Shinyfairylights - I know.  I think it's sad, because people don't know that there are some great people here and at SFV that fix broken hair for free.  And I think that people who don't know about the alternatives, might see this as some kind of "deal".  It's terrible, yeah sure you get "6 for $6" but that means you're still paying $1 more for one fixed hair, on top of what you paid her for that hair to begin with.

Fixes of her broken crap should be free, and what she's doing pisses me off even more.

Though I'm curious to see her fixed version of #38, since I offer that on my site.  But I want to go back and fix it up a bit more, it's on my list of things to do.

Oh, and to make things worse (as if paying to have something that shouldn't be charged for in the first place isn't bad enough) - she doesn't even retexture the shit she put out a while back.  The older hairs still have the crappy textures/colours.  The least she can do is...ugh why do I bother trying to find logic in these kinds of things?  They make no sense!! Agreed. I personally think that others who fix these broken hairs, like you, do a better job than the original meshers, like Rose and Peggy. Hopefully not a lot of people buy into it. I wonder why she decided to fix her old meshes? Probably because she saw others fixing them and doing a better job than she did?

After we get the fixed versions, Renegade, make sure you check that the fixed hairs are not yours.

I would not put it past paysite owners for charging money for something somebody else fixed for free.

Actually, I think that is what happened, or that's the way I understood it.  She learned that people were making fixes and who better to beat them than her?  And while she's at it, she can make some $$$ off it, since people won't know about those who do fix her stuff for free.

I'll check to see if #38 is mine - that's the only one from her "limited edition" set that I've got up on my site.  That's not to say that her others weren't fixed by someone else, and she stole theirs.  Wouldn't surprise me at all.

This really makes me angry, though, and I seriously hope nobody decides to do pay for it.  It makes me feel kinda helpless too, because I'm trying to think of some way to raise even more awareness about the shit these paysite owners pull, and if downloaders want quality stuff - people do it for free: fixing, retexturing, recolouring, etc.

Ok never mind I think I found it on your site, you didn't remove the perm part from the pony tail did you? I can't see the back of the hair on your site.

The ponytail hair #38? Damn, I thought I showed a "back" view of the hair, but I guess not.  Anyway, no, I left the part curly, but the rest of the hair is retextured for more definition and whatnot, etc.

It's animated, and I think I fixed the neck gap, but I do plan to get back to it and fix it up a bit more.  Maybe sooner than I thought.  Of course, you're welcome to download it for now.  If I update that, I'll post the update on my front page so everyone knows they can download it again.  I may also redo some of the colours to make them less...vivid, I guess is the word I'm looking for.  Maybe recolour the blondes & reds.   At the very least, I plan to re-fix the mesh, I think.

After going to renegade sims site and seeing the proof I have been trying to get the word out there as to where to find fixed meshes and trying to let people know about this. I recolored the mesh rose hair 40. I will not be uploading it till I get rid of all my sorry hair meshes out of my downloads folder. That is taking me forever..... :( . Anyway Renegade thanks for letting me know. I sure appreciate it and I found the Sims file vault and downloaded others that are fixed.

Rose updated her site today is it just me or is her free item from last month and this month the same?? The only difference is a flower on one and then a bow on the other. Does she think we are stupid or something??

Rose uses a lot of different hair meshes on each page to give the ILLUSION that she has many hairstyles to choose from. So obviously people who bore easily and need as many different hairstyles as possible can be conned. Some of the styles she chooses are okay, it's just that I've seen better. I've downloaded her hair now from the booty and haven't had a chance to check it out. I plan to take pictures in game with the fixed and non fixed versions. Just for curiosity.
I doubt she would've fixed them any better than the Pirates here, because she's the one that made the mistakes in the first place

Hmm...I'm really starting to wonder if Sims' facial shape can affect/exacerbate problems with the hair mesh.  I have that one in my game, and it doesn't look nearly as awful as it does in your pictures.

Yep, I just booted up.  I'll give you the gaps on the child's head, and there's a slight gap in back of the teen, but I can't replicate the front gap issue on an age besides child.

And as I've only used that hairstyle as a formal-linked one for adults, it explains why I haven't seen it.  I tried to play with sliders to change the forehead, and I still didn't get any more gapping in front.

