1  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Juice Newsea Becomes a Paysite on: 2009 April 18, 00:12:57
Grrr, this isn't GOS. Here pay = suck

Stop the gushing, we don't give them free press.

We're a free site, so why are you ragging on us? By all means have a go at someone for breaking the rules of this site but for the love of God, leave the moaning about how another site works out of it okay?

Funny how this post was glossed over. Because Anyerfillag's got a point. Your FAQ says no bitching about free sites, GoS is a free site. Does this GoS bashing have to do anything with Nouk departing from there?

I do not see redisenchanted's post as ragging on GoS at all.  All they are really pointing out is that while on GoS it is alright to praise a paysites work, it is generally looked down upon here.

Not really directed at anybody at all, but why is everybody all of a sudden popping up out of nowhere and getting butthurt over the stupidest, smallest things? (Such as above post)  I thought the statement here was butthurt to the paysites!  Not pick apart every little post and get your feelings hurt because somebody is pointing out this site is different than another in it's mindset and goals.

Edit: Because iamawake beat me to it.  Also to say that the mapping on the hair is atrocious.  I don't even mesh or recolor and I can see it would be a pain.

Edit again because I forgot to give out some rum.  Wink

All I can see while reading through that was "BAHHHH! DEY MEANIES! MAEK EM STOP!"

So many contradictions, misspellings, and lies.

Also, I am sure many of us were against paysites and didn't need Pes to 'brainwash' us, as they so believe.  I hated paysites before I found this place, and ended up finding this place.  Not because I do not wish to pay for their items and want them for free (Because even if they were free, they would NOT find a place in my game, too icky) but because it is illegal to sell the content, and theft.

The second one looks more like a bathing suit one piece to me, rather than undies... I don't know about you guys, but that would be incredibly uncomfortable to me.

All the girls look like they have been bathing in oil.  Ewww.

Hang on a second. DOT is comparing a supposedly "fake" screencap with the "real" one and still the TEXT (in case you don't understand, DOT, what's actually written in there) is exactly the same? What is she trying to prove exactly?

"Hey the caps in Coconut's blog are totally doctored! See, I have the real one, still as incriminating as ever, but with no pink stuff!"

Lol, I noticed that too!
I do not believe they thought this one through....

My goodness, SimSecret going to blow up this Friday.

Anywho, nothing has changed in the EULA, and everything is basically the same, so why are all these people freaking out and wishing people harm?  It's disgusting, and makes me wonder how some pixels on some game has made people stoop so low as to wish cancer on somebody (BBB) or try to use somebodies illness for gain (Thomass).  Doesn't BBB have a terminal illness, anyways? (I believe I have read that before)  Why wish something so terrible on somebody, if you are supposedly going through it yourself, or something similar?  Ugh.

Aww man, I was doing so, so, so well on not downloading anymore, until I saw this topic.
Now...
Well, let's just hope my computer still loves me after this.
My favorite part of downloading sprees for my sims, is it's just like me going on a shopping spree, but for free  Grin In fact, I do believe my sims have nicer things than I could ever hope to have!

Wow.  Just wow.
How could a game go from something fun to play, to exploiting dead people in real life?

I am disgusted with Tom, TSR and their FA's, and all that bullshit.  If it wasn't for Coconut, we would probably never know how fucked up everything is over there.

Yikes, it does look like she is bald in the back.
No matter how many times she clicked the 'sharpen' button in photoshop, it can never make that hair look good.

Theft protection with a max liability of $50 is the rule rather than the exception in the US. My parents had a card stolen and $13k charged at Home Depot. They were only liable for $50.

Home Depot? The criminals were redecorating their bathroom, or adding a deck to their house? I should probably not be amused by this.

When I worked retail, people used to get mad at me because I asked for photo ID when they used a credit card. So dumb.

I get paranoid when they DON'T ID me when I use mine.  What if it was somebody else with my card buying all that stuff?

The first thing I thought when I saw all those names was identity theft alert.  Imagine, buy some simmy clothes, an suddenly six John Smith's pop up and you are blamed for everything they do.  Just for sharing some Sims files. (And most likely, not doing ANYTHING, seeing as TSR doesn't care either way)
10  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Jassims.com, a new paysite? on: 2008 November 05, 17:31:17
I seem to notice that a lot of paysite owners tend to hide behind the language barrier excuse whenever confronted.

What is this, though, their way of fighting the paysite vs freesite debate?
Steal freestuff, put it up on their sites for sale, without credit whatsoever?

And they say what we do is wrong?
Everything here was paid for, and has the credit given to the correct person/site.

I'm disgusted.  When you think they can't get any lower, Thoma$$ buys dynamite.
11  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Paysite Macros on: 2008 October 29, 01:58:23
What is Jirka talking about?! Their entire blog made no sense, whatsoever.

They say one thing, then contradict themselves a sentence later, while still not making sense?

Heehee, I love the macro!
12  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: TSR Sharing your infomation! on: 2008 October 28, 02:08:23
Zillah, that is amazing.  I can see the shit hitting the fan over there when they realize what you have done.
The Kudos spotlight... clever, clever  Grin
I hope that can help get the word out farther... everytime I think about how, back in the day, I almost begged my mom to get me a sub (gotta love your computers with terrible graphics cards!)... and how my info could be passed around without me even knowing... it scares me.
