new one about paysites that should die?

"Someone pointed out, offline again, that once I package my mesh for use in TS2, EA owns it and could stick it in their next EP if they wanted.  I suppose but my stuff isn't quite up to their standards yet so I'm not too worried.  Of course when OFB came out my husband's first comment was "so, did they just steal all your content and ideas or what?"  He was joking, well, mostly joking.  At least there stuff was a drastic improvement over mine."

For them to steal your work, would require either understanding coding, or just plain out renaming your files.

From EA, that would be a tossup.

On top of trying to crank out the Season EP for you and all your Awesomeness to repair, they are busy raking in the cash from the mini-add-on to the old Holiday Stuff-it Pack. Please provide them with a direct link and a bill for your time.

My thoughts exactly.  It takes not a genius to learn how to mesh.  It takes the desire to learn, the ability to learn, and the right tools to mesh.  It isn't a huge big bloody secret society that only a few select people are allowed in.  Anyone with those three things can get off their rear end and do it if they want to bad enough.  It then takes time and effort to become exceptionally good at it, which from what I have seen she is a far far cry from becoming.

I have deleted your thread. First off if you have a problem with another user on the boards calling them out on the boards is the wrong way to go about things. Second..whenever you upload things to the internet more than likely things will be copied. Once you upload it it no longer belongs just to you and there are no copywriting things on this site. If you upload it, it actually doesn't belong to you but to EA and EA gives the right for users to use their things.
Just think of it this way people say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so instead of being angry...feel flattered that someone copied you.

I once got an email from a starting paysite, wanting to buy hairmeshes at 60 dollars a piece. If I'd actually done that, they would have been broke in 3 months, because at that time my meshes where shitty.

If you look hard enough in certain part of the social sciences, such as in Cultural Studies, Cultural Anthropology, or Media Studies, you'll find a small number of books and published essays about online communities and identity. It's fascinating to say the least.

Hahaha, this basically IS my thesis. I'm not even in grad school yet and I'm already compiling material.

Edit. I am a psych major, mostly aiming to concentrate in social/personality and abnormal psych. If you couldn't tell by some of my posts, I live for this kind of garbage from strange people. Even better in this case because I get to vent on this forum and essentially prod it/them with sticks.

For someone who is sooooo over this issue, she certainly has a lot to say on the matter.

Quote
In fact some of you write some really sickeningly sweet stuff - the kind of stuff that makes me want to drag the site back into its public directory.  You didn't really think I'd delete the site did you?

With the implication that if people just humiliate themselves and beg her a little harder, she'll let them play with her toys again.

Quote
Long story short, it basically stated that I was removing the site because I was no longer free to choose whether or not to distribute my content freely.

Which is nonsense, because she's always been free to choose that, and if she doesn't like what people do with her content, she's always been free to stop making her content available. Just like she did! No one is magically controlling her mind or putting a gun to her head and making her do things. She's confusing her dislike of what other people do with her content as those people taking away her choices of what to do with her content in the first place.

She hasn't learned the first big lesson anyone who creates anything needs to learn: The moment you start showing what you make to other people, their reactions and what they do with what they've seen/read/bought is pretty much out of your hands. You have legal redress in certain circumstances... but what she's whining about right now is pretty much the equivalent of an artist throwing a shitfit because some teenager printed out their artwork and gave it to a buddy for her to hang in her locker.

Quote
Our time, our money, our efforts are no longer ours to do with as we please.

Which is utterly ridiculous. No one is forcing her to do something she doesn't want; she's pissy because other people aren't doing what she wants in reaction to what she does, so she them blames them for somehow forcing her to do things she doesn't want to do.

Shes basically not taking responsibility for what she chooses to do in response to other people's actions, basically. She'd rather blame other people for 'making' her do this unpleasant thing. She's 32 goddamned years old, here, she's more than old enough to figure out responses to a situation, weigh the pros and cons of those situations, and choose what she thinks is best. I can't imagine that this ISN'T what she's doing... so doing what she did was up to her.

Quote
I should have the right to choose whether or not to distribute a file for donation, on a paysite or freely based on what I want not what others want.

And I should have the right to praise and adulation from thousands for everything I draw! I spent hundreds in art supplies so people should compensate me for looking at my artwork! Wait, no. This doesn't have anything to do with 'shoulds' but 'wants'.

Quote
The only way I or any other creator can win is by not distributing content.

I don't know, I think everyone would win if she'd quit whining about people not compensating her for her hobby.

Quote
Evidently the man and his friends have no life whatsoever.

Hehheh.

Quote
The best thing to come of this is that EA has finally issued a statement on all of this.  At least the creator community will now know exactly where they stand.  There are a lot of misunderstanding concerning that statement and copyright laws but I have some really good legal connections so I understand exactly what EA does and does not own.  In other words, stop wasting your efforts with assinine threats of EA sueing me.  Like I would honestly listen to anyone on the internet when I personally know dozens of people who actually know what the law says.

But she's going to listen to EA? Waitaminute.

I wonder if her 'really good legal connections' are anything like her black-hat hacker husband *coughScriptKiddiecough* who would totally kick all of our asses if he didn't have a government job.

