Title: Simply Simsational Post by: simminggramma on 2006 November 25, 01:26:55 I had some time to kill this afternoon and I was just browsing links I'd never heard of and came across this site with nothing but the following notice. Anybody know anything about this site, if it was free or pay, or what kind of items were offered?
http://www.simplysimsational.org/ Simply Simsational is closed! Due to the lack of time to update and the insanity in the Sims 2 community, I have decided I no longer want to be part of it. I thank all of you for your support. Kira Should we maybe credit Retail Sims with a kill mark, since she seems to have a lock on insanity? Title: Simply Simsational Post by: Anouk on 2006 November 25, 01:35:52 It was a free site, as far as I know. She used to host other sim sites as well, but she had no more time. She once hosted my site.
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: simminggramma on 2006 November 25, 01:44:27 I apologize for the catty remark, no offense was intended. Seeing as how she was one of the only two affiliates of Retail Sims, I couldn't help but jump to conclusions.
Bad, bad gramma! Title: Simply Simsational Post by: Pescado on 2006 November 25, 10:05:57 Woo. I think that means a new Killmark. Anyone got their logo anywhere?
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: Anouk on 2006 November 25, 11:16:35 It was a pay site? I didn't know that :o
I just knew she hosted me for 2 months and had good service :) I think her main thing was the hosting service for sims2 websites, not the paysite. I don't think it's a kill mark in favour of this site however, she has had some personal things to take care of, very important. She's on this forum so she might tell you, but it's a very good reason to quit. But if you want a sticker, that's fine :P Title: Simply Simsational Post by: torque on 2006 November 25, 12:56:04 Quote from: "Pescado" Woo. I think that means a new Killmark. I know Kira (the owner of the site)... I can't remenber, but I think she didn't have a donation or pay section... If she did, then I didn't notice. However, I do know for a fact that she was ok with file sharing. She even said pay sites didn't have a leg to stand on in this issue legaly.
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: popsicle on 2006 November 25, 15:48:14 Woot! Two down!
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: wicked_one on 2006 November 25, 16:21:35 well since the site refuses to load for me i googled and found this:
http://thesimswell.welldressedsim.com/simsite.php?id=00252 Quote Free Sims 2 Downloads with tutorials, daily finds and now an added donator gift section! Donate $1.25 or more and receive a full year access to any donation files! You won't find this anywhere else! (page last updated by Kira October 5th) I can't remember if i've ever been to the site unless i see it, but i know i've seen alot of people link to it or put the button on their site. Title: Simply Simsational Post by: Quorneater on 2006 November 25, 16:46:34 Well it's still statistically one less paysite, which is good, and please read this knowing I wish Kira all the best as an individual with whatever is happening in her real life.
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: CatBallou on 2006 November 25, 20:03:29 I remember visiting there a couple of times. The quality of what was offered in the donation was really bad I didn't go back.
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: jesserocket on 2006 November 25, 20:55:55 Yey, killmark?
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: Absolute on 2006 November 26, 00:23:35 I was there a couple of weeks ago looking for wall papers, I found a few but not a lot, however I did notice that there was at least one donation paper (or more) on each page..
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: jesserocket on 2006 November 26, 00:26:43 Donation wallpaper? Unless it's something you've done like, pixel by pixel, to make it all sorts of awesome....then that's just a shite thing. Donation wallpaper...-_-
Title: Simply Simsational Post by: lemmiwinks on 2006 November 26, 00:46:49 All of my wallpapers are meticulously crafted in 3D using AutoCad, exported as a dxf file to Corel. Then converted from vector to raster and exported as a BMP. Imported into Paint to flatten it out and get rid of unwanted details. Homecrafter then does all the hard work for me. Viola! A flat white rectangle with no texture.
That will be $100, please. Title: Simply Simsational Post by: torque on 2006 November 26, 13:28:30 I like my wallpapers pink and flowery in the game, so I get awesome wallpapers from Parsimonious.
Donation wallpaper? Just say no.
