Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: Captain Feathersword on 2006 November 27, 16:21:26 I am still a lurker and sometime poster at TSR. I won't defend the indefensible, but I found this (http://forums.thesimsresource.com/showthread.php?t=324714).
"baa baa" They think the exchange should be closed as it breaks the rules!?!?!?! It would be funnier if it wasn't so sad. Quote the people who are stupid enough to put pay things on other sites will get what they deserve sooner or later... Watch out Pescado the sheep are coming to get you. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: torque on 2006 November 27, 16:40:19 The person who started the topic is like a 9 years old.
Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: migamoo on 2006 November 27, 17:17:57 But then they shouldn't be playing the game! It's rated T for TEEN!
Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: torque on 2006 November 27, 17:27:24 I don't know how old he/she is, but if u typ liek dis and act like this
Quote OMG i just herd that since sims 2 pets it includs the mesh for sims! they cant help it i dont know if its true! then you probably aren't much older than 10. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: Mac_in_Black on 2006 November 27, 17:27:48 Well now, that was a good read. Do I really have to keep reading bad posts from 9 year olds? Lord, learn to type and spell and punctuate.
And yes, if they are 9 this game is not for them. I am surprised at the amount of 10 years olds I come across at TSR, posting whatever nonsense they wish. I've got a few on my ignore list because it's so aggravating. Someone said it in that thread, I don't care to go look who said it, but it was said that perhaps Maxis changed the mesh inclusion thing with Body Shop because they feel this stuff should be for free. I found it funny though that the poster is so honked off about it. I don't think JM has to worry about that particular sheep. What do they say? Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups? Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: torque on 2006 November 27, 17:31:46 Then again, notice the stupid number name 966 or whatever. 2006-1996=10.
Our sheep is most likely 10 years old. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: Pescado on 2006 November 27, 17:35:32 There is no 10. That would still be 6.
Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: Mac_in_Black on 2006 November 27, 17:39:01 Anyone in the mood for lamb chops?

Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: wyrdwing on 2006 November 27, 18:02:02 Quote I think the fact that Maxis purposely changed the way things are packaged up in Body Shop to now include the meshes of objects is an indication that Maxis feels these items should be freely shared. As they say... actions speak louder than words. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. I mean, they could definitely just be doing it so they don't look bad. But since they have the right to do so, it's silly to try to say they're awful for doing so. This mesh uploading business will help the Exchange, where it was more useful, and more deserving to be closed beforehand! Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Although lamb is really particular. If it's not fresh enough it tastes ickily of that "zoo" smell, if you know what I mean. My dad tells me fresh Mongolian lamb is the best tasting lamb ever. He had it when he made a visit to Inner Mongolia, and he says he hasn't forgotten the taste since. I really oughta go when I get the chance. Just thinking about it is making me drool. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: Mac_in_Black on 2006 November 27, 20:43:04 I'm sure it has that "game" factor like rabbit and deer. Too chewy and tough or just right. Mmmm, mmm, lamby chops.
You know, I'd have to say the 10 year olds I come across on TSR are in Europe now that I think about it. I usually ask if their mother knows they're on posting rubbish. Here in the states we fall under T for Teen, but that doesn't stop 7 year olds from horsing around in imaginary land. The least they could do is learn to type so their posts don't make my eyes bleed and my head hurt. :P I have to agree with whoever said "actions speak louder than words". Indeed. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: alia on 2006 November 27, 22:46:07 I used to teach English as a foreign language to 10 year olds. Unfortunately kids that young cannot grasp the difference between 1337-speak and proper spelling. So, I'm sorry to say, but it seems you'll be stuck with them.
Oh yeah, and they insisted on saying LOL in classroom, despite me explaining to them that it's an acronym, not a real word. Edited because I'm a grammar nazi. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: jesserocket on 2006 November 27, 23:23:20 I say LOL in real life. Mostly when I'm vaguely amused by something, but can't actually be bothered to laugh...
But Internet Rules, my ass. EA are breaking the rules of TEH INTERNETS. And Internet is Serious Business, you know. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: Plum on 2006 November 27, 23:32:30 It's funny how indignant they get. Adorable.

Traveling thru Mexico, I had BBQed goat, very good stuff, and any other mystery meat which might have been available on the taco carts--loved those.
I heard there's a reason why the people in Mexico keep their dogs on their roofs. I have no idea if it's true. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. It's always awful to find yourown creation on other site, it's like a stolen picture! poor sad deluded soul...there are so many wrong things in that comment...actually other than the fact that people do spend a certain amount of time making things ready for use in the game, all the rest is wrong. "unhonestly"...dear god *shakes head* and I was surprised a little bit too by the tsr mod's comment...i'm surprised they haven't paddled her yet for implying it's ok to upload tsr pay meshes lol Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. I like how they say that the creators allow us to pay for their stuff. Oh my! Thank you so much for letting me buy something that I shouldn't have to pay for! Shouldn't the creators be slap-happy that we pay them at all? It's a matter of choice on our behalf, not us being 'allowed to pay'. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Title: It raises it's ugly head everywhere. Post by: Helena on 2006 December 06, 10:43:41 The main reason for people to act this way is their own stupidity.
They are angry because they were not smart enough to find the place where they can get paystuff for free. They think that if they paid money for some crappy stuff, it won't be fair for others to be smarter and download for free. Of course there might be some people, that follow every rule, they know  Like no beer & cigarettes till 18, no sex before marriage   I suppose that such people pay every time they see that something has a price without thinking if it is right or wrong to ask money for virtual stuff.
