Also related to a handful of potheads. They are endless amusement! I love anything that makes me lol.

That being said--- Is it really great for advertisement to have a huge freaking marijuana leaf over your donation item?

FAIL, Rose. FAIL.

Nah, that post wasn't aimed directly at you, just venting in your general direction. Don't take it personally.

I get a tad frustrated sometimes is all, and me being here longer than any other particular person really is neither here nor there, except when people assume they know all the exact whys and wherefores on which it was founded. It wasn't like it just appeared magically and everyone had rum and cookies, there were some disagreements in the process. I would rather people didn't take Pes or anyone else's opinion at face value as 'the right one', since that would just make us a bunch of sheeples. I in fact agree with you 100% that no one should charge anything for any pixels. The less or more evil thing is not me trying to justify anyone charging, but really it's me idealistically holding out hope that some of these misguided creators can be brought to see the light. It has happened before.

I know that you weren't taking shots at people who pay money for the booty, I just borrowed your term. That bit wasn't really in response to what you said, I guess I should have made it clearer that it was more of an elaboration of what you said before.

Don't take what I said personally, it wasn't aimed at any one person.

Well, cool beans! :D

And yes, sorry for the misinterpretation of your post. I just wanted to make sure I was making myself clear, y'know?

That's fine, we can agree to disagree on this one small thing, since we are all working for the same cause. But please, if we are going to do this, don't give me this "what started this website" business, because if I recall correctly, I was here and you guys were not. Blue Soup had just as large a hand in creating this site as Pescado, he provided the space and she (with the help of many other generous people, I might add) initially provided all the booty that everyone loves so much. And she and Pescado disagreed on this subject as well. They didn't let it stop them from making the site though, did they?

And really, where do you think all the booty comes from?? Of course people are still giving money to paysites for the items we have. And you know, it was once the responsibility of everyone in the filesharing community to help pay for shared items, not just a few "checkbook martyrs". Of course, that was back when we were all underground and people like most of you had no idea we existed. So yes, quite a few of us have no problem saying that we have and would pay for items, since we shared it freely. In my opinion, those of you that love the booty but would never dream about taking on any of the cost should thank your lucky stars that there are those of us that will. I'm not saying to kiss anyone's ass, but think twice before reaming people for having paid for items.

I'm sorry if that came off as being a bit bitchy, it kind of gets under my skin when people assume that there is only one right way to do this anti-paysite-filesharing business, since people have been successfully doing it way before Pes came on board. His contribution is by no means insignificant, since he took all the heat when he went public.

I'm not hating on anyone here. I know I haven't been here as long as, well, a bunch of people. Never, ever, would I claim otherwise. I've a lot of respect for any and all who had a hand in building this awesome community. Sorry if I implied otherwise. But I do not think that this means my opinion counts for less. if this was the point that was being made, I resent it.

I'm just saying, what I got out of the FAQ and the vast majority of posts was that Paysites suck. What got under my skin was the whole "some suck less than others" idea. Which sure, is true. But that isn't the point. I don't think anyone should give money for pixels, regardless of how nice the creator is.

An exception was made to the people who give money to donate to the booty in my post! OBSERVE:

(Obvious exceptions are people who are checkbook martyrs and give their money to paysites so we all can have them free of cost. These individuals deserve to be high-fived, and possibly sexually pleasured by a phsycailly attractive celebrity of their choice.)

(lol @ my typo.)

My whole "stop giving money to the paysites" spiel was aimed purely at people who give money and do not donate to the booty. This was off of the observation made on some posts in this thread. If I was mistaken in reading that there were people who did this, please forgive my mistake.

BUT if the issues with my post was my opinion, I'm not apologizing. Regardless of Blue Soup and Pescado's varying opinions on the matter & their subsequent ability to make the site despite it, I do still hold the right to voice my own. Even if I didn't have a hand in creating the site, and only joined a few months ago (as is the case).

I'm going to hop on the bandwagon that started this website. Y'know, the ol' "all paysites suck" schtick.

I'm not going to pass judgment on people who happen to have paid for donation items at some point. The booty didn't always exist, after all. And some of us were not aware of the option of booty. HOWEVER, to say, "well, some paysites suck less than others!" is pointless. Why? Because all paysites suck. They suck because they are trying to get you to pay for something that should be free.

Over-all Point #1: Lay off the people who have paid for donation items. Unless they're justifying doing it now. In which case, verbal thrash away.

Over-all Point #2: If you have the booty and know of the booty, what the fiddle-sticks are you doing still giving these jerks your money? (Obvious exceptions are people who are checkbook martyrs and give their money to paysites so we all can have them free of cost. These individuals deserve to be high-fived, and possibly sexually pleasured by a phsycailly attractive celebrity of their choice.)

I've hated lesser-of-two-evilism since 2004. It doesn't matter if somebody sucks less than somebody else, suckitude is suckitude, and should be discouraged. If they're such an awesome person, why the heddle-hay aren't they making their stuff for free, eh?

DONE WITH THIS NOVEL. I got to go buy my cats food before they eat me.

The 70's as well, remember the pleated skirts that looked like mini skirt kilts that were real popular? Those only had the belt on the front side and a zipper in back or on the side of the skirt.