I'm still not going to excuse the gapping, but it had looked nice for what I'd used it for in game, so I was confused.

Quinctia, I think that you may be right - in some cases, a hair is really made for an adult head and stretches oddly on teen or child heads...or vice versa. I appreciate hair for all ages on one hand...but not when it doesn't work right or is CLEARLY too old a style for a kid (there's  a posh do from Raon, I think, that made the child wearing it look like a scary beauty pagaent kid..echos of Jon Benet Ramsay.)

Oh, and there is the YMMV thing...I like some XM hairs that Duckie can't stand, for example...of course, she's got an uber powerful kick ass computer with amazing graphics, so she sees more of the shit than I do on my old frankenstein pc over here....and if Peggy and Rose work for you, great.

I also think there are some things people are more or less willing to upt up with. Gaposis might not bug you as much as it bugs me...but then, I'm not bothered by Vita polys and you might hate them.

All that being said, the fact that Rose is making people PAY AGAIN for shit that should have been fixed in the first place is LOW. LOWER than LOW.

On the other hand, (regarding other forums) I've noticed N99 and Simbella are both advertising "updates" from sites that include pay meshes. ROFL!

It may look less awful depending on face shape/size, but the actual mesh is not constructed to fit the default head of a Sim.  I don't know how she "builds" her meshes, but it seems that instead of constructing a mesh around any default scalp template, she just makes something and then tries to smoosh it on a Sim head, without bothering to make sure it fits properly.

I will give that it is not at all easy to take a hair mesh that is made for adults and convert it for lower age groups. I'm trying to do that with a hair I've "made" (read: altered Maxis) and I've only got it made for Teens.  Even still, I'm having a weird transparency problem that is not happening with adults, and I can't find out why the transparency is happening since I've made sure all the numbers are proper and match up in SimPE and Milkshape.

Btw that hair I posted has a TAIL at the back of the head anyway!! It doesn't make sense!  I do admit I like the style  - I just don't like the gaps and the tail at the back which makes it look kinda dumb (in my eyes).

Of course, this all depends on peoples' tastes and stuff but the main point is that:

1. She's charging for hair meshes in the first place, which is WRONG.
2. She's charging for the FIXES of her broken meshes, which is beyond both wrong and stupid.

And Requip - that's both dumb and funny. :lol:

Edit: Actually, the gap still appears using a Maxis default head.  It's not "as big" as it looked on my Sim, but it's still there and to me it's noticable.

Wow.  I'm going to go take a picture, because this is so weird to me.  I know I'm not getting a gap.  Just because I want to make sure my eyes are not broken!  (I'm using face template replacements AND I've been playing bred-in-game legacy sims, so I could have some variation, but it doesn't seem like that much is possible.)

I've wondered with some of the wonkier hairs if the prolific hair-makers like Rose or Peggy have discovered a secret with Maya or Poser conversions that escaped those who were trying to do it for free.  It seems a lot less likely that they could make some good hairs from scratch and fail oddly at others, than have an easier time converting a style than the others.

I think the "tail" is supposed to be fallen strands.  It looks ridiculous on any outfit with a collar or back (which most of my formals don't have), but it's okay for my minimal application of it.

Rose still sucks hardcore for charging for fixes.  If she had fixed them and offered the fixes free (even if she required proof of past payment), I would've at least have given her credit for admitting her mistakes and/or limitations.  This is just a new level of wrong, though.

The child gaps are just as bad as yours, and I can actually see the teen one no matter how a sim is moving, so that might actually look worse for me.  Weird.

I've got several of your fixed meshes in my game, and I love them, and I know you know what you're doing...it's just odd that there's that bit of variation.

cruel_princess, if you were replying to me, I'd respect her fixing mistakes for free if that's what she had done, just because I've seen so many people on the internet whine and throw fits in the face of valid criticism that, even though her owning a paysite and charging for stuff sucks, if she could admit she was wrong and fix things correctly, it'd be refreshing.

