Those are nice houses. I'll definitely be downloading the first one. Smiley

Whenever I try to build mine like your first one everything ends up looking half-assed. Sad I suck at advanced building but I'm working on that.

13! 13! *throws a hissy fit*

If you don't agree with me I'll write about it on my LJ and have my cult go after you. *smirk*

This price hike is going to leave some people sore. Not the ones who aren't paying for their own subs (like kids who ask their parents) but the ones who are putting out the money.

I also hope alot of people who are subbing will realize that with the price hike, the quality is not going up.

I say may there be a mass exodus from TSR. It would make my day.

An aside about the 'three' thing - and I'm surprised I even have to say this, but no one else posting here seems to realize it:

The number three, triple goddesses, the trinity, etc. has been around since the dawn of humanity. We think in threes, comedy works in threes,  we have three blind mice, three little pigs, three fates, even The Third Man and "Three is a Magic Number".

The fact that some fantasy writers have been using it is absolutely nothing special. They're using what is natural for us, and is prolific throughout myth and fable.

Oh, and symbols to represent "the three" are almost as old as three itself.

That was what I was trying to convey but it didn't come out right. Three is a seemingly powerful number (I should know, I'm the oldest of three sisters...harhar).

Anyhow,  I support 13.

I forgot about the new overlay ones. I'm going to have to check that tutorial out also. It's a pain to have genetic tattoos, so thanks for the linkage to that. Smiley

^ Funny thing happened on the way to the bank today....that's actually how I learned how to make tattoos. She has a tutorial somewhere that tells you how to make tats. It's somewhere and I can't remember where the hell it is.
Nor do I fucking care to.

Apparently I fucking care (who knew?): The tat tutorial http://pics.livejournal.com/aikea_guinea/gallery/0003pc8d

Goodbye Sun- I feel you on that one definitely, dear. Smiley

Cheesy That's your work, Hec?

When I saw it on MTS2 I was like "Somebody must know I like myself some embrodiery!" hahaha...I love it!

Black Mars, I absolutely realise that it was not her directly, but anyone who allows their network of friends to act in such a flagrant thuggish manner (to anyone who oversteps the boundary they define), well you have to wonder why anyone would allow that if they did not want it to happen.

Her behaviour, although admittedly indirect, does not change that, yes, I do like some of her work, but it does mean I have no more tolerance for the cult mentality that follows her around.

And I count myself among the numerous hacks out there writing something that is very heavily influenced by other things, and only moderately original, but I suppose the difference is that I am grateful, pleased and humbled by the attention that I do get, and feel capable of speaking for myself if the need arises. Convoluted mess or not, attention from people you don't know, who have opinions and independent thoughts  comes as part of the choice to put your self out there or not.

I actually meant to put a question mark after I said "her cult snapped at you?" Which means I don't approve of that kind of behavior myself. That's why I like the fact that the beautiful_sims maintainer put that post up to show people how she really is. A lot of people who are part of her "cult" ignored it but I know I didn't. From that moment I was weary of her and especially Gelydh (who is apparently ten times worse). What makes it insane is that she hates other creators also and I heard this from a friend of mine.

A bitter little apple.

The only reason why I call it a convoluted mess is because one moment she wants everyone to go "wow" and then she wants to hide it.

I still don't see why anyone would want her sims in their game. If you look closely they aren't all that great and anyone can make a better clone. I guess because I prefer making mine and if someone asks me I'd gladly share.

Dispossessive wow, I knew she and her cronies can be a little possessive that is a bit on the extreme side. I have been snapped at by the LJ cult of Aikea a couple of times myself, and that was enough high maintenance experience for me. Seriously if she isn’t after the attention, or happy to see people enjoying and using her stuff, or willing to take a bit criticism now and again,  she shouldn’t bloody well put herself or her content out into the public realm.

Her "cult" snapped at you. I mean I like that story that she writes with her friend but not everything she does is fucking great. The funny thing about her is that she says she doesn't want the attention yet she does. It's a long twisted convoluted mess.

And Ry, I agree.

Voide, The Three has been around since god knows how long. I even have a version of The Three (or Triple Goddess as I call them) in my own story that I'm working on.

And yeah, she's heavily influenced by Neil Gaiman, but then again so am I.

And lastly, least we forget there is another person who writes DP also. She's nicer from what I hear though.

*squeals like a 5-year-old* Alice!

Sorry, I love the movie and the book.

And Redikolous, Sophie is very lovely. She'd give those fish lip, photo-realistic heifers that I see all over S2C a run for their money. I like sims that look like real people and don't have giant lips or bug eyes.

I'm sorely tempted to act irate in an comment on there about their price hike because they really don't need to since they're not really a business *sarcasm*

Bastards

Well, she's known for that kind of behavior apparently among those close to her. There was a link to an LJ post on the community beautiful_sims awhile back made by the maintainer that outlined every flaw that AG has pretty much. If I remember correctly the OP talked about how she's manipulative and bitchy. I didn't comment on the entry because I was like "Okay, whatever". But yeah, this girl got into it with her also apparently over a singer.

And then people wonder why I hate TSR so much.

That false sense of community pisses me off. I read the FAs' profiles and they all go on about how happy they are. About how TSR has given them so much advice and it's so friendly.

What a load of horse poo.

They have FAs that have no right being FAs but they are because they know someone or are going down on someone.

They make money off a community that has already put almost $300 dollars (and more if you count computer upgrades) into this game.

They smear the names of people who only want to help and they censor those who want honest discussion.

Their tactics make me sick to my stomach.

^ And wasn't she staunchly "paysites are the way of life!" before she vanished or whatever she did from TSR?

What a laugh.
