Title: CHEEZSERVER MAXES OUT! Post by: Pescado on 2007 August 10, 05:51:26 As you may have noticed over the past few weeks, our Cheezserver is maxed out. We're running at our maximum output of 10 Mbps, more or less around the clock. This is both good and bad. Good, because it means a lot of paysites are being destroyed. Bad, because it means the cheezserver is slow.
Debates about what to do are ongoing, between leaving it as is, or purchasing an additional Cheezserver. Naturally, an additional cheezserver will cost funds which we don't have on top of the funds for the renewal of the existing cheezserver (most of which we have). Alternatively, we can just ignore the problem, and you can suck it up, losers. You decide. Title: CHEEZSERVER MAXES OUT! Or put up a map to Davey Jones's locker, the closer we get to our goal, the closer we get to the locker and then finally get there. It's apt because we are in the business of sending paysites to the Locker in the first place! That and we finally got to see the first two POTC movies and it's still on my mind, or what is left of it...

Don't even give it a second thought on what paysites will think/say. I don't think any of us really care what they think or say. They obviously are not part of the community. It was they that made that decision, not us. These are voluntary donations and we are not expecting anything in return, just banning together to help out another community member for something we enjoy.

After installing some increasingly draconian metering equipment and finding the line STILL maxed out and dropping packets, while traffic remained unusually low as a result, I complained to the Malaysians and it turns out there has been a bureaucratic snafu somewhere. Performance may improve over the next few days. We will see.

I have several times pulled my hair out, couse i can't load the site, (i have a lot of hair luckily). I am kinda allergic to paypal buttons, special at sims 2 sites, but this is for a good sake. I also like to cause butthurt. This phorum is loading slow, and i am not sitting on a slow connection. Can you do something about that? When you say Cheezeserver and Polyns, i guess i can type anything without beeing slaughtered for my stupid english language. |