Since she didn't, hasn't, and probably won't ever, it's kind of silly to decry my hypothetical response to a hypothetical situation. ;)

Variation or not: to me, gap is gap.  Annnnnd I fix for all ages, so if your adult has a teeny gap and your teen/child has a huge one - no worries, I shall make it so they are all gapless.  That's my goal anyway :)

Forehead gaps don't do too much besides make a hair look kinda ugly if you turn your Sim at a certain angle.  It's the neck gaps (visible or not) that are the problem, because if they are not connected to the neck/head, it will eventually show when you actually play your game.  Sometimes gaps are not visible in CAS but you will see a large portion of your Sim's head or neck missing during gameplay.  That's why it's a problem to just "pull down" a hair over the neck, instead of taking like ..10 min max? to close it.

The above paragraph wasn't directed at anyone in particular, I'm just babbling and I really don't know why.  I'll stop now :P

And yes, paysites suck for charging anyway, but because she's charging for the fixes, she's making her custom content scam into an even bigger custom content scam.  If she'd fixed it for free she'd still be ripping people off, but in a kind of nicer way...I think :roll:

I've actually been pissed off about the gap thing over at Peggy's and Rose's for awhile now. Being that I have always refused to pay money for pretty pixels, I figured these gaps weren't present in the donation pieces.

But yes, now I know better and that is fucking horrible. To do a shitty job on a free hairstyle is pretty terrible by itself, but to rip off the poor saps willing to pay? That's fucking whack, yo.

I actually agree. I was an ugly baby (just.. trust me on this), but I still think my baby-self had a lot of charm! I actually just plain love babies. My little sister was born when I was 9years old, and since then I have been like, "BABIES ARE AWESOME."

Heh, looking at that site, my second daughter would win a lot there. I had really bad time having her. she had her cord around her neck and got all smooshed on her way out. The also had to incubate her. So in her first pictures her face is all smooshed up and wrinkled, plus she was as red as a lobster. She was still the cutest to me. Now my first baby I don't know why but she came out so perfect thick head of hair perfect skin she was just beautiful too.

I also came out with the cord wrapped around my neck (6 times I think?). I looked purple and my family thought I was going to be a black baby. My father is half-and-half, so it wouldn't have been too odd. Except... no, I was just suffocating.

Probably didn't help that I was premature by a good month and a half, but yeah.

I'm sorry, I don't buy the poor Engrish excuse in this case, simply because her NEW set does NOT say "fixed", and she knew she meant "put together" not "fixed" because she said "put together" in the email.  Otherwise she would have agreed with the emailer that the hairs were part of a "fixed" set.

Btw, the hair in question that the emailer wanted was the #42 hair, because they thought it was fixed and were upset that they missed the "time limited offer" of fixed hair.  

Rose is full of shit by saying "hairs were work well", which I assume means that the hairs aren't broken so there's nothing to fix.  That particualr hair is hideously borked for the toddler (and I think the child).  I've tried messing around with that a while back but didn't get any satisfactory results.  I think that's beyond my abilities, at least right now.

Actually, you can not get a good translation by using a translation program. The only way you can translate something properly is to find a human translator.

I still cant think of any translator (no matter how bad it is) that would have confused "put together" with "fixed" so I still tend to believe that a bad online translator is still better than the scam she is running that she is blaming on bad english.  I would rather have to deal with a bad translation than be fooled by a bad excuse.  (not that I would pay for anything she made)

Alia is right, online and computer translators are horrifyingly awful and make really, really basic mistakes because they are not human or intelligent and so have no concept of context or proper language use. However, considering the amount of money that Rose is likely pulling in, the "poor translation" excuse doesn't really fly with me. She could, more likely than not, hire an actual human to translate for her if she really gave a damn.

Unfortunately, mistakes like that are very common when using an online translator/translation program. I remember reading a "translation" from English into Finnish that was translated by using some translation program/online translator.

Did the translation make any sense? None whatsoever.

The text was about Jesus, and for example when the original text talked about how Jesus was the deliverer, it was translated into Jesus being the supplier/pusher. Also, every instance of the word "was" was for some incomprehensible reason translated into "yeast", which is not even a verb.  :roll:

Peggy and Rose probably aren't really known outside the Sims 2 community (far as i know anyway), so they probably aren't damaging the image of East Asian creators too much on a macro level. And even within the Sims community, there are plenty of good, free creators from the region - like Louis of Sim Cribbling (who also makes amazing mods for the Elder Scrolls games) and Seomi, who counter the bad image.

