121  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / How much do we know about Pescado? on: 2006 December 08, 16:17:16
Liking animals and hating kids aren't exactly unique traits. I echo those likes and dislikes.

Now, as for unique traits... let's see... say Pescado, you don't happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
122  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Glasses on: 2006 December 08, 01:10:22
I've made a few glasses. They're up on TSR. I even made a pair that resemble my RL pair. I couldn't do anything about the glass shape.

I agree though, and I suppose only people that wear glasses would notice the lack of eyewear for our sims. Most of what I see on TSR is U-G-L-Y. If that is supposed to be chic, posh, and cool, um... OK. Whatever they're drinkin' I don't want any.
123  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Sims2 Sisters? on: 2006 November 28, 17:50:39
  That reminds me of a nasty post I found over at TSR one time. The little twerp posted a link and it was a porn link but stated it was a sim of course. Being the responsible adult I am, I was suspicious so I clicked on it to see what no good they were up to. Indeed no good! My computer started screaming "I'm looking at gay porn!" and all these nasty, nasty, NASTY images were popping up all over the place.

I actually about died laughing and then I thought, oh yeah, kids are on TSR. I better report that to the mods. I did and it was gone instantaneously and I got a thank you PM. I really thought it was funny someone put that up on TSR and got away with it for a little bit, until I played Mom and reported it.   I don't have much love for TSR anymore.

Well the person who started the thread is registered as a 12 year old. You know, ten plus four equals 12.

  Yeah, and you know, that makes them legal age to be a pain in the ass online. Somebody parental control their computers!

My son is 12 and he types like a normal, intelligent human being. Mavis Beacon taught him because the school wouldn't.  Tongue

Shit, I think I'm already there.

I feel left out, no-one I know has any embarrassing or hilarious nicknames...Sad

  Make some up for them.

Let's see, my Mom is known as "Cookie" from her side of the family and "Hank" from my Dad's side of the family. You don't want to know what her real name is. My Dad was called "Butch" by an uncle when he was growing up but his name isn't even close to anything "butchy".

My Dad always called me "Peanut". I'm the baby.  Cheesy  For some reason I earned the nickname "Fiz" in high school. Lord knows where that came from. I never got it.

I have an uncle that calls my son "Kody Koyote". I could think of worse things so I'll settle for that.

My sister calls her father-in-law "Cornball" but his whole family calls him that, but... he is a cornball.

My father-in-law slapped "Toad" on my husband when he was younger. And other members of the family called him "E". So imaginative. I tell ya.

I call a co-worker BMW for bitch, moan, and whine because that's all he does. Another one we just dubbed Tank because he ran out of gas on his way to work recently. Had to walk 2 miles to a gas station because he was too embarassed to ask for help or call his wife.

And the list goes on...

Oh, and I'd take Swabby or Poopy any day.  Tongue

Anybody up for Spanglish?    How 'bout the language of love, French. German? I know, I know! Inuit!
128  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / We have a new paysite! on: 2006 November 27, 20:55:19
I just tried this and it says "this site is parked" courtesy of GoDaddy.com.    Parked? How 'bout we see a full throttle reverse!

I'm sure it has that "game" factor like rabbit and deer. Too chewy and tough or just right. Mmmm, mmm, lamby chops.

You know, I'd have to say the 10 year olds I come across on TSR are in Europe now that I think about it. I usually ask if their mother knows they're on posting rubbish.

Here in the states we fall under T for Teen, but that doesn't stop 7 year olds from horsing around in imaginary land.

The least they could do is learn to type so their posts don't make my eyes bleed and my head hurt.  Tongue

I have to agree with whoever said "actions speak louder than words". Indeed.

Anyone in the mood for lamb chops?
131  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Sims2 Sisters? on: 2006 November 27, 17:36:22
Yeah, I got some stuff from them once and it was garbage for my mac. The virus/trojan couldn't run on my mac but the files were still a problem. They totally killed performance in the game. It's like something was trying to run behind the scenes and sucking all my RAM. I deleted their files since my game was fine before I installed their stuff and everything was fine again. I never returned.

I'm not real happy to see them at TSR now, and as an FA to boot. Thankfully I really don't care for their stuff so I'm not too concerned. I just hate to see them litter up TSR even more. I hope they left their viruses and trojans at home. Wouldn't that be something if they infected all of the TSR membership? The world may come to a complete halt.

Well now, that was a good read. Do I really have to keep reading bad posts from 9 year olds? Lord, learn to type and spell and punctuate.

And yes, if they are 9 this game is not for them. I am surprised at the amount of 10 years olds I come across at TSR, posting whatever nonsense they wish. I've got a few on my ignore list because it's so aggravating.

Someone said it in that thread, I don't care to go look who said it, but it was said that perhaps Maxis changed the mesh inclusion thing with Body Shop because they feel this stuff should be for free.

I found it funny though that the poster is so honked off about it. I don't think JM has to worry about that particular sheep. What do they say? Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups?
133  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Interesting post on Sim2.com on: 2006 November 18, 23:19:31
EA is enjoying the show. What happens when a parent states "You're BOTH my favorite!"? The kids take care of it, the decision is theirs. EA is waiting for the kids to get serious. Staying neutral is safe. There's the paysite side, the anti-paysite side, and the EA side.  Tongue

I really think creators that are so huffy about their stuff and get honked off so easily need to get a real job and learn how to enjoy a hobby for what it is supposed to be... fun.

Hey, Ryu Hayabusa has a point, "Life is difficult if your soul is imperfect." You're doing something wrong, it's only going to get harder. As long as there is an ounce of good left in this world the bad will never win. Thus, the eternal struggle.

I got y'all misty eyed didn't I? I know, shut up. I'll go read a book.
