Okay, so those attentive will have seen me asking questions about alien colouration in Sharkbait. Here is what I did with the aliens I've been making - purple vs. green.  At the moment, green has my heart, as there is a nice rosy glow to the green, but I like the idea of purple aliens - except that they have a pink sheen.

These would not be the final release of the skins - I have more planned for them.   I just need feedback on the base colours at the moment, as I am undecided. I have also considered releasing both - but don't know about that either.

I want both! And can't you add just a touch, smidgeon really, of blue to get rid of the pinkish tinge that you don't care for? I don't create, I'm just remembering what I learned in art class about adding colours one to the other when painting... maybe a bit of black or gray? I don't know!! *bangs head on desk then goes back to Sharkbait to check on the newbie roast*

Aha! Another vote for both.  I'll try some new techniques to rid myself of the pink shine - see if I can selectively alter the colour or something.  *Don't give me photoshop tips I have not a photoshop. But green looks good right out of the gate - which is saying a lot for me, cause I don't like green.

I'm popping out of lurk to say I like both, and I'd definitely put the green in my game even without whatever super secret changes you're making, Calalily.And my 5 year old says she likes the purple one better.

I would download both skins Cala.  One question though, any way that you can make a little darker purple?  I know nothing about creating, but, would love to see a deeper shade of the purple if possible.

I'll look into darker - I'm just afraid to lose the definition - and end up with floodfill the long way round.   See what I can do, and post updates - see what everyone thinks. I think I'll definately go with both - but I think unless I can get the purple tiptop, I'll probably use the green myself.

You just have to do a bit of colour balance work, calalily.  What programme are you using?  I'm sure it'll have a colour balance option.  Photoshop is good because you can choose which tone range to alter.  You can pick highlights, shadows or midrange tones.  It's really good.

I'm making eye shadow, eyeliner, blush and extras (beauty spots, face art) to go with it.  All hand painted, of course.  I wanted a nice old-school gothic make-up, with possibilities for punk application.

Wow those are awesome!  You are wonderful at hand painting, something I truly envy, because whenever I try hand painting it ends up looking like a toddler on crack got a hold of a box of markers.  :?   (well maybe not that bad, but not 'real' or even sim 'real')

I really like the 2 reds, if you feel like it I would love a purple in the same tone as the upper left red and a white/grey/silver type of one (for the center color).  If not don't worry I love what colors you have already.