Unfortunately Seomi has been gone for a while, as well as Louis/Ren.  :(  Their stuff really is fantastic though, and I suppose that's mostly because they don't feel compelled to create something new every day since they aren't selling their stuff.  I wish they'd drop by at least once a month, though, but I understand that people have other things to do.  (I really want the pigtails that Louis showed a preview of a while ago.  :lol:)

I really liked the Seomi and Ren stuff, and it's a miracle they weren't pay although Seomi posted some stuff at TSR quite a long time back. Both of their meshes were extremely versatile and Ren's skins were a godsend.

Though I didn't really like the piercings in the bellybuttons for Ren's skins.
I too wanted those pigtails, they were the epitome of cute...at least to me! The reason why Ren and Seomi's stuff are pretty much some of the best is that they don't get payment for it, but as a result have gone AWOL as well.

That really sucks. And they actually bothered to animate their meshes, unlike some people we know (points to Peggy).

On an unrelated note, Aikea_Guinea has posted a story at TSR. She didn't actually write it, she just adapted it to Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven.

Actually not too surprising as I think their hairs all look the same.  The Rose one looks much better done in the picture, who knows about in game though, why make it right the first time when you can fix it and charge twice?

The rose hair looks better from the front but ridiculous from the back. It should have been just one ponytail.  Last time I wore more than one was back in 3rd grade. I still might dl it because I do like the front minus that white hairclip.

That's like pretty much the same damn hair, except different textures, and Rose's is ridiculous from the back.  Then again, so is Peggy's as I'm pretty sure that the hair starts halfway up the sims head (from the back).

I might end up loading both meshes into milkshape sometime just to see how similar they are, and then laugh.  And then...I have no idea what I'll do :/  Actually, there are slight differences, but that could have been changed by Rose, assuming she just stole it from Peggy (or they both stole it from Poser or another source).  The only "glaring" differences I see are the front two strands and that second ponytail at the back.

But yeah, Rose's version looks much better from the front, hate from the back.  Do I want this?  Meh.

That hair further reinforces my conspiracy theory that Rose and Peggy are the same person.

I didn't mean the animation boxes, just that Peggy uses converted Poser hair meshes (without giving credit, I must add) and Rose may too.  Some Peggy hairs look like XM Sim hairs because it was proven (by pictures too similar to be mere coincidence) that the hairs were converted from Poser.

There was a big hullabaloo over XMSims, Rose, and Peggy having similar hairs because they converted the same Poser meshes.  (At least XMSims took the time to lower the polycount and adjust the fit of the mesh.  Still, they converted it without credit.)

OK now that is something. It is a shame that they do not make the hairs to look as nice as those on the poser photos. There are some real cute hairstyles there. I do like Xmsims hairs though as they do such a nice job and theirs are free by gosh.

Actually, I'm not totally convinced the first hair by Peggy is a Poser mesh.  Those 2 hairs are only similar and Peggy shows an Avril Lavigne hair that she used to make it.  They look just alike.

Aikea_Guinea taking on the Raven makes me want to do a Sim story adaptation of Pinocchio starring Benjamin Long. I could make it so he's lying about not having a paysite. And so it ties in to this topic, he can use the money to pay for his wedding, and charge six bucks for fixed hairs.

I looked at both in Milkshape and I don't doubt that either they got it from the same source, or Rose took Peggy's and "improved" it a bit, with some changes/tweaks here or there.  It wouldn't be too difficult for someone like Rose to do that, but I can't say that the meshes are identical, since they are not.  Still, a LOT of time has passed since Peggy released that hair and Rose released her similar version..

Which ponytail is stupider, on Rose's mesh: the top or the side?  Since they are two separate ponytails, if you remove the side one, the top one is very short.  It's the side one that makes it go over the shoulders like that.

