I've never played Neopets, but my friends have (and some still do). The ones who quit are kind of mad at it, and the ones still playing think it's great.
They're leeching their parents dry, I'm guessing, since you have to pay to get stuff. My mom would kick me if I asked her for money to play an online game.

Oh, man, I've tried Gaia online and I really don't see what the hype's about. It's icky. 'Gaia Online Must Be Destroyed' sounds like a good idea. Smiley

Many people I know believe that girls and boys who dress up like that will turn out to be slutty. I don't try to understand their way of thinking, since they're entitled to their own opinion....

My youngest stepsister is constantly being shoved into too-tight Capri's and sleeveless tops. She's two-and-a-half. When I'm babysitting her, I usually dress her up in 'normal' toddler clothes. Of course, I get in trouble for it, but I think comfortable beats stylish at that age.

Well, then, I'll look forward to reaching the age of twenty. Smiley

On another note.... I'm the only one in my family with any immunity to overwhelming scents. My mom nearly passes out in the perfume isles of the stores, same goes for everyone else. But darn, if the stuff she buys doesn't smell good! (Although I've never been in Lush and she hasn't either, as she would definitely pass out and she can't be bothered getting it any other way.)

The sakura-flower-honey bath sounds nice.

I'm the odd one out, then. I'm a teen and I go -ugh- at the things 'we're' wearing nowadays.

And they're not trying to look like adults, no...(most) of them believe that they're old enough to boss everyone above the age of twenty around and can wear whatever they want without consequences. I can't wait to look back at these years and laugh. Is it fun to do so?

Toddler stilettos -- wow, I never thought anyone could be so sadistic. Then again...I guess I know a few. Finger-pointing is bad.

As for make-up, I guess I'm pretty low on it compared to other teens. I wear chapstick and occasionally a little eyeliner, but that's about it. I don't care if other people see that I'm pale or that I have the usual teenage acne problems. Lotion and soap are good enough for me. Other girls must have terrible skin...but then, why can't the boys also wear make up without being called 'gayfreaks' if they have acne problems too?

I love my baggy tee's and pants. They're comfortable, especially during the winter when the majority of the other girls still refuse to let go of their two inch skirts and spaghetti-straps. But they make up for that little inconvenience with furry boots with seven-inch heels.  Roll Eyes Those are excellent when there's black ice covering the whole ground until you break something.

Then there are the boys with the pants that are down around their ankles. I think they're actually making a type of pant that is made to do that; like, it really goes up to the waist but it looks like it doesn't. That confuzzles me, am I the only one?

Sometimes I wonder why anyone would even design those clothes, then I watch what's popular on TV and I'm reminded.

omg skanky clothes ftw!!!!!@!!!!1 XXDDDDDDD rofl

Thanks. I was worried for a few there.
(And I guess I'm pretty glad I've never been on any of those uptight forums; the off-topic conversations are often random and, well, fun.)

I go to shop for my daughter and I find pants with things written on the butt.
By the time I'm twenty they'll probably have words across more inappropriate parts of the anatomy unless the Moar Comfy Covering Clothes foundation steps up and knocks whoever makes those types of clothing down a few pegs in society.

I don't know if this qualifies as 'smutty' exactly, but it's definitely showing some skin that doesn't need to be shown Lips sealed (and I don't think I've seen it on here?). I wouldn't wear it and even the majority of the 'Pops' at my school wouldn't. I hope. Also, that metal would probably chafe the skin and cause an injury of some sort.
(I seriously tried to hotlink the image following the instructions on how-to, but I'm not sure if I succeeded. Apologies if not. Wink)

I'm feeling a bit queasy after reading all of the posts. The thing that annoys me most about them is that a lot of the girls who attend my school dress-up like that -- meaning the teen designs -- and they're the popular ones for it, too. All us other girls (the ones who prefer jeans that cover our butts and shirts that don't reveal our rather unattractive teenage cleavage) are considered 'boyish.'

The clothing made for children makes me wanna bash Thomas' someone's head in. I've dealt with paedophiles before, and trust me, when they see something like that, it's not at all pretty. Same goes for overly hormonal teenagers with no sense of sociability. But sadly, some parents think it's 'cute' for little girls to be parading around in skirts that aren't long enough and shirts that expose the shoulders and can slip at any time. And little boys don't need to go around showing off the 'goods,' thank-you-very-much.

I do believe some of the adult female models will be suffering from extreme uncomfortableness in certain areas, as well as a burning sensation when they use the restrooms. Fabric-burns, anyone?

On a side note, I've noticed a lot of topics go off track a lot. Does that happen everywhere, or just the places I go to...? But I came to enjoy this site because I love people who can take and give con-crit without flinching (meanness = happiness, IMO), so straying is fine with me. Which reminds me; first post here, so can anyone tell me if I did a no-no? Thanks.

(And if I want to be true to the 'current' topic, I guess I just copy then paste in the URL bar. It's easier that way, for me at least.)
