Perhaps, but I do sometimes let the motive decay stay on in order to explore certain aspects that require it. The reason I keep it off a lot of the time is so I can have them do what I want without them having to got to the bathroom or go to sleep. Sometimes I just want to see what will happen in certain situations.
It's just the way I play. It's not for everyone. My mother plays also. She just builds houses and creates the sims, but she doesn't play them. I always play mine, so our style of play is quite different. That versatility is a big part of what I like about the game.

To each his own. You play your way and I'll play mine.  Grin
OMG, he spoke at thee.
The wonderful thing about the game is that people can play however the fuck they want. Be it housing-slump recession survival, naming their kids as breakfast cereals, or making self-sims (and killing them creatively-- *cough*). More power to you.

I for one almost never use MAXIS anything. And I don't have any maxis match stuff. To some people, that's abhorrent.  Fuck them. That's how I play. I'm not going to tell them they shouldn't use it. Its just made for a different player. It's a fucking game. Come on.

Y'know it's weird, for all the stuff I download I'm using less and less CC in my houses.  I think it's because I'm afraid of the lag issue.  All I know is that I recently deleted all my ReflexSucks stuff* and when I was redecorating the houses it occupied I had a terrible time figuing out what to replace it with that would keep the "feel" of the original decor.  I finally realized I had plenty of stuff that would work, but I kept looking at EA stuff instead of CC.

*Except for the Elements set.  If anyone knows where I can find a couple of cool flaming torches and a fire bowl like hers I'd appreciate it.  I use them in cemetaries.

I've found that on my computer, lag doesn't seem to be related to how much custom content I have. There's one custom hot tub I can't really use because it causes slowdown, but that's the only thing I've found that causes problems. I get lag from ghosts, old Sims with tons of memories who won't just die already, bubbles in fountains, elevators, Sims turning blue from cold, and bad witches making lightning. All EAxis' fault.

What the fuck are talking about? Whether or not it is normal in real life isn't related to whether or not it is normal in-game behavior.

I don't get a lag from CC, but I go on thematic hunts and get bogged down with stuff I won't use. I finally just start over every few months from scratch because I have a download anomaly that crashes. I just did that today although MTS2 and SimPE are both down so I can't get CEP back for a few days.

This is not a Sims help site. Posting that here won't get you much, none of which would help you.

Try "Ask a Pirate" if you haven't already hit there.
