I've not put Bluesoup into my game because she is made of fail and might crash my game. I have more regard for my computer than to torture it with that sort of thing. I will create a pinata instead and let the Pescado-like child of mine whack at it to his heart's content. Will that suffice, oh Fearless Leader?

I wasn't even here for a month when it happened and it was freaky making. I left for a few days and when I came back it was complete and total chaos. Be glad that you missed it because anger was running so high I wanted a surfboard to ride the waves of it... But the booty staff as we know it now came out of that, so it had a satisfying end. I lurves our booty staff...

I wanted to look at something in my game, so I did a quick story in rememberance of Blue Soup day - and plan to plan my pirate household on my holidays next week.  ;D At least I get to know now if I suck at actual story telling - tell me now - this shit is hard work.  So many tags, so much typing.  :D

Finally, she falls asleep in the bed - also recoloured by Atwat.  But her troubles are not over having contemplated a fish tank earlier, Pescado has plans for a different kind of tank for viewing (http://calalily.sublimesims.net/story/bluesoup/12bluesouptank.jpg).

I joined about 2 months after all the poo hit the fan.  It was a short enough period of time to see references to that fateful day everywhere.  So horrified by BlueSoup's reaction, I felt that joining and talking weren't enough.  I also learned not to piss of Pescado.  And I learned there are a lot of devoted, and well spoken pirates here to take up slack and stress when someone melts down.  I also learned a new term, "souped" which I use IRL much to the chagrin of my husband. 

I won't ever forget, even if I wasn't technically here yet. 

Thanks for the story sum ups of Bluesouping.  I keep seeing references but scattered around in such a way that I can't wrap my brain around what had happened.  Very helpful for the nosy, such as myself.

It's quite the tale. You may hear from some in the community about Pescado's cruelty or about Bluesoup's tragic life, but the bottom line is that at any moment, Bluesoup could have walked away/turned off the computer/admitted she wasn't equal to the task, but she didn't. And she left a mess for Gwendolyne and I to clean up. Whee.

Clearly, Bluesoup has failed us! You must not!

I read the thread about Bluesoup for a while ago, but i did not really understand what she had done wrong, or if
this is a game or not. But if she left leaving a mess to Hecubus and Gwendolyne, then i can understand why this must
be a special day. I was about to say poor Blue when Calalily burnt her, well the pixels in flame should show there
is no need for pityness. I am surprised no more pirates who usually love drama isn't making more entertainment out of this.

I like Bluesoup.  I shared a few pm's with her and she was real nice in them.  She never did anything to me personally, so, I don't feel the need to torture her sim.  I do, however, understand why Hecubus and Pescado feel the way they do.

*Takes a bow*.  ;D  I don't really hate Bluesoup - I quite like her - hence she didn't die in mine - I cannot summon the hate for that.  That being said, she was a bit of flake who ripped up the forum and was all over the place. She also left a mess, and should have given up the job with grace. A little Carla Niven will teach her not to take away MY conversating.   :D

I don't know for sure, Calalily, but, I think Bluesoup would have preferred you killed her.  That meatslab dress was definitely torture, death would have been kinder.  ;D

I actually really liked Blue too, she was funny and interesting to talk to. But she did have a tendancy to steamroll in, go "oh, we should do this" and then flake out.. I had it happen to me too. I think maybe she was just afraid to tell people no. It's a lethal trait.. ;)

Anyway, I just wanted to say:

I was already reading the forum at that time and read it all - except the chat of course - , saw Bluesoup falling apart in few hours, deleting her own small forum elsewhere, then going completely nut here because of pes' thread asking her to give out all the booty access and all the pay accounts details so others could take over. They wanted to take over because the booty was updated once a month with merely a dozen of files - and no files from the sites she liked (ATS2, Holy Simoly,... )

It went into a huge fight, blue saying 'no way I'll do it... when i can!". She understood there was no way out, at least not the way she intended and... Explosed (huge drama explosion!), really blowing up the forum with her. The forum was offline for long hours but Pes' managed to retrieve a copy on the server (missing lots of stuff as it was few hours old) and kept all these infos open so noone could forget. Bluesoup could have given out the booty, but never did. She chose to blow up PMBD.

So all praise Pescado and Hecubus, they saved the booty and this forum ;D

She did also delete the forum leading up to that - we lost hundreds of pages of writing before she started "Be Less Stupid" - I was here when she locked all the forums, and then when she deleted it all.  So Pescado was warned (by her past behaviour) that she might try to do it again, and made backup. When she did, he was prepared for it, and it only lost a couple of hours.

I still say that she wasn't obligated - none of our current pirates are either - give it up anytime they want, if it's getting to them.  But she wasn't willing to give it up.


It's craptasticness is mesmorising ingame.  :D

So, is there anyway I can read this Dramabomb? Seriously, I would love to read the bit where she goes of the rails...

Problem is that she deleted it.  :D So it lives on in the memories of those of us that were here.  We lost like 20 pages in the TSR thread - so even the pre-references are ancient, and really not relevant.

Jess: suffice to say that it sucked, caused a lot of hassle for people, and was extremely childish and destructive.

