That is indeed the site, BlueBlood! Thanks, I'm bookmarking it this time  Smiley

Thank you for your kind words everyone! I have made recolours for all four standard hairtones now, and a version with a more plain cap. If I have time for playtesting tomorrow, I'll upload them to MTS2 for those who are interested  Smiley

tIIsuggas: I agree completely!  Grin Some Maxis textures are a bit bland but when you know which ones to use, it's very handy...

Saraswati: It's such a wonderful skintone, but I have no idea where I got it. The filename doesn't give me a clue either: AugustFinal something. But it's perfect for my regency ladies. The sim is born in my regency neighbourhood actually. Fanny Hart is her name  Wink

I can't find enough stuff for my historical 'hood (which is the only 'hood I've played for months now...) so I have to make it myself!

This is a hairstyle for children to elders (only blonde for now) which was a simple enough project for me (I've been working on a few female Regency hairstyles and failed miserably. No, you're NOT going to see them!  Tongue)

The hair textures are not the best. I might try again there... They're borrowed Maxis textures, because I find hair texturing very, very difficult  Embarrassed

Anyway:

I'd donate so she could hire a decent web designer  Shocked Holy crap - even I make better sites and I've been using the same teqnique since 1997!

Mmm, GeoCities...  Roll Eyes

That's a shame though - I'd loved to watch that fashion show!  Grin

Just out of curiousity.. did you do the Keith Richards Sim way back when? http://thesims2.ea.com/exchange/sim_detail.php?asset_id=214429 *looks up your simsite* Oh gawd, you did too.. This was one of my favourite character sims way back when, I loved the humour of it.
OMFG, my Keith! I didn't even know he was still on the Exchange  Cheesy I still remember when I made him (that would be three years ago); I didn't have the guts to upload him to MTS2 because I was afraid he wasn't up to their standards so it was the Exchange! Thank you for this precious moment!

Thank you Rebbie and Alia!

*Envies Dark Lunaris's skillz... Those sims are absolutely perfect! I too wish I was into the anime thing  Smiley

T: Beautiful details on the gown! The lacing looks awesome.

I started on these meshes ages ago. Finally finished them. There are four additional recolours for each mesh, I'll post more pictures if someone's interested Tongue

ETA: Oh, and these! Outerwear for teens (new mesh).

My regency 'hood is growning fast these days and I have to keep up so my sims doesn't have to wear the same old things. Teens and males are, as usual, rather neglected. Yeah, I'm a total junkie for this era.

I think he got his first pair of glasses, logged in to the site and went: "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!OMFG IT BURNS!!!" then never returned to his computer again. He might've burnt it. Or buried it. Who knows?

But srsly - if there's no more Carla Niven..?  Cry I can't imagine a world without him. I'm so making a memorial site if he doesn't return. Everyone will be welcome to submit their tributes to CN there, preferable in the form of horrid recolours and fugly models. I think he would've wanted it that way.

I think they are very nice, SimOtaku. Great casual wear!

Oooh, don't make me blush...  Embarrassed But, you know, first I was abducted by aliens, and when I finally returned to earth (not pregnant, thank God!), I was kidnapped by 30 KAOS agents..!

Would you believe... 10?

I uploaded them and they were approved within the hour!  Shocked

Linky thing

the mutton chops look great! And especially with that hairstyle! I've never seen it before. Where is it from? One of your own creations Baptain Berg?? Smiley
I have never heard the expression "mutton chops" before  Cheesy But the hairstyles are not by me (I'd wish...  Tongue), but by Hysterical Paroxysm and Dj_Mur3 (actually an abondoned EAxis OFB hairstyle. I used to have SimsConnection's version first, with CRAAAAZY animations! Does anyone else remember?)

SnarkyShark: I was actually going to upload them to MTS2 right now (2-3 glasses of cava seem to do wonders to my enthusiasm!) but the site is behaving very strange to me right now... The dropdown-menus doesn't seem to work, thus making it impossible to upload stuff. Is it only me?  Undecided

rome_raven: I always find it hard to create such subtle, natural details like folds and wrinkles, but I've found a couple of methods that I think works. I could by no means write a tutorial, but if you PM me maybe I could give you some hints...  Smiley (I use Photoshop)

ETA: For MOAR sideburns: check these Elvis -69 sideburns out! I have them, love them! Not IRL, thankfully, although every year seems to add even MOAR hair to my body...

Berg!  Shocked
I thought you had died, or something! Shame on you for not visiting us for so long!
I know  Embarrassed But I'm not really dead after all, rather undead! Full-time jobs (give me all your monies so I can quit! I hate working and I hate being an adult! It's not fun anymore!) turn you very much into a zombie, I reckon  Tongue Oh, I've PM'd you  Smiley

Love the Regency facial hair. Want!  Grin
I plan on uploading them to MTS2  Smiley But I am so terribly lazy ATM. Gooooood, clicking buttons, typing things - such chores! (No, really - I'm probably the laziest person on teh intarnets. Prove me wrong!)
45  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Aikea and Gelydh have their own site... on: 2008 April 14, 18:49:52
I really hope they stay free! I don't like the style of Aikea's stuff (and that's only a matter of personal taste - I think her skills are amazing!) but since so many others do, this is a great, great step in the right direction Grin
