This was fascinating, like the need to check out a wreck as you pass by.  Now she's just getting, I don't know, redundant.  Is that the right word?

Misspelling such an easy name as trollster when she was upset for example.

Right, because you've never had a typo in your life right?  Because I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I never made typos.  There's a major difference between spelling like a 1st grader just learning to read and making the occassional typo.

As for being an enabler, if I'm not mistaken, I believe she has said something to the effect that she tried to stick with Jan for quite some time, but finally got tired of helping her.  Trying to assist her didn't work, trying to intervene for her didn't work, and being nice to her sure as hell didn't work.  So finally, she came out of the closet and told who she was.  With a personality like Jan's, that would be the end of any help she'd even want from her anyway!  She'd see that as being stabbed in the back - and you know Jan's read everything that's posted here.

You're entitled to your own opinion, of course.  But I prefer to leave the conspiracy theories rest in Jan's poor warped mind.

And this taralynn person kicks ass:

Actually, I know taralynn from a fanfic website she used to write for.  She's been signing up each time Jan reopens a group and quietly reading the messages, and she said that she was unable to keep her mouth shut this time.  Tara thinks drama belongs on the stage, screen, or pages of a story.  I don't think she actually downloads from Jan, she was just trying to tell her "like it is" nicely.

Anyway, that's besides the point.  Jan obviously banned her the minute she saw that pretty little note Tara left.  Tara felt the need to reply to her,  and emailed her at her comcast mailbox.  Jan actually replied back, and Tara forwarded it to me.  It was short, sweet and to the point.  She got quite a laugh out of it.   I thought I'd share it - Tara said it was ok with her.   As Tara pointed out to me, at least the curse words were spelled correctly.

Fuck you MALOL who cares what you think , you are no one that even matters . Got it Bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  LOL bye bye now bitch and fuck you.

Kendra

I just thought I'd share it because I found it interesting that even though the email came from jan's addy, she signed it Kendra.  How on earth does she come up with all those personas?  Seriously, I'd never be able to keep up with who I was from one place to the next.

After reading all that I am speechless.  Good thing I'm quiet most of the time because....wow....  How can 1 person cause that much trouble for so long and still not be getting any help?  It's just...mind boggling.  Perhaps she doesn't have any family to force her to get help?  Mine would have already carted me off to be evaluated at a mental health center.

I find it interesting that she blew such a fuse when the mistake of posting her personal information was made here and yet on page two there was a comment from someone she harrassed where she had posted their phone number on the web.  Doesn't understand the meaning of karma, does  she?

if she can get hold of them, that is

Of course she can get ahold of the pay meshes!  They are here for her to grab, at any time - all for free!  She's obviously reading here, so she knows where to get them, because if there was a real husband reading here for her, he'd either keep his mouth shut about what was said so as to keep her calm, or tell everyone off here in her defense.  Besides, what man would have put up with her for this long?

Yes, she's definitely unbalanced, but I also think she thrives on drama.  Seriously needs it.  Her group has been quite for several days - just the usual banter back and forth between several names, including Jan.  She probably noticed her thread here had grown bored with her, derailing onto the topic of HP fanfic, and threw that little tantrum to get attention back on her.

Why MTS2 never holds sets hostage?
The question on it's own is hilarious. You can't take something hostage that belongs to you. If i make a set i think i am entitle to choose which persons i want to share it with.

Shino mentions that MTS2 never hold sets hostage because you can't take hostage something that belongs to you.  Well, no of course they don't.  MTS2 recognizes that the sets posted at their site belong to the creators and the community they were created for.  That's the whole point - not only does TSR hold sets "hostage" but asking for money before you can access what they consider to be the "best" downloads, but they're well known for refusing to take down items when a creator leaves.  They are under the impression that once an object is uploaded, it now belongs to TSR.    You can't even begin to compare the attitudes of the two sites when it comes to custom content - they are at opposite ends of the spectrum.  And, I've got a feeling you understand this perfectly despite your arguments.

As for being entitled to share your creations with just the persons you wish to share it with - you've got a point.  You do have the right to share with who you wish.  When I bake a batch of cookies, I pass them out to my friends, family, or students.  I CHOOSE who to give them too - in real life.  When I write a fanfiction story on the other hand, and post it on the internet, I understand that I am choosing to share this with ANYONE in the world who has access to it.  And I'm well aware that I may run across it somewhere other than where I posted it - whether I want it there or not.  Because when you post something online, you've just shared it with everyone  - regardless of whatever obstacles you put in place to prevent that.  That's the nature of the online communitites that have developed thanks to the internet.

