Yeah Feverish, you didn't know? I'm sure there were large volumes of alcohol involved in that union. Maybe even passing of cattle.    Or turtles?

Bigtruckgirl is right. Here in the US they still have to claim it. Somehow. And no employer over here will give a rat's ass if they worked for TSR. They'll be like, "Who the fuck is TSR? And what the fuck are sims?"

Unfortunately I haven't been able to track down FA info similar to the SA stuff I found. I don't think Thomas has been as "open" with their "rules".

I do think they can upload other places. Some do to MTS2 and some have their own sites like NeptuneSuzy.

I have some FA friends, I suppose I could pick their brains. I wonder if each FA enters into a different contract with TSR.

There is a contract but I'm not sure of exact details. There is a quota they have to shoot for. Regular, steady submissions are a must. I think FAs have more rules to follow than SAs.

I'll have to see if I can dig up the info Thomas posted at one time.

Edit: Here's something on SAs.

What's even funnier about that interview is it's a repeat. Yep. I don't remember which newsletter it was in before. It's been awhile, but it's a repeat. spladoum is female I believe. She's a mod in the forums.

Last month's interview was... ssshhh... Atwa.

You know it will happen.

I believe elmazz is two girls, either sisters or friends. It says in their TSR profile. I think one does certain stuff and the other takes the rest and between them both they cover some CC real estate.

Here is their "About We" at TSR.

About Me: We are 2 girls from Sweden, Sandra & Funda, and we love creating for the Sims 2. We don't play the game it self anymore, but get our kick from creating instead. We still try to make creations we
ourselves would have liked to use if we played the game, and in real life too for that matter. So for example, all the cosmetics are actually things we have (or would like to have) in real life. We love beautiful things, so you can expect almost anything from us. Not even we know what kind of
things we'll create in the future. But as we create, we learn new things, and that effects our style and our ideas. So we hope that you, like we, welcome changes. Happy simming! //Sandra & Funda

Aw, you like my stuff? I'll take a hug.

I've got more lots to come. I don't really want to toss any more in TSR's direction but I'll see how long it takes the hubby to get my site up. I guess I'm not really driving business to TSR and all my stuff is free over there because I'm a lowly artist of unmentionable status.

MsBarrows was retired but has returned as an SA. Something must have happened there.

Well... right now you can get some here: http://www.thesimsresource.com/profiles/view.php?mid=497661 Um, yeah, don't look too hard at that address. And, that's going to give you my other identity. So, if you look for that name at other sites you'll find me. This one is my secret identity.

I should have my own site up soon. I finished the design and turned it over to my husband last night. Now he has to do the techie stuff. I plan to put everything I do up on there. I'll let folks know when it's live.

One of the requirements is regular and steady submissions. At least, that's what Thomas wrote in a thread he made about how FAs become FAs. It was clear as mud but I do remember the steady stream of "good quality" items a plus for getting your foot in the door.

Yeah, it is pretty squishy over at TSR when trying to draw a line between first-rate and second-rate. It was a little cleaner cut before Thomas started promoting anyone just so more stuff would be pay only. I think it's really sad he's gotten so desperate that he's pulling people with icky stuff into the FA pool. To me, having 5 really good FAs and maybe a couple ones that could improve is good. So much trash has been added now that it's hard to see the gems under all that crap. And now there's so much nobody would want to pay for. It drags down the rep of the good FAs.

Jeez, you guys would love what I do then. I always only use Maxis stuff in my lots I share. That just keeps it simple. I usually go through the effort of furnishing them totally because I enjoy doing that but I know a lot of folks hate it with a passion. My houses are all two stories or less and on no larger a lot than a 3x4/4x3 but usually I stop at 3x3. That's the biggest I'll go.

Macs don't handle anything large well. Anything Maxis does, I pretty much have to bulldoze and replace with mine. I usually make my community lots on 2x2s to keep the lag down. Also, Macs don't like building cheats, like CFE, 45 degree angles, and objects not snapped to grid. Those just pull the system down when trying to play a house. As soon as you jettison or correct that stuff the computer is happy again.

You can easily have 8 sims plus pets living on my lots without being overcrowded. Well, the larger ones, but still not exceeding 3x3. So I'm used to playing under these restrictions now but I get around to sites and look at the real estate and just wonder, what the heck would a sim do with that huge of a house and that much land? Really, you don't need to use the 5x5 or 5x6 for living. I'd only use a lot that big if I was building a lot for decoration only to fill up some space around town. I'd never attempt to play it. I mean, I don't like lots where it takes the sim an hour to traverse to the bathroom or half a day to make the trip to the mailbox and back.

One leads to another. I like Simaddict's stuff too. But, I'd lose my enthusiasm too if suddenly the second-raters were promoted to a level you tried really hard to get to. God, that's got to make you feel like shit. Actually, it does. I've been there at work. It's hard to scrape yourself off the floor and put your heart into it again.