Took me a while to post as often as I once had after the board-plosions. (Now I don't post as often because life is crazy busy. I still read!)

Had she merely souped off in a huff, or huffed off in a soup, that would have been obnoxious enough. Flouncing is for the self-important drama llamas. Souping ups that x9000.

Instead, she decided to try to burn everything down and then salt the earth, but was thwarted by Pescado having her number and pre-empting any serious or permanent damage. So a few hours' got lost. We're busy enough that all the ZOMG!!!einz1! after the soup'n'crash pretty much distracted everyone. Better even than shiny objects and cake.

Wow, sounds like she went batshit crazy over this. Good thing Pescado and Hec sorted it out.

Still, would have been entertaining watching her go spazz. Then it would have sucked big time. What a bitch.

Erm, it wasn't a few hours that got lost.  I lost my account because of her deleting the phorum!  My account was relatively new at the time but I had it for probably at least a week.  I remember Pescado saying that the backup was like two weeks old.  It was good though in a way.. it was like the spamfest hadn't happened.  All of Zatanna's "I agree" were lost to the wind.

Yeah, unfortunately, all Coconut's TSR  intel was lost too.  I don't think they ever came back and that is too bad.

I mentioned it in my story, and above, but some people aren't getting it - here's a timeline for PMBD:

1. Phorum opens.
2. Phorum going well, Blue Soup uploading the booty in her own fashion. She is also moderator of the phorum, with a very laidback approach.
3. Zatanna arrives and starts spamming up the board - common response to every single post was "I agree" or something equally mindless.
4. Blue Soup makes a spamming thread to try to keep it at a minimum (as some of our talkative talkers who are beloved pirates just arrived, and combined with other talkative talkers activity seemed to explode all at once).  This doesn't work - in the meantime, EzyBreezy** (or somesuch username) arrives and starts spamming up the board too - threads grow 50 pages longer in the short time span of a week or so. Conversation is dead.
5. Blue locks the phorum, and a short time later, deletes the entire phorum.
6. Pescado restores backup from before the posting spree (as he wasn't expecting Blue to delete it, so it was old).
7. Phorum is up again, problems start with finger pointing, many pirates hemorrhaged during this time - particularly the talkative talkers.  :'(
8. Blue makes Be Less Stupid - where people are directed to go instead of PMBD.
9. I stayed here, so BLS events are unknown to me, but Blue deletes that too some time later.
10. All back at PMBD. Calalily rejoices.  :D
11. Pescado suggests Blue have help with the booty, and Hecubus and others from BLS volunteer.
12. Bluesoup deletes PMBD about a week later, but clever Pescado could see the eruption of Mt. St. Blue soup coming and has backed it up.
13. Pescado restores phorum from a couple of hours back, Hecubus and others take over the booty. Zatanna is banned. Situation is as of now.

**Note** Zatanna and EzyBreezy were trolls who planned their attack on this forum, and wanted this to happen - and sat back at their Sailor Moon forum giggling about it.

So there wasn't one deletion - there were two.

Okay, I hear ya, Calalily.  My account was lost in the first deletion.  I forgot about the second deletion because I had actually gone to bed early that night (for the first time in forever) and it all went down.

I didn't mean it for you - just for the people who get confused about it - mentioning "the deletion" is misleading - cause Lorelei's "the deletion" isn't the same deletion as the one where you lost your account.   ;D A few hours weren't lost - days and entire threads were in the first one, a couple of hours (like a blip) were lost in the second.

I came in when the drama was starting and remember the deleted stuff and was wondering if PMBD was for real and if it would survive the chaos. Zatana...I think she made many of us wonder if we should get involved...it was weird.
Pes and hec did a great job...and then others jumped in and I got to know some people and I saw PMBD was a great place for many reasons. I think others saw it as well.
Yes, nevar forget! It was so fail and now it is so not-fail.

Yep - Sailor Moon fans.  Not related to paysites in anyway - would have tied up nicely if it was.  Just a couple of dicks who thought that it was funny to come and upset the ornery pirates.


Oh yes - we were initially fairly nice to them, and it just became a nightmare.  They didn't stop - ever. You'd have to go back a page or two to quote someone and reply to them, and then that was lost under an avalanche of bullshit with the replies of Zatanna and EzyBreezy.  So a conversation like this would be spread over about 10 pages, rather than 3.  Nightmare.

And you're all welcome to the timeline - I thought it was going to lead to convoluted ramblings because a couple of people mentioned "the deletion" while referring to a different one.  :D So now you can see why BLUESOUP HAS FAILED US! YOU MUST NOT!  :D

Isn't there a thread here talking bout these two trolls? If i recall there's a chat transcript that was send to us by an infiltrated pirate or something after their attack. Zhaltanna the female troll was basically saying in cat talk that she inscribed here and that she was so sad because the pirates were so big meanies to her!  ;D And another (supposedly troll EzyBreezy) proposed her revenge: to come here to troll us.

They managed to flood the forum and nearly destroyed it. Pes was so pissed off that these two were banned.

