From sites like Simfantastic2. The guy that runs that joint has made three unofficial Stuff Packs already, with a fourth coming soon. But, hmmm, he doesn't charge for it, he doesn't bitch constantly about bandwidth costs. Yeah, some people might see the items in the stuff packs and go "Eh, no thanks.", but look at the overall principle. I don't ever recall seeing a paysite having an unofficial Stuff Pack (imagine how much they might charge for that if they did), yet here ya go, 3 free packs, with no whining, etc.Sites like that, and Paladin's Place seem to be rare. Nice things, with ZERO whining.....

Ok,ok.....I too was like what the fucking hell...but then I gave it some thought........IF a Sims movie were to be made...........How to..........
1)Base the plot loosely off of Soapdish from years ago, except a Maxis game programmer gets knocked out and wakes up in the Sims.
2)Start from the get-go, A sims movie, except no plumb-bobs. We'd see cow-plants, zombies, you name it.
That's all I have for now...........Yes, I'm a movie nut, and a bigger FX nut,lol.........

Shit, I hate dramawhores, beit real shit,or fake shit. In the real world, if someone keeps whining about the same lame ass petty shit, I tell them a quick rundown of my life so far, and then ask if they have any reason to bitch about their petty shit. Works everytime! My life: oh, 25 operations by age 30, quarter pound of titanium in lower face, 2 foot long rods hooked into spine for scoliosis, several suicide attempts as a teen, 2 car wrecks, 2 motorbike wrecks, 1 spectacular mountainbike wreck (road rash all down left side of body), case of scarlet fever at age 15 that nearly killed me................BUT I'M STILL HERE, AND YOU DON'T HEAR ME GRIPING AND WHINING ABOUT ALL THAT, do ya?LOL.........Yeah, that shuts their lil pie-holes real fucking quick!

do you really believe that EA will sue paysites ?? are you dumbs or what?!
Paysites are much more profitable to EA than you think! Fansites give more success to their game.. if players have to play only with original content of the game it wouldn’t be so popular!
And this is much true for paysites.. you can say what you want on them but you must admit that their custom content improves a lot the game.. people continue to play the sims 2 and continue to buy add on and other stuff... if EA was against paysites do you really think that they would wait your letter to do something :roll:
paysites are doing money with EA, EA is doing money with paysites and everyone is happy! You're basically saying that only paysites make awesome stuff. Which isn't true. Peggy's meshes have tons of gaps and holes. Ratproductions, simplystyling, Nouk,...many of the great sites are free. And better. Hell, Paladin's site SimWardrobe has had some of the best free stuff in a long time, IMHO. ARRRR........PAYSITES OFF THE PORT BOW! CAPTAIN.....THE SS EA IS PULLING UP BEHIND US..........LOOKS SHE MIGHT BE READYING HER CANNONS...........*pulls cork out of vodka bottle and takes a swig* |

Slightly OT, but still in the same vein as saying someone elses' work is your own: Not long ago, I found the MaxoidMonkey lots he/she designed for the game on the exchange, but listed under like 3 different people on the Maxis Exchange.Nothing was changed whatsoever, and 2 of the 3 claimed they made them. I as well as several other people signed these 3 members guestbooks letting them know what we thought, and only one fucker was stupid enuff to fight and still claim they designed the lot!Anyways, after that, I let the fight go, so I dunno if they were deleted out of the exchange or not, but go figure. I remember when I played SC4, and there was alot of lot stealing then.

Well,right now in the US Congress, there's a bill being talked about that would allow the IRS to bully online auction houses, sites like the paysites,small businesses , anything that conducts transactions and makes money online, into giving up their customer's info for tax purposes, as well as crack down on sites that are making "tax-free" income.The biggest concern from all of this is new ways for Identity Theft, and also small businesses that can't afford to go tracking down all their customer's info.

I think, if you REALLY want to piss off the paysites, and it's probably been suggested before, so don't make me walk the plank,a PMBD exchange ought to be setup, similar to Insimenator, where we could upload and share what all we have created with the booty files.