Anyone wanna take bets on how long we can keep HChangeri bleating about this? I bet... 2 euros and some pocket lint!

[Edit] Couldn't resist this from her "leik omg this is how I make my super cool shit" blog. Just fucking couldn't.

Quote
This threw me a bit since I had to dismiss most of what I learned about 2D design in order to really grasp 3D design.

WHAT. WHAT. WHAT THE FUCK. What kind of shitastic artist forgets how to fucking draw when they work in 3D?! To DESIGN? Designing things WELL in 2D surprisingly takes a decent grasp of how things relate to each other in three dimensional space.

That she thinks she needs all of the really expensive programs to make sims 2 stuff at the quality level she's reached... yeeeeah, she isn't fucking going anywhere with any sort of artistic endevour until she pulls her head out of her ass. It wouldn't matter if she had a rendering studio from Industrial Light and Magic, she'd still suck because she doesn't have good enough damned skills.

Black hats,  how lawyers? HO NOES!

I love how she says that she didn't read the comments when, in fact, you know she did. She was hoping for a bunch of sycophants masturbating with their keyboards to her mindless Ayn Rand fellatio and was mocked in accordance. HShambala finally realizes that, above all

a) It's not like you need a secret decoder ring to figure out what the EULA says, and
b) She's such a small blip on the radar anyway that absolutely no one cares (besides us because we're mean and evil and anti-capitalism, oh my!)

So what have learned today, boys and girls?

INTERNET = SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to laugh hysterically in the corner.

This is one of the things that annoys me most about her. She's 32. She's considerably older than me, but still within age-range to be considered my peer, and she's constantly reacting like this, like a moody 14 year old. I'm actually a fairly mellow person, I forgive easily, I admit I'm in the wrong if I feel like I am, and aside from the occasional mood swing, I don't get angry very easily. I always put this down to getting older, maturing, I certainly wasn't like this when I was a teenager, and my friends are like me in this respect too.

The more I read HChangeri's posts, where she grudges, and whines, and complains, and trashtalks, forms her own conclusions without knowing the facts, and is generally a twat, and think to myself 'god, this is a 32 year old?' the more I realise that all it is, is she's a moron, and her blackhat husband and lawyer friends who seemingly have to put up with this crap all the time and presumably encourage her, are very much just as bad. Besides, she's giving me the urge to translate her thus:

Areyoucallinmestupid, though? Areyoudisprespectingme? Areyoudisrespectingmylawyerfriends?? Are you calling me a pikey? Are you calling my blackhat government hax0r poor? Are you calling my husand a wino? Are you calling my husband a wino though? My husband ain't even a wino. He ain't even a wino, though. Am I bovvered? Am I bovvered, though? Do I look bovvered? Am I bovvered, though, Look at my face, does it look bovvered, though? Look at my face. Look at my face. Look at my face, though.Does any part of it look bovvered? Am I bovvered? Ask me if I'm bovvered. Go on, ask me if I'm bovvered. Ask me. Ask me if I'm bovvered. Do you think I'm bovvered? Face. Bovvered. Look. Face. Bovvered. Look. Face. Bovvered? Look. Sims 2? Bovvered? I think HChangeri gets off on reading our reactions to her rants.  I already know she doesn't care about her stuff being shared, as long as it's done quietly.  Most of the smaller site creators who have a lot of free content don't really care in the end.  And they shouldn't, either.  They got donations for it that they might not ever have gotten, they got exposure for it that they might not ever have gotten.  In the end, it doesn't *really* hurt anyone - we're not wasting up her bandwidth and we're not claiming it's ours.  Hell, I imagine she was pretty proud of that Krispy Kreme set and she was forced to take it down.  So shouldn't she be happy that it's still out there and people still know about it?  I probably would be if it were me.

So as long as we continue to talk about her, she's happy.

And I'm always for making someone happy. ;)

I fully admit to being mean, cruel, nasty, rotten, and basically evil.  If you want to add "stuck up" (although arrogant is a better, more descriptive term) then go right ahead.  Honestly, I would like to think that I have matured past the point of caring what others think about me personally.  Afterall none of you know anything more than what I am willing to share - and then you have to ask yourself if you can trust whether or not I'm lying.

Well up until this whole thing, everything I saw of her was *nice and polite*
She has shared quite a bit about herself and her mental illness and her hacker hubby...but now she's saying she could have just made all that up
(implying you could be lying to these people you say are "sickeningly sweet" to you isn't really helping your cause)
Quote
Honestly, it's rather amusing to see the uproar this has all caused so I guess I should be thankful to Pescado.

And she admits that she's enjoying the attention she's gotten for all this.

In fact some of you write some really sickeningly sweet stuff - the kind of stuff that makes me want to drag the site back into its public directory.  You didn't really think I'd delete the site did you?  Christ that thing took countless hours away from creation time and I wasn't about to delete in case I folded.  I just moved all but the main page to a password protected directory so technically I could move it back and have it up in minutes......make me want to through my integrity out the window and just reactivate the site. I do miss sharing my stuff since uploading my stuff to TurboSquid isn't nearly as fun.

