Motoki,

Of course I don't mind your changes. I'm happy if it makes you happy. Smiley Just a tiny suggestion and request if you don't mind. It probably would have been easier if you had looked for the painting or contacted me (as I'd be happy to link you or send it) for the original painting. The original painting would have been much easier for you to work off of instead of the tiny one on my file. And if there are more you choose to do this way, please, by all means, take the credit as you made a change and that change was not mine. I think that would be easier for sharing purposes. I'd like my work to stay mine and yours to be yours. I really have absolutely no problem with you using any of the artwork I upload on the site. You're welcome to change it to suit your needs. And you really did a nice job considering what you had to work with. Smiley

dstar,

Thank you. I hope you don't think I'm upset. I just wanted you all to know where I was coming from. I'm very appreciative that you've included my site in your updates. I'm really happy that you all like what has been put out so far, whether it's to your taste or not. I have to say, this experience has been one of the best I've ever had in this community and for that, I'm a happy camper. Smiley

Hi!

I just wanted to respond to the questions and statements about my paintings. First of all, I thought my site name, Sims Art Gallery, actually explained exactly what my site was. It is primarily for art. I love art. I have so many paintings up because my game is sadly lacking and each and every one of those paintings were in my sims 2 game and will be used again in my sims 3 game. I just thought I would share. I also realize that there are different strokes for different folks. Not everyone is going to like everything I post and everything I post is not going to fit into every style of decorating. I'd like to think I've given everyone something to suit their style.

As for recolors, ea has actually lessened the need for every item to be recolored. There are actually few things that can be recolored. Hence the lack of recolors of ea's meshes. The things that I use the most get recolored. If there is something you'd like recolored, by all means, leave me a message. It may not be possible, but I can always try. I needed the quilt rack recolored.  Sadly, it's not even in the list of things that can be recolored. Otherwise, we'd all have had recolors of that god awful quilt rack.

As for new meshes, at some point I'd like to try my hand at new meshes. The process is so new right now that I'd personally like to wait until it's a little further down the road. It's not a perfect system, but these tool creators are limited by what ea has done to the game. Personally, I think they've done an excellent job to get us this far down the road. And I'm not being ugly, but the some of the new meshes that have come out are not quite to my liking and I feel that at some point, things can only get better for meshes. I'm not interested in being one of the first to put something out simply because it can be done. I prefer to do it when things are better and what I post is a bit better quality. I'm not saying the new meshes are garbage or the creators. They are only doing what they can with what they have. Kudos to them for that.

I hope this has explained why there are so many paintings and what I hope for the future for the site. If you'll hang in there, so will I.

Haha, okay, whatever guys. Sorry my apology wasn't good enough for some of you, thanks to those of you who accepted it and moved on. That's what I'm doing now, moving on. And I don't know how I'm being demanding of anything at all. I said already that I didn't realize there was 81 pages. I went to a different less rude forum and read up, so thanks.

OMG! Go back, read your very first post then you may come back and call us rude. You little ho. What can we expect? We are rude.... Bite me bitch. At no point has any of your apologies been heartfelt or genuine. Good luck getting that insim...

Waya,

There's no reason to think you'll be blasted for that comment. It was very kind of you. Although not everyone visited or cared for Insim that doesn't mean it was not without it's value. It was a home to a great many people and a good one for them. I'm personally glad it's being saved for those folks.

Brit -

Someone told you to back away slowly. They were wrong. It's time for you to run. We realize not everyone cares, but the bulk of us care because it did affect an entire community. I don't care for the Insim board. I don't know the people, etc. I only downloaded a few things from there and was on my way. But human nature dictates to me that in our entire community, one section of it was hurt and hurt badly. So therefore I care enough to at least keep up with what is going on only if it's a show of support for the folks that ran it and visited it. You don't have to care but you also don't have to be a bitch. Put your big girl panties on, take what you deserve and leave. You don't get it and you never will. There are things bigger than ourselves at times and this is one of them.

eta: You added insult to injury from your very first post and you keep piling it on. I think you deserve what you get.

Lol. Blacky can go to TSR. It's not like BSZ has anything worth paying for in the first place. I'm also not so sure dumbass would take Blacky. They don't really have a big enough following to make it worth dumbass' while.

