Title: is it safe to post the link to this site?
Post by: xfetishgirl on 2007 April 26, 00:34:46
Just to be on the safe side, is it a bad idea to post this sites URL on sites such as MTS2 (under an unused alias of course) when people post recoulours of pay meshes and people post comments about how sad they are? or is it better to keep this site on the "down low" just to be safe? I would like to spread the luffness, and further harm the moochers such as peggy.

It's SAFE in that it won't harm *US*, but other sites don't always approve.

There was a post or two on a recoloured payfile at MTS2, directing people here, but it's been deleted.  It went a few days at least without being detected, but a mod deleted it saying "Stealing is bad".  How stupid considering Peggy and Rose steale, AND profit on custom content, which is against the E.U.L.A.  Go figure.

If you're going to be posting under an alias, you could direct people to "The Site That Must Not Be Named", letting them know to type it into Google or something.

Maybe you could put the link to PMBD or the booty on your sims page at the official site?  Then you could put a link to your sim page either in a sig at MTS2 or in your profile (under homepage) on that site.

You could also link to this article in your MTS2 sig.  The author of the article does it lol.  It talks about why you shouldn't pay for custom content, how it's illegal, and also provides a direct link to PMBD.

it can be fun to see them try and stop us from 'stealing' , but if you don't mind an unfair ban or bitch go ahead. XD

i made a link at my new site, but its really not a link. its like a thank you gratitude for the people here at PMBD. Just to let you know. Is that ok?
You all say that linking is bad. So i made no link, but there's the "PMBD" word in it...

They were messing with you :)

Linking on your own site is only bad if you want to be a member of the FFFSSSS...S. I don't know how many F's and S'es but pick some out.

Also, some people might take it upon themselves to tell you how evil we are. But if you don't mind that - link away :) Spread the goodness. Or evilness. Whichever you prefer.

Didn't mean to confuse you. Federation for Free Sim Sites, I believe.

Don't ask me about the particulars... Maybe someone else can explain...

I've been thinking that the whole time and not wanting to ask!

I've come to the realization that there are SO many Sim boards/sites that I have no clue about.

got it...

so even though im not a member of that FFSSFFSFSFS.
I think i should give proper credit to PMBD, as ive said, it will not be a link from here. It is just an appreciation, a credit, for giving me an ego in building a free site and DESTROYING PAYSITES! LOL

more peoples need to respond on that thread cause jessica 202 said "I think TSR and PeggySims2 and also RoseSims has great content, a lot of it's worth paying for, sometimes I think they charge a lil much, but still not bad for such great content! I haven't seen any gaps by the neck or bad meshes with either RoseSims or PeggySims!"

Umm, yeah, cuz Peggy HUGEGAPS and Chaz FUGLY are sooooo "great" and "worth paying for"...absolutely not.  People buy because they think not much better is out there, so "hey I'll live with the gaps".  Screw that.

Besides, how can you NOT see any neck gaps?  Peggy makes them so huge you can see inside the Sims' head right to their TEETH.

I seriously have no neck gaps on any of her hair. Maybe I'm not using the "gappy" ones but I went in game and tested the ones I use and none have gaps...

Not all of them do, which is what's so baffling about the whole deal. She fixes some but not others.

Not anymore, now they (Peggy, Rose and some other) can afford buying hairmeshes from studios around the world, but they still steal meshes,
taken credits for it, dishonest $%!!@sss!!

They're busted more than once  :D Same on TSR where Sims2sisters
are calling themself featured artists, stealing meshes from Studio Maya,
there are many examples.

I know but I'm using some old meshes too and not seeing any gaps. Some of the gaps others have seen I've put in my game and have seen not one rear its ugly head once...Am I not looking hard enough?

Maybe you're just not contorting yourself and/or your sim to the right angle to be able to see it? I don't know. I don't use Peggy hair because it laaaaaaags my game.

I notice that site has become considerably less active as of late, like every other project with Super-Deformed, Bobbleheaded involvement. One might even say that it looks dead. Clearly, BlueSoup has failed us! You must not!

That's a shame.  It was a good idea, but in a way it also promoted paysites, since I think I remember some sites getting good reviews.  I'm too lazy to check it out, though.  If it were something like Why Paysites are Sucky, I  have a bunch of pictures taken that show off their true monsterpieces.
