241  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Carla Niven must be destroyed! on: 2006 December 01, 21:06:24
I wouldn't download, nor use, things from that site. But at least the creator knows his/hers limitations and offers the stuff for free, because she/he thinks making stuff and sharing it is fun. The thing that makes Carla Niven and GlamourSims such big, BIG jokes is that they make far-below-zero-quality CRAP and think it's worth money! Real money!

Not that I really needed to tell you that - that's what this thread - originally - was about, right..?

Also, I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, and am going to miss the premiere of Miss Carla's new fashion show!! My heart breaks!! Sad

Call it off! You simply Can't. Miss. The. Show!

I want to suggest it's very tight Lycra, with the pattern very cleverly and artfully modified so that it wouldn't appear distorted by the ultra thigh-stretch effect. And some of that double sided tape you can get, to hold your boobs in place if you're not wearing a bra. Also, magic.

Unless you didn't plan to wear something like that, of course. Then you must go.

Edited b/c of grammatical confusion

Well, certainly not "kids". This is China we're talking about, there can't be more than one.

But that's why she has to charge for her CC. She has more than one and is therefor blacklisted in all the Hello Kitty factories. Gotta feed the chillun somehow.

There are at least two persons "artistically" involved in Peggy Inc. - Peggy and Juice (I think. Correct me if I'm wrong).

But that's all I know! The site could be a Chinese child labour sweatshop run by the government to infiltrate the decadent Western world...

Know what..? I think it is!

I have to ask...how do those...whatever they ares, stay on her legs? They're neither pants, nor socks. They don't seem to have any means of staying in place. They look like they'd quickly fall down and trip you.

Magic? Shocked

Possibly, but make that black evil, EVIL magic!

Or shall we settle for that it's creator just recently discovered

*drumroll*

Who needs Carla Niven when you can satisfy all your tacky clothing needs at GLAMOUR SIM for only 10$ and mind you -t hose bucks give you a lifetime access to things like this:

and this:

AND THIS!

Too bad you won't live long enough to enjoy the subscription to its fullest since you somehow will find yourself choking to death in a very short time.

Thanks Bine for the tip!
247  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / We have a new paysite! on: 2006 November 25, 17:11:06

There so much free web host and free files host with unlimited bandwidth. There is no excuse for a new site to already asking for money. And I guess that they have just a few things to download.

That is true, especially if you're an unknown creator and just starting things up. Just look around and you'll find ad-free hosts with lots of space and bandwidth FOR FREE! It only takes a little, little patience...

NO EXCUSES!!!

Oh. the page finally loaded after only three tries! Yawn. I've seen it all before. The cloth area made me a little interested at first since I wondered what cloth for your sims would be like, but turned out to be clothing. Meh.

But this made me giggle:

We hope you love everything here, and hope you come to visit continually, we love to watch the hit counter bumping every second.

Go figure, every vistor has to reload the page three times to view it, moron!

My sympathies go out to the old Sim who got up in the middle of the show because he had to pee.

I consider him the lucky one.

It looks like it could get even worse:

What bugs/amuses me  - except for everything that has already been mentioned - is how the animations in her Fashion Show From Hell so not blend together:

The model walks her way to the end of the podium. Carla Niven decides to use some pose from Squinge's "Hula&More" hack. What happens? Model jumps -in about a nano second - to that position, stays like frozen  for a while, then jumps back to normal sim animation.

And it looks like shit.

UGLYUGLYUGLYSTUPIDCARLANIVEN!!!

Sorry, but that's how I feel about it...

700$ for that???!!!

But I guess there are doll persons and... non-doll persons.

I think about that when browsing the OOAK dolls section on ebay, which I do on occassion because I never cease to be amazed how much money people are willing to pay for... a dolly?

Someone is going to pay at least 1075$ for this and 1484$ for that... (that's about my monthly salary   )

...

Back into lurk mode.
