I like this idea. Playing Hunt the Mesh (pay or not) has always really annoyed me.

Especially when a link is only given to the front page of a (messy/large) site and then it's headscratching time as to where to look. (been through that a couple of times in the last couple of days alone.)

As a 30+ year old woman I would like to say that I don't fit with that demographic.

You'll probably find that a minority of ANY agegroup will act like complete asswipes.

(And the only place I approach Harry Potter fandom is from reading the fallout on Fandom Wank - I am awaiting the wanksplosion that will accompany Book 7 with bated breath.)

IMO I don't think that free sites should allow recolours of pay meshes.

But that's just my opinion.

I am going to do something that I don't do very often... speak up.

Zatanna, I'm afraid your posts were annoying the hell outta me too and I was wondering why no-one was calling you on it.

Actually, I had noticed that the spamminess was spreading exponentially despite the Random Spam thread, and I don't blame Blue in the slightest for deleting. (although it is a shame that some quality posts were lost)

As Red says, I'm sure we can all put the last couple of days behind us. Maybe it won't get so spammy now everyone has had a wake up call.

Shame about the Carla Niven and Dramawhores threads though.

I used to pretty much ignore paysites, apart from possibly getting a little peeved if a nice looking free recolor somewhere was linked to a pay mesh.

What really changed my mind about paysites was the information sharing scandal. Plus the whiny hissy fits that some of the creators had both horrified and amused me. Such a lack of professionalism on their part.

I also have to say, I took some of the booty and found that it wasn't all that...  There is just as good, if not better free stuff available if you are willing to dig for it.

And now I'm just rambling so I'll call it quits here.