I don't normally do this, especially not for something I am unsure I will ever release, but is this an improvement or does it take away the "spunkyness" effect that's created when the top ponytail is there? (I probably should have used one of the lighter colours, sorry):

This is with the top ponytail removed from the mesh directly - interestingly enough, that reduces the poly-count by about 2000!  The hair mesh by Rose, unaltered, is about...I think it was almost 8000 polys.  I don't remember, but it was definitely over 7000.  Peggy's was at least under 3000 :/

I like it with the top ponytail removed. It looks much better. Especially without that dumb barette thingy. I am sure it is still there but not sticking up in the air like that. If you fix it like this I will be the first to download the fix.

I know, there was no need for the poly-count to be so high (especially if Peggy's was under 3000).

I think I'll actually finish working on this one first, since I actually like the textures (which means less work for me! :lol:) Of course, there are neck/ear/forehead gaps with this mesh that are a bit tricky to fix (for me), but I'll try my best.

Yes, the hair clip is still there but only for the sidepony tail, since otherwise it would be magically lifted to the side lol. I removed the entire top ponytail & clip. If I recolour, which I probably will, I'll change the colour of the clip to something closer to the actual hair colour, i.e. black-ish clip for black hair.

In all honesty, I kinda like the overall effect created with the top ponytail, but having two is just stupid, so oh well.

Renegade--I think your edit looks much better!  I have the Peggy version in my game, but I don't have Rose's, and don't want it because of the ugly top-ponytail.  But, I think yours is the best of the bunch.  :)

I actually don't mind high polycounts on body shop stuff when it matters.  Like, HP's curly hair mesh or Nouk's curly ponytail or Atlaua's peacock dress mesh.  I don't get how that ponytail benefits from a high poly count.  What's worse is that she doesn't say on her site that the ponytail is high-poly.  Some poor kid with a Dell 240 (or something crappy like that) will be wondering why they can't play their game.

CapnJojoba - just for you, I double checked in both SimPE and Milkshape and yes, the mesh itself, for Adults, is 10576.  The teen is 10582, child = 10590, and toddler = 10556.  It's so big because it has so many rounded parts I think - that, and they don't really pay attention to polycounts when they build, it seems.

:( It's rather unfortunate since I like this style.

Neriana - I don't know if Nouk would fix it but I could give it a whirl :P

ETA: Okay, my initial attempt at reducing the polys failed.  I tried bringing it down to 4400, which resulted in pretty severe distortion and a "spotting" effect :(  That and the fact that I've been told the best way to reduce polys is to not create something that's so high-poly in the first place.  Since I didn't make it and have no clue how to re-make it, I don't know what I can do.  I think I can bring it down to about 6000 or 7000, even though that's still high :/ I might try later, but I think I'd rather work on the Rose hair.

That one will take a bit more work, I kind of did a crappy job initially with removing the ponytail.  The way I did it - if you see your sim from an angle that shows part of the top view...well it doesn't look so pretty :lol:

You know, I actually thought the Rose version made more sense.  Just because, okay, you pulled stuff back in a couple clips because you're doing your makeup, whatever...makes sense, especially now since you can assign sims hair for their underwear.

For Raon, I am amazed that somebody who (most probably) didn't go to college could count to 32,000 polys. After all, anybody who meshes crap for a living can't be that high up in the social system of things. I mean, who says, "Downloads All"?? You is knowsing grammar irks me with no crap left...

This would only make sense if the bangs and hair at the sides were out of the way.  If someone were pulling their hair back for makeup or facecream, you wouldn't see them with hair dangling over their eyes and sides of the face while having two ponytails.

Also, there's at least one other rose hair that does a better job of creating this appearance - it's the one with the tail at the back.

If the top ponytail works for you, that's great :) Everyone's got different tastes.  For me, it doesn't because I like to have my Sims wear styles you'd actually see on the street - I don't tend to think in terms of "what would look better for formal, undies, etc..  For me, the style looks better with the top ponytail gone because wiith it gone, it looks like someone pulled their hair into a simple yet nice-looking sideponytail.

Luckily, my computer can handle a high poly count, but holy crap! I'll have to remember never to put Raon hair on more than one Sim in a household. That's like the poly count of a really nice car, on someone's head. :shock:

Fresh Prince can verify (I saw him lurking 'round these parts a day or two ago), but I think even cars aren't THAT high poly.

