76  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / How much do we know about Peggy? on: 2006 December 03, 19:39:21
You know she can be anything from 20 to 30 years old. I'm serious about it, an aquaintance of mine married a Chinese woman and I got to meet her. I was 14 at the time and she looked exactly my age, only that she was in her mid 20s. I was stunned when I found out, and so was she because she had thought I was her age.
77  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Artists that won't let you share drive me crazy! on: 2006 November 30, 19:00:26
It's cool, a lot of people here are incognito, I just don't care  Smiley

I thought it sounded familiar, and well all I can say is, try finding another place to upload the sim...because in my case its been weeks and no answer to my polite request to upload my items. I too am for giving credit where credit is due, and since I MADE those outfits, and did NOT include the mesh, and unless I get a direct notice to take them down (although they should appreciate the effort of asking for permission in the first place) I think I'm entitled to share my work wherever I want...and I think it's just common sense.
78  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / "donations" on: 2006 November 30, 18:31:00
Yep, most VTM vamps hate fire like the bubonic plague...

I would be a Tzimisce, Vicissitude sounds like a cool power to have. Then I could play Sims with real people...

Gotta love them Malkavians... Cool

I guess I'm un-redeemable then

I think we came across the same person, Mat.    Those TOS sound strangely familiar, so does the lack of answer to good natured people who do ask for permission...heh

But I uploaded the recolors I made of the guy/girl/thing's meshes anyway...and since I did my best to provide credit etc I see nothing wrong with it.
81  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Anyone seen this yet? on: 2006 November 24, 17:37:42
I admit, I posted mine up Tongue I'm not particularly paranoid about a headshot and my real first name being posted really...I doubt anyone's gonna come to my front door waving a chainsaw afterwards
82  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / 25 cents Per Print. on: 2006 November 20, 14:25:24
Apart from the fact that thre are no items in MOST categories and those that have them are just badly done recolors of maxis meshes (yup no new meshes that I could see), the descriptions of these undies cracked me up: You may be inspired to save lives wearing this bikini. Silver metallic "Guard" printed on seat in a special ink that won't crack when it stretches. Hello? It's pixel paint. It doesn't "crack" Tongue Plus I find the usage of the word bikini for a male swimsuit so funny  Cool

And I do find the "purchase" button hillarious. Just like a regular (fugly) clothing company except the clothing you get does not actually exist in real life! Woo!
83  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Another site goes free on: 2006 November 08, 11:53:32
I registered my known name as well. I happen to belong to several sites including happy bunny love ones (tho much that goes around some of them ain't happy or remotely bunny love-like, but meh) and well if they ban me for REGISTERING an account on a different site well...I don't need to be part of such a site anyways...
84  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Retail Sims on: 2006 November 08, 11:01:58
LMAO! I'm sure for a while she felt really proud of her shattering argument too. That is, until someone let her in on the intricacies of "sarcasm"...
85  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Why do people pay for some of this stuff? on: 2006 November 08, 10:43:53
Ok I guess my statement needs revising. Every intelligent, sensible comment made by someone who isn't a preteen/hormonal/just stupid

Although I do remember the Imogen Steenis craze. People have even PMed me about sending him to them.

Also, paying for an item in the community is becoming a status symbol among younger players.

True and sadly enough it doesn't stop there!

Owning a paysite is becoming a status symbol as well, and some people  whose age I will not comment   believe paysite creators get more respect from the community than those with free stuff whose stuff "gets taken for granted" Gee, if that's true, I wonder why almost every comment we get on Noukiesims includes a thankyou for being free... Cool

89  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / EA: All Your Mesh Are Belong To Us on: 2006 November 08, 00:35:12
Ahh but the mesh is a work of art! Like...you don't credit the factory for the canvas, right??! So it's totally mine! Like, really!   Tongue