Do you all not remember the post at Coconut's about who got the bonus that month? Do you all not remember her snarkiness because she didn't get it and felt she should have? Then she lit into dumbass for announcing the bonuses and they had to change the way he announced it. He should have thought about it before he posted but I still can't forget her hatefulness over not getting the bonus. It was put in a way that out of everyone she should have gotten it. I don't feel sorry for someone that snarky. Granted dumbass should not have handled things the way he did and deserved what he got, but so does she.

I believe you guys are right. Karma is a bitch, ain't it raveena?

I'm with you Requip. A year or so ago I filed a complaint against peggy's and let's just say it took me all of 5 days to get my money refunded....

In Georgia they are extremely strict. My husband got probation for our cats running away. They would always run outside when we opened the door, I suppose since they weren't allowed to go outside, and they ran off one day when my mom opened the door and I didn't notice until later that night. Our daughter had just been born and I was kind of busy.  They didn't come back to our house for some reason, they went up the street to a neighbor and she called animal control. When we called everywhere trying to find them, they put two and two together and assumed we threw them out instead of then running away. Even after they gave us the cats back, after we paid to adopt them again, they charged my husband with animal cruelty and he was on probation for a year.

It was ridiculous. We had so much trouble over it, we tried to tell them he wasn't even home, but they didn't listen. The lady up the street told them she saw him hitting and throwing the cats out. She was angry we called the police when her teenage daughter kept going in our mailbox and stealing cards we were getting for our daughter. Luckily, we moved, but it was a hassle to get his probation transferred to another state.

Tabby,

This is unreal. Sounds more like an ACO on a power trip with a shelter that hasn't made the money to keep itself going each month. Here, we don't do anything about cats running away other than to try to catch them. No fines. For goodness sakes, they're cats. That's what they do! On top of that, here the cats that run lose keep the mouse population under control. Cats are considered to be far more self sufficient than a dog so therefore, we only try to catch them to return them to the owner, at the owner's request only. Other than that, they are allowed to run lose.

Your husband never should have been on probation for that. The ACO should have known this was a grudge call. My husband actually knows and talks and talks and talks to people before he decides if someone should be arrested. He talks to the owners, the neighbors and the complainant. He's come across tons of grudge calls. All he does is warn the owners. You also should not have had to "adopt" them again. That was the shelter's way of getting more money out of you to deflate their monthly expenses. The ACO should not have let the shelter charge you that. The ACO is over the shelter and if you truly believe and have evidence that this ACO is not acting according to law, you can turn him in. The shelters and ACO's are scared of the ASPCA. They don't like reports being sent on them. So sorry you all were treated this way.

The incident happened about a year ago. Since then he has been institutionalized, put on meds, and the agression and disturbed thinking has been put to a halt. During that time my sister has broken up, got back together, broken up, etc etc. She does whatever she wants, she feels she can handle him, and she is definately no cookie. Ofcourse my parents don't agree with the relationship, but shes 32 and an adult. On meds, the guys seems to be able to handle himself. You need to keep in mind though that the moment he starts taking the meds wrongly or stops, he will flip out again.

Nouk,

The next time she gets a pet with this guy around and he begins to abuse the animal, intentionally or not. CALL THE ANIMAL SHELTER IMMEDIATELY!!!! They will send out the Animal Control Officer. When that happens, the man is in big doo doo. The police come to back the ACO up and help him get the animal out of harms way. The officers then arrest the abuser and if your sister is around, she'll be arrested as well for not coming to the aid of the animal. By the time the shelter is finished leveling charges, they will never own another animal again, they will have probably done some jail time and they will have paid a fortune in fines. The animal shelter has more pull with judges. 95% of the cases are won by the shelters. A judge refuses to rile the ASPCA. I tell you this because my husband IS an ACO. He's extremely fair but abuse is abuse. One gentlemen that had abused a dog wanted to leave the area and travel all the way to New York to escape prosecution. We laughed. When an arrest warrant is made, they'll follow it all the way to any state you choose to escape and you will be extradited back to the originating state. Not only is the man not allowed to own another animal in his lifetime, paid fees, did a bit of jail time he was also made to go to counseling for anger management! As well as the girlfriend.
