That looks like a site that should be labled something like, "These are my first attempts at recolors!  Please try them out and let me know if they bork your game, okay?  I'll give you benes if you download my crap!"  If they are waiting on someone to pay them for that, they're going to starve to death.

Granted those textures could do with some work. But the meshes aren't any worse than the first ones I made, if - and I do say IF - the creator actually made them himself.

And according to the site the webmaster and the only creator is a 17 year old guy. My bet is he put that one donation set up there because every other Sims site seems to do the same. He's probably more misguided than evil.

So why don't we give the guy a chance and ship him one of those nice letters telling him why charging for custom content is wrong. He might actually listen. Oh - and let's not forget to include a good texturing tutorial.  :lol:

Yeah, there are, sadly, sites that are misguided. They either don't know that it's a VBT and just follow the pack - or they figure one little donation set can't possibly be an issue.

I will say this though about meshing - this late in the game, I'd be hesitant to put anything out that looked bad...there are so many great meshers out there, I think I'd be embarassed. Early on in TS2, I could understand it. Y'all were learning meshing and experimenting with what worked and didn't work in the game. But after six EPs, you meshers (by and large) have got this figured out. I think I'd have found a mentor before putting it out there. I certainly got plenty of opinions and hints before I put my houses and art recolors out into the world....

Well....it is said that if you think back to the point when you became pregnant....if you were ummm "satisfied", then it will be a boy. If you were "left wanting more", then it will be a girl.

I thought it was the other way around. I remember this because it linked the gender of the baby to who had the most fun making it.

Here's my theory on baby gender, for what it's worth.  The mom always knows, like a six-sense thing.  I have three kids and spent 7 years as a social worker working with pregnant moms and babies.  The moms always knew.  They'd say things like, "I know he's a boy" or "I want a boy so bad, I hope it's a boy, but I have this feeling he's a she."  I knew with all three of mine.  I remember with the baby (boy) I wanted a girl so that my daughter would have a sister. . .but I just kept calling the baby "him" and thinking of boy names.  When we went for the ultrasound, he was stretched out proudly displaying his little boy parts. Now he's three and talking about cars and airplanes and football.  All boy.

Congrats on the baby!  I have 2 children, both boys.  My oldest is almost 3, and my youngest is almost 2.  It's very busy in my house.  I definitely kept referring to them as "he" and "him" when I was pregnant, even before I found out what they were, so I think there's a modicum of truth to the "knowing" even if it's on a subconscious level.  (Of course, I wanted boys, so that may have had something to do with it.)

Hmmm....I may have it backwards about the gender for sure....it's like the crystal thing>swing a crystal necklace above the belly and if it swings straight it's one and if it goes in circles it's the other...but i never can recall which.

What's funny is that when my sister was pregnant with my niece (her only child so far), she was convinced she would be a boy. Maybe because it was her first time being pregnant?

However, when my mum was carrying me (her third), her doctor was convinced I was a boy, but my mum kept insisting I'd be a girl. And voila, I'm female. :D

Boys are loads of fun anyway. And you never have to worry about papa meeting anyone at the door with a shotgun to threaten death in exchange for breach of virtue...lol.
I'm a tomboy, so that may have something to do with why I think it's awesome to have my eldest bring me frogs to name. Or why I don't have a problem with having an aquarium full of huge bugs collected from the yard.

Mom wanted a boy, Dad just knew I was a girl because the three before me were all female, so he was happy with what he got: a little girl that he could teach to use tools and climb trees and spit and stand up for herself and all of that good stuff.

Hehe, my moms sensor must have been really busted up.. She thought she was going to have one boy.. ended up with two girls.  :P

Yep, but after the recoil re-broke my collar bone, he wouldn't let me touch a shotgun again. I had to make do with a twenty-two calibur rifle and handguns, bow and arrows, slingshots, hammers, frying pans, hatchets and tomahawks... Something that wouldn't cause the collar bone to break a third time. I was two the first time and it never did heal right...

Poor me I have only been out shooting a few times.... And it does not work well for me. Apparently  my arms are too short to even hold a rifle properly let alone shoot it. I do okay with some bows though.