This conversation has led me to make a plan tonight.

1. Delete my "Hairstyles" folder and subfolders.
2. Go to Renegade Sims Site and MTS2 and download nice low poly fixed hairs.
3. Go to Naouk and Xsims and download hairs there.
4. Say out loud three times "I will never download Peggy, Raon or Rose hair ever again"

Fricken hell.... so many things wrong with those damn meshes, and I in my weak moments (and just to have some hairstyles dumped in there) pulled a whole bunch in from the booty. Only to find it unbinned ugly and now with high poly count? Obscene.

Thanks Renegade and other meshers for keeping Simmers happy with happy computers free of bloated ugly blinking meshes and gaps!

And I'm supposed to be packing to move tonight... ah well...  :lol:

I'll make a more detailed post later in response to some things mentioned above, but I just wanted to mention that the hairs that are up on my site currently (like as of 3am EST Oct 31) have NOT been reduced in poly - at least not intentionally (I don't know if my fixes slightly brought them down, etc).  I don't even know what their polygon count is :oops: I'll check them and display their numbers on my next update.

For the longest time I didn't even have the option to check polys and got frustrated with tutorials because i didn't have the right plugins for simPE lol.

From this point on I will be trying to reduce polys if possible, and will write the number of polys beside the download so everyone can see.  It will either be the same as the original mesh or lower, so you'll know if it's the same or been poly-reduced cuz I'll mention something like "Reduced polygon count" or ..something. I'll figure it out later :P

I'm not down with how it works I've only just started meshing and haven't ventured very far, but if you figure it out it might help you with your hair editing. Like everyone else I adore the fact that you go to the effort to fix Peggy and Roses more craptacular hairs. :)

I'm not sure how good the in-built poly reducer is in Milkshape, or if this will be much better, but I would be willing to give it a try.



I have no clue, since I've only recently started checking. I've only seen the polycounts of 2 of her hairs - one is the 7700 one shown earlier, and the other (not shown) was about 4000-5000. I brought it down to like 2800 I think, it's not on my site yet though.



In SimPE, open up the MESH file of a peggy or rose hair in question, select the GMDC tab in left window, select the adult GMDC option in the right window, and you should see some junk in the Plugin View at the bottom.  It should say "Models(Faces=XXXX, Vertices=XXXX)"  Faces is the PolyCount.  It doesn't matter if the checkboxes are all checked, the number at the top of the box that displays groups will add them all up.

I once found a really nice looking short hairstyle of 40.000 poly's. It was by a free creator though, [ERROR CANNOT HAS SHIT ON FREE CREATOR]. I'm sure she can fix it since her other hair is very good.

Are you sure? I have that mesh in my game and looked up the polys in the way Renegade suggested and it said 3056 polys (the Faces= bit said that).

I don't have Male Donation Hair 18 in my game, but I saw this post, so I bootied it and checked it out (in SimPE and Milkshape).  It does indeed have 3056 polys.  It's 3056 for the adult, 3004 for teen and child, and 3062 for the toddler.  If you've got that hair in your game and like it, there's no reason to delete it - the poly count is not too high and won't affect your game in any significant way.

Glad to hear I actually got something right with SimPe! I have that mesh ingame for Nanceygirl's David Tennant sim; just the mesh and the recolour though, it doesn't suit any other sim :lol:

I think I have the lower poly Raon hairs in my game; all the big ones aren't to my taste :lol: Lucky me!

Actually, the only thing that could add up to the amount fourohfourerror stated was if you calculate the sum of all four age groups of that mesh.

Adult: 3056 + Teen: 3004 + Child: 3004 + Toddler: 3062 = sum of 12,126 for 4 age groups.