Clearly that worked out so well for them.  I'm glad I wasn't here to witness the dramabomb but I am sorry I can't read old transcripts or something.  Old drama is always good for a laugh.

I remember reading the whole thing (save the chat transcripts) and feeling very WTF about it all afterwards.  I'm mostly a lurker, but I've lurked since the beginning.  Pescado, while maybe not handling the situation the most gracefully (but then again, that'd be like asking a mountain to move out of your way because it's blocking your pretty view), but his point made total sense to me.  She clearly didn't want to do it.  Other people were willing.  What exactly was the problem again?  But she had that thing between her teeth like a cracked Chihuahua holding onto the tail of a Doberman.

Of course, deleting an entire forum just to rid it of two trolls was a clear warning sign of batshit.

Well you guys I think I can add a little more on Zantanna seeing as how I talked to her more than anybody on the forum did. At first, she really wasn't trying to be a troll. Then she went psycho and started putting her friends on the place. And then she did some things to me and my friends that go here (won't go into that because it is private) that had just a little to do with this forum. And if you guys knew the things she suggested us do you'd really hate her. To tell you the truth she tried way to hard to troll after people reprimanded her a bit. Trolling is way too much work.

Red's got it, seeing as we were in the thing together. ;) Zatanna wasn't trying at first, but when people started calling her a troll, she got Eezy to back her up, completely unbeknownst to us in our little group of innocent believers. We didn't think Zatanna had anything to do with her, but it transpired that she did. I asked for the transcripts to be posted, so I know the full story. I was the first one of our group, aside from the one who discovered the treachery in the first place, informed of Zatanna's guiltiness, and the first to do something about it. I didn't think it was fair that the other Pirates here didn't know what she was truly thinking as she mucked up the board.

And people keep congratulating Hec and forgetting about poor Gwen. Hec wasn't alone, remember! She had Gwendolyne beside her the whole way!


Bluesoup has failed us and will forever! We mustn't forget, ever! And we mustn't fail, either!

Well if zaltanna-whatever wasn't trying to troll, it looked like she did: she posted numerous posts everywhere basically saying :"Yes, i agree!". That's why she got flamed for stupidness and flooding and was quickly called a troll. A huge fight exploded at Zaltanna and the forum flooded, blue locked and deleted it. That was the first fight.
The second one was because of Bluesoup and the booty. Again Bluesoup deleted the forum in her drama explosion (after having deleted her other forum 'be less stupid').

War times. ;D

It wasn't just at Zatanna. Some of us were called Zatanna pawns and trolls too. And look where that got you--only three of us remain, two of those three just temporarily whenever they want to.

Yes, it was just bad luck that we had some talkative talkers arrive at the same time who weren't trolls.  Hence my mention about fingerpointing.

We hemorrhaged some good, sweet talkative talkers at that time too - jesserocket and .torque. - such a shame - and why I will never change my avi. :'(

Actually there were other reasons why they left as well so don't feel so bad Cala. I don't think they were too sore over all the nastiness going on (which wasn't really all that nasty once you think about it). I didn't think too much about it even if I was supposed to be scared because I was one of the "ZOMG spammers."

But I lubs them and misses them.  :'( It was nice when they were here - and they were very sweet people.

Well, Torquey had far too much going on with her life and no time to spare. Jesserocket got lost in the abyss of FurryLife, like Blue...

I tried to play second life when a friend of mine fell into it. It's like...... um.... boring.  :P
And unless you purchase pay content (or upload your own, for a fee of course) your character looks like crap. So... I'll stick with Sims. And warcraft if I want to talk to people.

Heh...as I recall, I got into a big ugly fight at SFV with Bluesoup over her hypocricy concerning Second LIfe. Here she was, anti-paysite for TS2, but working for some random Second Life shop where they sold stuff. Sadly, one of hte mods shut it down, but man, I was pissed. I think it was at that point that she blamed me for her taking down BLS... ah, the good old days.  ;D

But at Second Life, don't they encourage that sort of thing?  Over here, EA doesn't really support paysites (but they let them fester), but in Second Life, they even make it easy to exchange Linden money and real dollars.

But why on earth was she still here after deleting someone else's damn forum?

Yes, Second Life encourages it; however, Bluesoup agreed with not just the legal argument, but also the ethical argument about free game content for all. Hence, I don't see how you can stand by selling stuff in one game and not in another - because it's not free game content for all.


As far as why she was allowed back, Pescado gave her several chances to prove herself. When she finally souped on March 18th, her chances had run out. She had indeed failed him. You'll notice that he's not as forgiving these days.

I'm never forgiving. Each and every incident of the Soup freaking out has resulted in permanent losses. I have never given anything back to her. On MATY, when she souped the first time, she lost gmod and I never gave it back, despite dangling it in front of her for embarrassing concessions as a carrot, with no intent of ever actually giving it to her. Because I never forgive. I allowed her to continue with her other duties as long as she continued to be useful. But an elephant never forgives, and neither do I.

I agree with this.. that confused me totally way back when.. It's also a big reason why Second Life has NO appeal. Because that game is either for extremely rich bored Americans or the rest of the world trying to make money off them.