I got the letter also today and found myself reading it several times - wondering "what set her off this time?"  Perhaps she didn't like it that responses on her thread here had died down and she felt the need - as any decent drama queen would - to stir shit up and get "her" thread back near the top of the board.

I read the part about some of them claiming to be teachers and sociologists and her not wanting them to teach her children and I laughed so hard!  I'm one of those claiming to be a teacher.  Must be doing something right too since I've received Teacher of the Year twice in 8 years - once from my district and once from Walmart.  And just today our team was meeting to go over class lists for this fall - and groaning over who got the kids whose parents are known as the community nuts.  You have to feel so sorry for those kids - no teacher ever really wants them - and not because they are bad kids - but because their parents are crazy and you'll never get anywhere with them when trying to deal with them.

As for being low-class, that's only a slur if you look at it that way.  Too me, it means that I don't spend a lot of money on fancy things, or don't live in a fancy house, and don't drive a fancy car.  Maybe, just maybe I wear my shorts a little too short in the summer when school's out, or prefer an evening hanging out in the yard having a beer and barbequing to a day at a high end expensive mall, shopping for clothes I'd be uncomfortable in.  Class is just a matter of perspective.  If it bothered me to be considered low-class by some people, then my favorite song wouldn't be "Redneck Woman".

She also sent a second letter out today - one that I reported to yahoo myself as abuse.  This one was very short.  It gave out the email address (not a free one either, but one from a service provider) of the last person to subscribe to her site, and called the person a thief in it.  Now, while it's not quite as much info that was accidentally posted briefly here, how is that different from what was done to her.  It would be at this point in my classroom that I'd be explaining to the child in question that "since you retaliated in the same manner you felt you'd been treated by so-and-so, I guess I either have to punish you both, or turn you both loose and do nothing to either of you for your poor behavior."

let's let this dead horse rest in peace
agreed!

Dead horse (or should that be dead thread?) yes, but dead site, no.  Got an email from my niece today that  mainstsims is back online, complete with its donation button.  Checked it out and sure enough, there it was.

I have a friend who has a low level, paper pushing job with one of  homeland security's offices out of Missouri and he got a kick out of the whole "my husband's with the government" thing.  He said if he had a nickel for everytime he's seen someone post that kind of threat on the the internet he'd be a rich man and could retire early!   And what's the point of making threats like that anyway?  Where I live, most people speak of the "government" with either disdain or humor (making fun of it) - never wth fear.

As for her banning fit, she's went and banned anyone that has joined recently.  My niece joined after she read the discussion on the board (and she's never registered at pmbd) and she said she made it in for 1 day before getting tossed.  And today, she's back to not letting anyone join.  Oh well, her loss.  I kind of feel sorry for anyone that is that paranoid.  How do you enjoy life when your afraid that everyone is out to get you?

Wherever she's from - she has mood swings that sure beat mine even on my worst day of PMS.  I tried several times to join refined sims over the past two days out of curiousity - only to be denied each time.  Today, not only has the "tell me about yourself" box vanished on the registration page - but it automatically approved both of my online identities - the one I use strictly for fanfiction, and the one I use everywhere else.  The welcome letter has me itching for my red grading pen - my poor little fifth graders wouldn't DARE turn in an assignment to me with THAT many grammatical & spelling errors - they'd be too afraid of being kept in at recess to fix it!

The fact that Mikey from M&M told you to "deal with it like a big person" makes me laugh.  Back in the Sims 1 days, someone put up a yahoo adults sims groups and shared his animations in the files.  His attempt at getting them to remove the files consisted of verbal attacks in messages posted to the group; followed by filling up the rest of the file space on the Yahoo group with .jpg images of random pictures, all signed with his name in capital letters followed by a series of exclamation points - or the name Redneck Klingon, also in all caps.  Nice to see he's grown up over the years.

You could just email her back and thank her very sweetly for her time - then thank her for the heads up on the pirates.  Say something to the effect that you appreciate her help and you'll see if you can find one of those pirates that would be willing to pass it on to you.  You could even ask her if by chance she knows where you can find the pirates that she spoke of.