That's because the mesh scanner is probably adding up the polys for all age groups.  I've never used that tool, it's much easier to just open the mesh file in SimPE and click on the appropriate GMDC to see it's polys.  Simple, and makes you one step closer to being cool cuz you can "understand" SimPE ;)

Thanks for the tip Renegade.  I think I figured out the mesh scanner while following a tutorial to remove objects from the game that had high polys.  I guess since objects don't have age groups, that's why it was used there.  I just didn't realize it added all the age groups up for hairs.  :D

I am sure that is the case. I think they make these hairs not for our enjoyment like nouk does but for the greed. You figure with Rose....she charges 2.50 a hair. As popular as she is I am sure she gets at least 200 donating for the hairs. That in itself is 500.00 a month. I am sure she easily clears 1000.00 a month. If she cared about the fellow simmers she would work harder to make her hairs of better quality.

Um, guys?? I have to confess, I wore it too. And, between my stylist and I, we kind of came with an updated version which looks really good on me. It's hard for me to find a style that suits me, cause my hair is totally rebellious...

Whoops. Sorry, thats what I get for mentioning Sarah Jane. However, since this thread is already derailed...

I think people who have only seen the new Doctor Who are a little surprised when they realize that the Doctor hasn't always been young and relatively good looking. Up till Five, he was always a bit older (though Four was not as old), and more of a fatherly or grandfatherly figure rather than "cute". Four was awesome and fun, but Five was probably the first Doctor anyone really ever did the fangirl thing for. Six wasn't my cup of tea, and Seven was back to the older Doctor. Eight was pretty, but the movie was pretty awful. Don't get me wrong, I adore Tennant as the Doctor, but it isn't because he's cute or adorably geeky (those are perks, but really I like him because he's like the best bits of Four and Five, and I love them). I think basing who is the best Doctor on looks is kind of, for lack of a better word, silly.

Especially since they're essentially the same man.  LOL!

Ahhh I didn't like Rose that much. She was okay, but I've never, ever liked Billie Piper so I was never going to end up liking her that much. I really liked Martha, she was really good. She bugged me sometimes cause she was a bit too obviously loving the doctor (not that I really blame her lol) but I still like her. However, she's not gonna be in the next series until like half way through, and apparently Catherine Tate is playing his assistant! Sorry, but I really couldn't take her playing the assistant seriously.

Oh you won't get Doctor bashing from me, I like them all. I've have seen Doctor bashing before, mostly aimed at Six (poor bloke) and it can sometimes go abit too far.

But you want to know what's worse? The Rose vs Martha arguments, which end up with fangirls screaming and bitching. Some can get very rude and just go fricken nuts and I get a bit pissed off with them sometimes, especially when you (I've had first hand experience) say you prefered a companion to another and all hell breaks loose. Although, it's nowhere near as bad if you upset a Doctor/Rose fan *shudder*

Oh and - the first producer of the show in 1963, Verity Lambeth, died on Thursday and it was the shows 44th birthday yesterday.

And back to the you stole my weave game..... Rose's new hair looks like one of peggy's old things. Doesn't it make you wonder if they're doing it on purpose to bug each other and have a 'who can do an ugly hair the best' game, or if they're just really stupid and don't realize what they're doing?

But meanwhile, on the subject of Dr. Who and all things related: something very cool is happening in the US, likely caused by a combination of overwhelming adoration and the writers' strike - we'll be getting Series Two of Torchwood about the same time as Brits get it on BBC2. That's NEVER happened, as far as I can tell, a popular series being shown across the pond so quickly (nearly simultaneously, near as I can figure). I'm all kinds of excited. (What this also means is that we don't have to wait a year to resolve the cliffhanger ... only about six weeks. Muahahahaha!)

Well, the free hair is almost cute.  Maybe if it didn't have the little caps on it.  One girl at my old high school did my hair up like that.  Called them little bear ears.

That free hair I think is a Chinese culture style because I've seen it in drawings where the character is Chinese. I think it's cute, but I don't think I'd use it in my game.

The pay hair on the otherhand looks like hair extentions gone very wrong. It also reminds me of a really old Peggy hair that made me think of jellyfish.

Look at her "gifts" area. You can find a "recolored" version of this hair there... I wouldn't call it recolored but alpha-edited, the longer parts are just cut away. But who'd need to get the special gift if you can do the alpha-edit yourself - or use the free hair that's so similar to the alpha-edited pay-hair.

I also agree that it is not good advertisement to have a potleaf above your bed on your site for minors that are downloading all the time.
