And I'll say it again:  whackjobs are amusing.  Pure entertainment.  At this rate, she's gonna have a stroke, then her site will be the least of her worries. (Trying to get on the list, cause I'm a meanie too!)

To recap:  PMS/Solander - cool, free site with purty things.  Teutonic Twats - bad, icky and teh evil.  Oh, and greedy bitches, too.  Kalliope - who?  BlackPearl - WTF?  Wayne Newton - most amusing topic in thread.  Dankeschoen - I likes to say it, and it reminds me of Ferris Bueller.  Cool

All hail Hecubus and pointy sticks!  As for having no life outside of the computer, I don't recall anyone here claiming to spend eight hours a day creating meshes, and using that as a reason to charge for them.  Perhaps that person (Sasilla, if I'm not mistaken) should get a life, or a real job.
And for what it's worth, I've always liked PMS, and have expressed thanks in the guestbook.  Solander, I use your first kitchen set quite frequently, cause I like it lots.

Because nohead is apparently bent on continuing to charge for content.  It would be interesting knowing just who nohead really is.

Well hell, I'm late too.  It doesn't make it any less heartfelt though, so Happy Birthday!

Is it just me, or does the new set of Elmazzz eyes look incredibly similar to Helaene's sparkling eyes?

Helaene

Elmazzz

The TSR eyes aren't in the booty yet, so I can't do an out and out compare, but even without doing that, they're still very similar.  The Elmazzz eyes just seem to have a slight blur added, and darkening around the iris.  Coincidently, the set "Comes in 9 sparkling colors!"  All I know is, as soon as I saw that new set, I automatically thought of Helaene's.  Of course, Helaene's are nicer.

I never post here (just lurk and read) but since everyone's sharing pics I thought I would too

this I uploaded to MTS2 a couple of weeks ago

I have that one, it's very nice.  Thanks for sharing it.  And I love Nouk's mesh, I'm always looking for things that use it.
25  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / well these are preeettyyyyyyy.... on: 2007 June 19, 05:37:57
I'm crying from laughing too hard.
I think I stared at that pic for a full minute.  It's jaw dropping.
I could never be intimate with someone like that.  The experience would be too close to beastiality.  And imagine the shedding.

And i'm going to use the oldest most immature line in the book, but seriously get a life and stop stalking people.

Seriously?  You just got here and already have 13 posts.  Dredged up threads that haven't seen the light of day for months.  All likely brought on by your weird narcissism.  Get over yourself.

Well, I'm peversely happy.  It seems two things were accomplished by that thread.  The addition of the poll, and the favor being for listing poly counts.  We'll see if they act upon it.  And, of course, the fantastical way in which DOT stated her opinion.  I never saw that coming, and was incensed when I read it, but I'm glad she displayed herself in such a way.  I couldn't wait to repost that, because I knew the thread wasn't going to last.  PMBD was my first choice, as I knew it was pokeable & laughable.  S2C for the idiots/misinformed who still like to defend TSR, or don't see what's wrong with it.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that DOT's response was at the behest of Atwa.  Atwa was addressed by Living Dead Girl & myself, over a week prior to DOT's post, asking for her input, in light of her Non-FA Artist Manager position  O.o  The next time she posts, is fifteen minutes after DOT

I went there with an honest question.  I'll admit, the post was triggered by Sasilia's response at SFV to Alia questioning poly counts of Sasilia's meshes.  That "silly assholes" comment really grated on me.  And knowing that some recent FA "aquirements" were really poser conversion meshers, this topic would be oh so relevant and ... interesting.  I didn't really see myself as being confrontational, so I don't know what the hell happened.  I went from angry (pet peeve: condescending people), to highly amused (the brough-ha-ha that ensued, and the mindless display of the sheep.)  Eh, I went & spent time with the hubby after 404's post, so I missed all the rest    Thanks for those posts 404 & alia, and whoever else's posts I missed, and thanks for the rum as well.  Ha, I saved the page and noticed, at the moment I saved it, Steve Bonham was reading the thread.

Do what I do, assume everyone at TSR is a cunt. Then, you can only be pleasantly surprised if they exhibit non-cunty behaviour.

  Too true.  I think I have a quote!  Hope you don't mind, Capucine.

Is someone a little snippy in one of these posts?

I was going to post this in TSR Info & Discussions, but I guess I'm not allowed to post there.
Is there a particular reason why mesh creators are not required to post poly counts with their meshes? It just seems logical that they should, they created it, therefor they should know the counts. If I don't see the counts listed, I assume one of two things, either the creator is just lazy, or they don't want to advertise their meshes are high poly. I've already downloaded a few meshes that had no count listed, and when I took the time to check for myself, the counts were rediculously high. And so I deleted them. Not because my pc can't handle them (it certainly can), I just don't see the need for a gazillion poly mesh. So now my personal rule is, no counts listed, no download from me. I don't have the time or the inclination to check every mesh out there myself, when it would have taken the creator all of a few seconds to include that info.
I don't understand why this is not a requirement, it is at other sites, and it's the responsible thing to do.

FA response:

I would not like the poly count to be required on meshes. I will not post the poly count unless I feel~ like posting the poly count. Why I will not post the poly count is because most don't understand the poly count. I am so~ betting you are one of them. I usually don't like extra rules and requirement, as I find real life is full of enough rules and requirements. I would not like your idea of rules and requirements imposed into creating, by number watchers such as yourselves, who have spent way too much time reading about things they only hope that they understand.
Just like you have personal rules . . . I have personal rules
'Responsible thing to do' . . . is insulting to my intelligence and laughable to me. At what point in your life did you decide it is a 'responsible' thing to post poly count. Again, I would bet that it is just something that you have read (you left out moral obligation). Especially since you say you have never had a problem with your computer playing the game. What game are you playing. Does Maxis post poly count on their high poly things. No, they do not. Are you sure your computer can play their game. All of the 'free extras' they have on their site to download are huge in poly
You are too funny  Should there be poly count police? We could call the phone police and ask them

I should start a thread on cost of objects within the Sim game. And the 'responsibility' of posting the cost of a Sim object. What about all the poor Sim. We need cheaper Sim objects for the poor Sims!

Speaks loads about her attitude towards her paying customers
