Until I discovered this forum I was happy to give support or donate to a fansite.  This site has opened my eyes an I won't give my money up anymore.  Thank you for that.  Now, I have a little problem and I would appreciate any help and advice.  It may seem a trivial problem, but, as they say, it's the principle.  

I signed up for a month's membership at cocosims on Feb 4 2007.  I paid using PAYPAL, however I could not access the site. I posted a few emails to Tammisha Beckles who's site it was with no reply.  On the 10th I got a letter apologising as she had been away.  Fair eough.  She also added she would credit my account for the time I missed.  On march 3 2007, I get an email from PAYPAL confirming a payment to Tammisha Beckles at cocosims.  I wrote her immediately and said I didn't want another month.  Let's face it, her site is limited and I'm not here to support her finacially.  Anyway, no reply to my email.   Having faith in human nature didn't help me here.  I wrote and said I was assuming she was away again and gave her the benefit of the doubt.  A month goes by, and still no replies.  I decided enough is enough and contacted PAYPAL to dispute the payment.  Guess what?   I was too late as there is a time limit when you want to dispute.  I was livid.  To date, despite flooding her with emails she hasn't even reponded to say, haha I ripped you off.  How can I get justice???   All advice will be appreciated.  I'm not going to let this one go until she answers for what she's done.  Yea it may be a measly $5, but like I said it's the principle.  Thank you for your time.

Did you point this out to PayPal? Did she delete the VIP site in March?

I never noticed what it said on the homepage when I first paid.  Saying that, it could have been there, but remember seeing it until after I paid and could access the downloads.  Incidently, when I did notice this message I also assumed she wouln't expect another payment because she was shutting the site down.

I have spoken o PAYPAL and intend on giving them a more detailed description conerning my problem.  In the meantime, I felt it was necessary to post this because she needs to be exposed for what she is.  A pirate! LOL

Sadly, you are not the first to have problems with shady paysite policies and charges. Since you used paypal, the best thing you can do is file a dispute with them, asking for your money back for services not received. Either way, she'll have to reply or paypal can block her account, and she wouldnt want that, would she?

Oh wow! This girl is something else! I had the exact same problem with the site a while ago. No repsonse to two emails I sent and then after the third or so (in which I said I'd write a complaint to paypal) she replied saying she was away (she always seems to be away when a customer has a complant). she was away twice for me too.

Thanx for replying!  So I'm not alone then.  Had a feeling I wasn't the only one.  She certainly seems to be a traveller.  She's an actress and dancer, I googled her.  I'm not giving up on this.  Also it's good to put the word out about someone like this.

If you have donated through paypal, you can most certainly file a dispute claim and will very likely get a full refund. Have been ripped off before from ebay, ebay did fuck all of course, but with paypal i made my point across and they were very obligent.