So I guess this means the creations will be back up anytime now with a "thanks for all the sickeningly sweet stuff--death to the evil pescado" message?

What better proof do we need that she was just going for the "sickeningly sweet" pleas for her to return which she laughably failed to get. Of course she read every single hate message in much greater depth than the nice ones. They are after all much more interesting. If she actually had integrity she would say what she really meant.

Was it the Peggy 'Croydon Facelift' 'do? That, sadly, was free, I think...Nationalday, I believe it was called...

Oh wait no, it was a freebie for a couple of days, don't mind me...>.>

She's back - with new stuff as well. Didn't even wait for the fuss to die down.

Now Integrity Free

What is her definition of integrity?
According to Dictionary.com:
integrity (noun)
   1. Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. (her own morals? or some moral code of the sims community?)
   2. The state of being unimpaired; soundness.(is she now unimpaired? and if she was impaired, how was it Pescado's doing?)
   3. The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness (but the site is NOW complete since it's not empty anymore)

The paypal button is back up but leads to the paypal homepage (she plans on adding donation sets again? or she just didn't bother to fix the code to get voluntary donations?)

I know some of you may not like the stuff in the screenshots she has up there, but some of it looks good, if it's going to be free I'll probably end up downloading it.
I am a bit surprised that the whole entire thing was over and done with long before she originally said she was going to close the site...it hasn't even been a whole month has it?
Even I have thrown longer fits than that, and I still got what I wanted in the end :)

My armchair psychiatrist analysis is that, exciting as all the attention was, it got to be awfully embarrassing for her to be the only one publicly squalling about PMBD. Better to be resisting bravely against us like all of the other paysites! Soldier on, HChangeri (http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/Attention_whore), solider on.

I wonder what amusing antics she'll perform next?

Hahaha, I did this on a site a couple years ago as a joke (though no one took it as one. Shame, that). It ended up 10 goddamned pages in MSword.

Must you link to such sites? I've now already wasted a full hour surfing randomly laughing my proverbial arse off, and discovering such miracles of teh internets as Goatse and Harry Potter Fandom.

(For those who don't know Goatse... You're better off in your ignorance.)

Necromancy is bad, mmkay?

You could always just copy the text and paste it in the address bar to make it easier. :)

Oh and please forgive me for editing your text to make it more grammatically correct; I think I've finally hit my breaking point and cannot stand to even quote mangled posts. :)

HChangeri didn't say much of anything at all.

Throughout the thread there's been plenty of people quoting her blogs.

Purple: Apparently a lot.

Or you could just set a minimum font size on your browser.
Assuming you use a decent program and not the piece of shit that is IE.

No one's IE is good.

Why is this?

I've coped perfectly well with mine for 10+ years. Mozilla/Firefox/whateverit'scalled makes my PC explode like a firey ball of hell visible from space...

I coped for many years too before I was enlightened, but I've been increasingly anti-M$ for a while and it would take a lot to take my Opera away from me. It was suggested by a real beardie weirdie computer geek friend. I happened to try it before Firefox and cannot switch now. I admit IE7 is an improvement, but it's still a long way behind Firefox which, in my opinion, is still behind Opera.

IE had a tendency to bork my computer, causing errors, BSOD, and spontaneous reboots.  I finally said screw this and went back to using Mozilla.  I briefly flirted with SeaMonkey, then went straight to Firefox.

Even in WinXP, the most likely thing to fry a session is Explorer, and that's saying a lot considering that I've had all of a handful of crashes with XP.  That Windows Explorer (and I know, they're like two peas in a pod) can crash me the easiest is just sickening.

It's only under duress that I installed the IE Tab add-on so that I could view things on the exchange without having to load IE separately.  (For some reason the exchange makes any copies of Mozilla or Firefox work at tortoise speed on my machine.)

I haven't even bothered to install the IE7 update.

I find it necessary on occasion to view a page in IE. I hate to do this, but some people code so badly it's beyondany real browser to display it. How they set up a website without any knowledge of HTML bothers me.
Anyway, I read the CNet review of IE7 and thought I'd try it. They've obviously used FF as their model and there are definitely some improvements, but there are still more holes than the whole M$ corporation can find and even though it looks pretty, it is a larger resource hog and is less useful than Opera. They have once again failed to make a better program, but they have made a more attractive program.

I like it.
And Opera seems to me like a fake program...don't ask me why I say this...

That's because you haven't been using firefox's built in lovelies :)  extensions, addons, and stuff like BUILT IN spellcheck all make my surfing experience all the more enjoyable.

Opera is alright, but I, for some reason, have to open up a new tab in order to change the address in the address bar.  lame.

I also have some sites that i have to use IE for. (sunair) sites that, as a coincidence, don't visit very often.

It would be nice if TAB took you to the address bar. I LOVE keyboard shortcuts. F2 will get you an empty address bar, but there are other things in Opera I can't live without so I deal with that.

Shutting up now.

Ha, I couldn't get Sunair to load/work properly in any browser, including IE.  So to me, whatever they have isn't worth the frustration.

Same here. I had to get a friend to open it in her browser, go all the way through to the download pages, and send me the link. ^^ That worked alright.
