Her avatar is simply too cute for me to be mad at her...

Heh, her avatar is actually the reason for it was so easy for me

Now seriously. Bunny hun, since you obviously don't speak English your chances of getting the point of this thread, of this site and of the whole EULA issue are close to zero, but in 2007 that is really just a pathetic excuse. For chrissake the entire world speaks English, why don't you wake up and get some lessons instead of spending your time illegally charging people with your Sims recolors (yes, they are crappy, but things would be identical if they were great). Mind you, I am Italian, I live in Italy, I never lived anywhere else and I never pretended to be anything else, so yes I do feel especially free to talk to you like this. If you want to open whatever site and make it a good one that possibly won't break any international law that you don't yet know about, I think you should first put yourself in a position where you are able to grab all the necessary informations, otherwise go find yourself another hobby. Or just live with the fact that people like us are going to harshly tell you that you suck for selling copyright protected material, which is a fact no matter what excuse you may come up with. Wake up!

Mateys, remind me to smack myself in the head should I ever question my tendency to believe the creepiest interpretation of facts and feel guilty about it, arr?

maybe she doesn't mean country in a farmish kind of way, maybe she means it like "the country of italy"? or something.

That would be pretty retarded of her. So yeah, very likely.

Go, Marhis! And I can always back you up

I find it disturbing to think that no matter how obviously horrible that stuff is, someone, somewhere, is looking at that site thinking OMG I totally must have that!! That, to me, is the ultimate riddle. The one that never ceases to weird me out.

I don't know why one would bother asking for over $2000 without explaining anything.  THAT really bothers me.

That bothers me too. I've posted a question on the UniversalSims homepage with this precise thing in mind: "Frequent updates not only of the money raised, but also and especially of how the problem is developing as far as responsabilites, would be welcome. I still see no valid proof that you are legally responsible. Why do you?"

I mean, you are asking for money dude. You should be spending entire days explaining why in detail, and I'm talking even the really tiny appearently less significant detail and beyond, for chrissake.

Edit: BTW, I was weirded out to find I did register there, and appearently on December 2006. It was easy to find out as before registering here I've been using just the same nick since ages, but I honestly still don't remember ever even seeing the site...guess Pescado might be 66 but I'm at least 80 as far as memory    Either that or I have a split personality
99  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Universal Sims... on: 2007 April 04, 19:20:50
Heh, I think Pescado said 66 just because he's notoriously fond of the number 6, and seeing as 666 would have been clearly unlikely and anyway too mainstream, 66 is the age he picked

Back on topic: I am now convinced that Nathan is definitely not underaged. I am also more and more convinced that people really are stupid: this person has managed to gather $463.50 USD so far, yes it's far from what he says he needs, still considering the shadiness of the whole thing, I will never understand people even donating a single cent

Nathan's latest post at N99

Mmm. This doesn't sound right, at all. I too was starting to think Nathan might be involved in the scam, but this post, if what he wrote is true (and I don't see why it shouldn't) truly makes Delphy look like a very shady person up to some very shady manoeuvers. I'm starting to be really disappointed, and I wish someone could do something...I'd hate for this thing to just disappear with no answers nor explanations.
101  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Universal Sims... on: 2007 March 30, 22:49:33
Oh. I didn't know anything about Delphy's past similar movements, and I had a general, if sort of distracted, opinion he was a good guy. Now, not so much anymore, not at all. I can't say I'm surprised about the way things seem to be developing though. Guess I'm jaded.

And, twistedly, sort of amused at all this. What an entertaining community indeed

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out *waves*  Cheesy
103  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / New paysite threatening to open on: 2007 March 28, 22:13:41
Aw, paranoia...bad, bad thing.

One thing really bugs me though, I can't for the life of me understand why certain people want to sign up here when they are so obviously not inspired by the only big inspiration behing this site. It's like willingly and consciously jumping into the lions cage and then complain about the bites and bruises (and the occasional slaughter). Crybaby.

I got the email too, though I would have never found out had I not checked this thread. I got curious and went checking and hey, there it was in the spam bin. Like most of you I don't remember ever even visiting that site. I'm only a member at MTS2, InSim and MATW, so I guess it's becoming obvious where they got all the addresses...

I'd really appreciate it if we could keep the fucking smacktalk to the paysite owners.  The ones that do decent free work should be allowed to take a break once in a while ya know?

Yes, absolutely. People come on, how about focusing on the target? We're still at the beginning of this "war" against paysites, and things like liegen's arrogance against a free creator aren't particularly helping, IMO. Honestly, I fail to see how sharing HP's meshes no-matter-what or mocking her TOU or now criticizing her because she took whatever break without expressing herself in the way she should have etc etc could bring anything positive and good in our fight againt paysites owners

missangelica, I think that question could be asked over and over again since the answer still makes so little sense to some of us  (Oh, and I think it was meant as the downloaders' laziness rather than liegen's laziness  )