I actually have one of these, except it's relatively new (I bought it at http://www.ragstock.com not even three weeks ago). there's a lot of things that were fashionable in the '60s and '70s that are coming back.

oh dangz...fashion faux-paz sistas!

Yeah, I meant that without the illiteracy.

WOOO!!!

Literacy? This is the fracking internet. If you can't combine street slang and chat room acronyms here, where the hell can you?

(I just bought a plaid jumper the other day from some old lady. It's apparently from the '60s and belonged to her daughter. I am just a clothes-whore, and am going through a bit of a phase.)

I also came out with the cord wrapped around my neck (6 times I think?). I looked purple and my family thought I was going to be a black baby. My father is half-and-half, so it wouldn't have been too odd. Except... no, I was just suffocating.

Probably didn't help that I was premature by a good month and a half, but yeah.

Likewise, I came out all wrinkly and squishy looking. Also, I glared a lot. And I have the same nose & chin I have right now. (Polish nose! And a witchy chin.) Which on an adult looks fine, but on a baby looks weird.

I just looked like a freaking gnome. Huge nose, huge chin, bald and wrinkly, and glaring a lot.
23  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / OMFG!!!!EINZ!!! RoseSims is being soooo nice!! on: 2007 September 29, 15:28:57
I actually agree. I was an ugly baby (just.. trust me on this), but I still think my baby-self had a lot of charm! I actually just plain love babies. My little sister was born when I was 9years old, and since then I have been like, "BABIES ARE AWESOME."

So I was just kidding. I picked the phase up from a friend of mine, and I almost spewed out the rum & coke I was drinking all over the place laughing.
Rum + coke does not feel good exiting through the nose. Not even kind of.

That being said, I do not condone the punching of babies, even the strange looking ones. I love babies, all babies. It's the little shits that some of them grow into that I can't stand.

& anyways, if I knew of a paysite owner, I maybe wouldn't punch them, but I would certainly call them out on their bullshit, and maybe throw one of my cats at them.

(Don't worry, an ugly baby.)

  Baby puncher!

They should have thought about not getting punched before they were born ugly.

Just a thought!

I've never actually seen an ugly baby, so I don't know about you punching babies, dispossesive.  Show me an ugly baby (not dirty-really ugly) and I won't get so mad. :D

http://www.uglybabycontest.com/

Don't ever say I didn't provide evidence. Ugly babies exist, and this hideousness can only be cured by a good punching.

(I should note that I'm one of those IRL baby lovers. With a baaaad sense of humor. I'm able to sink as low as I can for a laugh. )

:D

I've actually been pissed off about the gap thing over at Peggy's and Rose's for awhile now. Being that I have always refused to pay money for pretty pixels, I figured these gaps weren't present in the donation pieces.

But yes, now I know better and that is fucking horrible. To do a shitty job on a free hairstyle is pretty terrible by itself, but to rip off the poor saps willing to pay? That's fucking whack, yo.

The whole, "Hey, pay for me to fix this despite the fact it was my fault it was fucked up to begin with" thing is infuriating, and makes me want to punch a baby.

(Don't worry, an ugly baby.)

Props to Renegade for being the better person and fixing this bullshit for free.

My favorite numbers are all odd (11, 19 and 21)... but numbers I associate with best are 2 and 8.

In the numerological sense, I'm an 8. I forget what that means.

Dude, not wanting to share your Sims is one thing, but handing them out and then getting pissy about them being, you know, used is a whole'nother thing. She gotta set her priorities set - either keep them to herself and get no fangirls, or post them and get her ego fed, but be aware her precious creatures ain't safe anymore. And even one is annoyed by that, it's not difficult to calculate that a hissy fit would make you look daft and keep your emo reaction to self.

Comparisons with Gaiman are ridiculous even if they aren't in AG's favour (duh!), because one is a world famous yet self-conscious writer with great sense of humour, and another is a e-drama queen who makes emo soapies out of goofy goofy game.

Aaaand here be a little makeover for ya'll:

Tristan the Lumberjack - look how happy he is, poor darling! Bet that meanie Aikea never allows him to smustle because that's sooo not emo.  8)

OMFG awesome!

It's funny because while I do credit Aikea on her distinct sims... goddamn does Tristan look fugly without his eyeshadow, tight pants and luscious girl hair.

Lumberjacks pwn though.

I forgot about the new overlay ones. I'm going to have to check that tutorial out also. It's a pain to have genetic tattoos, so thanks for the linkage to that. :)

:D No problem. They were a pleasant surprise when I decided to search for the tutorial Aikea put up.

^ Funny thing happened on the way to the bank today....that's actually how I learned how to make tattoos. She has a tutorial somewhere that tells you how to make tats. It's somewhere and I can't remember where the hell it is.
Nor do I fucking care to.

Apparently I fucking care (who knew?): The tat tutorial http://pics.livejournal.com/aikea_guinea/gallery/0003pc8d

There it is~! For some reason I thought it was over at MtS2, but I guess it's at her LJ. Maybe it was over at MtS2 at some point.

Doesn't matter, I found another one that shows you how to do *overlay* tattoos.

http://www.modthesims2.com/showpost.php?p=1711850&postcount=1

Which actually suits my purposes better. I don't like tattoos to be genetic.
