No, I guess she just does this to save bandwidth. And have to pay less for her site so that she can keep more of the money she gets from her paysets. And then become an FA at TSR as she needs even more money. Birgit is a greedy bitch.

I have recently spent time at TSR ...and I saw exactly THREE things I wanted in my game...all Aikea Guinea clothes. That was it.

More often, I saw bland designs...ripoffs of other creators...and worse, pay recolors of free items (I hate what some of these people have done to Holy Simoly meshes!). Sad, sad, sad.

Aikea Guinea does not belong there...she does not deserve to be among that shit.  I do hope she escapes sometime...

I agree totally about Aikea. Whatever personal drama people report about her, I don't really care. She still makes some very high quality meshes, especially the ones for our poor neglected men. Nothing I've downloaded of hers looks half assed at all, unlike other new FAs. I think she may have been one of the last real quality recruitments Thomas and co have made, though a lot SAs seem quite talented and they are neglecting that pool.

I love Aikea's stuff. Everyone here is completely right about her.

Unfortunately even if she does see the light & escape, her beautiful creations will forever be in Thomas' grubby little hands.

Maybe someone who knows TSR can answer this one for me.

I've always wondered about the revision option on the stuff you upload.  What's to stop a creator from say over the course of a month or so wiping out his/her own creations and replacing it with Exchange fodder?   Is there any real quality control at TSR?

I'd imagine you'd want to bundle them with "new" screenshots that actually looked like improvements, then bait-and-switch with the crap.

I doubt it would push the downloads up the list to "new" if you updated the files.. but some sites work that way.  I just don't see TSR being one of them. ;p

Don't bother. Most of it is up at her site for free and the other of it is on Meshkisete or something like that.

Birgit recently recreated some items from an evil Sims 1 paysite (a bad sign right there). She posted them in the Juniper Sun forum to show what she was working on.

After all the oohs and aahs, she said, "I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to charge for these." That caused a huge uproar. She ended up being shamed into offering them for free.

So I'm not surprised that she ended up on TSR. She's admitted that the money she charges at Studio B43 is not for bandwidth - she says she deserves it as compensation for her time.

Gosh....if I got compensation for my time while doing my hobby.....

Besides TS2, my biggest hobby is writing...while I occasionally work on a novel, the bigest part of my writing is journaling. So....an average page has 250 words and takes approximately an hour to write, with edits, thinking, complete deletions, ranting to myself about my absurd lack of talent, and chastising myself for thinking I could put two sentences together.....

....as a technical writer in the aerospace industry, I made about $25/hour before taxes....as a writing instructor, I make $45/hour before taxes....but as a theatre critic, I only made $50 for 400 words.....

Am I the only life form in the known universe that isn't crazy about her stuff?  I mean, all her stuff is great quality and she does deserve to be an FA, I'm not disputing that.  But, all her male meshes make guys look like boyband teenagers.

I don't like her stuff period. It just seems so dark and sad to me. I can't stand her boy stuff. I'm sorry but it doesn't look very boyish to me. More like so emo rock band. But their are some of her girl pants that I have liked. And the new capris. Atleast I think they're new.

I love her pants and those new capris.  I don't really like much else that she's done, but the quality of all her stuff (that I've seen) is still really good, whether I like the style or not.  How awesome would it be if she went free?

No, she was already dark.  If you remember she tried to sell a project that the community had worked on together.  I think she pulled other stuff like this as well.

Birgit's sets are being uploaded to the booty as we speak...and I got them for FREE, bitch, before you signed your soul-selling contract.

A lot of them have left or are completely inactive.  We can only guess why.

Thomas has been recruiting again and it seems that he chose Pure Sims and Birgit43 studios.  Which is fine, but the way he does it where he gets them minisites, makes them SA for a week or two and then they are FA's makes it seem like he thinks we won't see through this.  I would almost prefer him just coming out and saying, "Hey, we got two new FA's who have decided to come over to TSR and close their sites. If you don't like it, tough", instead of trying to be all sneaky about it.
