By the use of language in all of the "info" on that site, I'm guessing it's one of those retarded, sparklies loving 12'ves (at least brain-wise). Guess, we have a new guest in the booty.

Anyone volunteering for protocol chit-chat into bringing this JB from the dark side? Who knows, maybe it is just a misguided child... - sorry for the sarcasm, but by the looks of that site, I have a feeling that this is the type, that even if he/she is now not aware of the illegality of her/hi... (oh screw it! lets just call it an it for now)  actions - which at least I doubt -, it won't care when it finds out. Also, the second this JB finds out it's creations are in the booty, I see a little whining show coming up, like: "you hatezz meee! you not nicezzz! i wantzzz more pocket moneyzzz!"

In case I'm proved wrong, I'll gladly take that back.

PS: I know, that since I haven't contributed to this fine pirate community much in words, alas I'm more of a lurker. I rarely say anything, unless I feel it's actually gonna contribute in some way... or just saw something that made me cringe, like a new paysite that looks more crappy than even TSR. I probably should play it more nicely and less venomously for now, but as many of you stated, this is isn't a sparklies'n'flowers playground.

The owner of the site has a youtube channel. He, as it appears to be a he, lists several sites he gets his content from...guess what? TSR is in there!

Hmm, lets see, he runs a paysite, charges rip off prices - putting aside for a moment the fact that charging for content itself is illegal - with a happy-smiley face, annouces he will charge "only this much..." with a comfortable "unless" statement, steals content from other creators, doesn't even have the dencency to redo it somehow except doing a crappy hue/sat recol of the original texture, he's stupid enough to actually admit he steals stuff and keeps a happy face about it, thinking everything's peachy. Could he actually be a graduate of the "The Shit Resource University"?

Since it seems we pretty much have cleared up what type this guy is, I have a little idea. Ferncapel said he admits to getting concent from TSR, so why not go snitch about it to ThomA$$? He's bound to get pissed that anyone by any chance took even a penny from him. It could be a funny show to watch, paysiters eating eachother alive...  ;)

Are you sure they are just recoloiurs? If so then AllAboutStyle and Foomika need to be contacted.. neither of them are going to be pleased to learn that someone is selling dodgy recolours

Paysites are always fail, but JB Sims has manged to fail at having a paysite! At least most pay creators have the sense to try to lure players in with a bunch of free pretties and then charge for the really good stuff, or the completion of a set or whatever. As far as I can tell,s/h/it's got a dozen crappy (ie. 2006-quality) downloads, more than half of which are pay. I can't see a difference between what's free and what's pay at all and wouldn't have any of those pieces of crap in my game even if s/h/it paid me to download them. It's just... Ugh!

No- the purple dress is a recolor of a mesh..just as the one you linked to is a recolor of  a mesh. The site the mesh came from? Their policy is no paysites without getting permission first. Which I bet ole JB didn't do.

All the rest of it aside. The whole idea for the site is ridiculous anyway. JB plans on offering the oldest files for free after awhile? Ooooooook. Then anyone who wants them would be better off waiting.  :D

Mustluvcatz, look at the texture on the purple JB and the red All-About-Style dresses. They're identic, just different colors. The same with the yellow JB and red Foomika. Those are just crappy, hue/sat/colorize recolors of someone elses textures. Thus, he not only took meshes, but stole someone elses work and turned it into fug on the way.

This guy actually makes me wanna breakdown, he's not only dumb (a five year old covers his tracks better), but he can't use photoshop in the most basic stuff, anyone with any experience of graphic editing knows that just using hue/sat colorize adjustment, royally fucks up almost any texture.

I found a link on his YouTube page, I was horrified to see he started a paysite, and even more horrified at the content that people are expected to pay for. :o

WOW! You know, if he was going to steal things from paysites just to resell them, he could have picked pretty things. :D This is just too much. This crap would just take up space in the booty, I doubt anyone would touch it with a simulated 10 foot pole. My eyes have been raped. I feel so violated.

JB has posted an apology for using other people's textures on his website and has apparently removed those downloads. His site is also now 100% free.

There was a comment on there yesterday chastising JB for having the purple dress on there. 2 comments actually, but one was from the creator of the dress..

Good news. :)  Nice to see that sometimes public disapproval of unethical (or maybe just ignorant) conduct can have an effect.  I would have sent a nice note thanking the site owner for going free, but his site went poof.  Too bad actually.  Not saying I'll miss the content on it, but creativity, making CC for the joy of it, and free sites are all to be encouraged.  Maybe the guy was only doing it for the money, didn't make any, so gave up?

And that was fast too! That guy is a winner for a triple award. Most expensive paysite, Shortest paysite state and Shortest site EVAR.
Carla Niven was more expensive... But Carla Niven is an exception, a virtual nature abnomaly. So it doesn't count.
I bet he'll come back with another paysite under another name. I really hope I'm wrong.

The first two still apply but it looks like the third award will have to be rescinded since the site is seemingly back up now (at least for me?). The design is quite nice and I'm glad he saw the light. :)

I watch his YouTube videos and he seemed nice enough so it was a shock to know he was a paysiter. I did too a double take though when I saw the websites slogan. I thought it said 'Where The Creations Are Useless' but it actually says 'Were The Creation's Are Unless'.  :-\

So he isn't a dummy brain-wise 12've. Good. In this case, I'm taking back the venom in the first comment. An occassion like this, is one of the times I actually like that my judgement was wrong  :)
