Isn't there a thread here talking bout these two trolls? If i recall there's a chat transcript that was send to us by an infiltrated pirate or something after their attack. Zhaltanna the female troll was basically saying in cat talk that she inscribed here and that she was so sad because the pirates were so big meanies to her!  And another (supposedly troll EzyBreezy) proposed her revenge: to come here to troll us.

They managed to flood the forum and nearly destroyed it. Pes was so pissed off that these two were banned.

I read long time ago on a sims 2 site that if you have a weak computer you have to be careful with chairs. A chair is slightly different than a decoration item, as it'll increase involuntarily the total polys in a lot. Simply because you don't put a single lonely chair, you'll put 4 or 6 chairs so that makes 800x4 or 800x6. So a total of 3200 polys added to the lot (or 4800 if you put 6 chairs in the lot).

When i think about that i'm a bit sceptic as Maxis'chairs must have more polys, no?

I was already reading the forum at that time and read it all - except the chat of course - , saw Bluesoup falling apart in few hours, deleting her own small forum elsewhere, then going completely nut here because of pes' thread asking her to give out all the booty access and all the pay accounts details so others could take over. They wanted to take over because the booty was updated once a month with merely a dozen of files - and no files from the sites she liked (ATS2, Holy Simoly,... )

It went into a huge fight, blue saying 'no way I'll do it... when i can!". She understood there was no way out, at least not the way she intended and... Explosed (huge drama explosion!), really blowing up the forum with her. The forum was offline for long hours but Pes' managed to retrieve a copy on the server (missing lots of stuff as it was few hours old) and kept all these infos open so noone could forget. Bluesoup could have given out the booty, but never did. She chose to blow up PMBD.

So all praise Pescado and Hecubus, they saved the booty and this forum

And updating when you have a set number of uploading files? That would make an update every couple of weeks. When you have like 20 or 40 files you upload them and off you run away

Maybe splitting the downloads from SFV would help. No threads, no links and no pics for the downloads would make a big relief for the forum part. Every item had 1 page, 1 pic (at least), several links leading to the page and one for the download; plus a gazillion of PMs exchanged for each item when there was no download link (approx. 1/10th of the pages). No wonder it bloated. Splitting SFV in 2 is mayber a better solution. Files here, forum in it's own place where you want it to be.

Why keeping it seperate from PMBD? Pescado would love to have more hostage files to piss off paysites or kiss-my-ass-to-get-my-file-sites. Why are you so persuaded that the forum part would die without the download part?

Yes, that's how they work, chemistrycourtney, it didn't change at all. Even without a paying sub you just add kudos for years - as they keep raising the 'prices' in the exchange feature - and you'll exchange them for a free download spree day (managing to avoid weekends because of the lag ^^). It never changed, only the prices for the exchange rate changed.

You get kudos for basically eveything, logging in, commenting a pic, thanking for an item, uploading a pic etc... But the number of kudos gained everyday from all these ways is limited. Can't remember, maybe 50 kudos maximum per day for thanking for an item for exemple. Peggy with her fidelity points didn't invent anything

Well they had all the missing booy files that you can't request here because you get tramped on whenever you ask for something
And a lot of recolors/retextures/repaired gap. And a nice tchat community. Also files from sites with broken links etc...
