i was browsing over at insim just a few moments ago and i noticed a new thread in the "general sims 2 discussion" and i see this topic: can i link back to paysitemustbedestroyed.org? the poster was apparently building a lot and had some cc he had gotten from here. he "wanted to know if it would be alright if he linked his cc on insim back to the booty." lol, the thread was locked immediately of course, but now a lot of people will be able to see the topic and think hmm, whats that! i also think there are many mods at insim they are anti pay and they were mostly cool with the topic, it was closed because they didn't want "drama". i think mostly because fat head beosboxboy for some reason is a paysite sympathizer.

I wonder if that thread will spawn a new troll or two. I know I'll be waiting for the FBI.

I saw a post over there for a Peggy hair recolor from February? I think, and they said, you can either get the mesh from Peggy's site or from "here" and linked to PMBD.

Insim is a very conflicted place because Kathy is pro-PMBD, but many of her mods are anti. This results in a rather lack of clear policy and much ineffectual hand-wringing there.

I must say I tend to choose my moderators from people with similar attitudes to myself, that way I can be reasonably happy the forums will be run the way I would run them.   But InSim is huge.  Maybe they can't afford to lose anyone.

And odd.  Every other message board I've been to, the owner is the boss and mods who don't agree with major issues (such as "paysites or no")... aren't mods.

Actually I came here from a link from that site.  I think it was a hair recolour, so it could possibly be the peggy hair.  Since her colours are crap! :lol:

I found this site some months back through a link on InSim that was posted by the user CobainFan. Since that happened, many of us have checked it out and some have become forum members here. That thread is not locked and you can post in it today, but I just wish I could remember the name of it. As for bbb, he is a conflicted individual but on a personal level, he's been a total sweetie to me and helped me through some shit. Kathy is one of the coolest peoples there and she will tell you to check this place for something that you'd otherwise have to pay to get. She's a riot! This place is rather an open secret and covert advertising pays! Yay, booty!

yea, ive read posts where BBB is a great guy and ive read posts about his feelings for paysites, which mad me mad. he thinks what we are doing is "stealing" calling him a fathead might have not been the nicest, lol. i just cant understand how is a free creator that knows the EULA and thinks what WE are doing is wrong. we are pirates (arr) we cant help ourselves, lol. i love kathy too, i wish i could meet her and go drink some rum together, i need a drink.

I run my own site and have some PMBD items from Booty available there and advertised my site at InSim.  It was overlooked for awhile until someone whined about it so now my site has been pulled from the web advertisement section.   :roll:   I feel sorry that there is so much "drama" based around this.

The area that got me booted is called Pirate's Cove (http://dlmulsowssimantics.freeforums.org/viewforum.php?f=32).

I actually found out about this site in a chatbox at a forum where even the mention of PMBD is a no no. LOL. Needless to say I was curious as to why the hell it was not even allowed to be mentioned and so...I ended up here and thank god because all paysites really do need to be destroyed. :)

In that case, I wonder what would happen if someone makes metaphorical pro-PMBD contents and upload them to InSIM?

Yeah, I was recently invited to check out your site, and got the message via insim, but it's a shame the advertising was pulled, as I think you have a pretty cool looking site from what I saw.  Had computer problems so have not had the chance to look, but I will be back.  LOL

Others may try and ignore or hide 'the site that must not be named' but they will not totally succeed as people will seek and find the treasure if they want it bad.

I just love InSim, and the people are generally nice. About the booty though, the link was allowed for quite some time, then some members started acting like fools (like paysites *aren't* stealing:roll: ), so Kathy said no more. Some people will put a link in their readme and tell downloaders to actually READ it for a good hint, or they might say there are alternative ways and suggest to google that which must not be named.

I admit nothing.  ;)  Just spread the word that Sim~Antics (http://dlmulsowssimantics.freeforums.org) is a pirate friendly site.  Upload or download, but have fun.  The administrator there doesn't give a shit what the pay sites want.  It's free, all day and all night.

You got me thinking I might do something similar afterall I love pirate theme's.

The only suggestion I have is to make the pictures larger on that Insim thread!!  So we can see it better.  You are allowed to this so here's how to do it:

PICTURE TUTORIAL:

You can take your pictures and host them right there at InSim!

1. In game, set your pix values at Large and high quality.
2. Take your pictures.
3. Open your thread and add your pictures to the "manage attachments" section.
4. Then as you write your story or comments, you can add the full size pictures to the thread by placing (http://) brackets around your pictures. NOW how to do that:

1. Click on the attachment in the manage files section. It will bring up your picture in full size.
2. Copy the hyperlink and paste it between the (http:// and )
3. Waaalaah! Gorgeous pics hosted right here!!! No mess and NO hassle!

There are two or three threads on insim that link back to booty.
It's how I found out about this site.
Honestly though, I don't see why they shouldn't link back here, show that you're anti-pay with pride :]
Besides, aren't you supposed to link back to the site where you got the content from and if they got it from PMBD then they should link to there.

I stumbled in here on a post on Simscontest forum from a question someone else asked.  Topic was left alone too, that last troll that was here might have been from there.

I got here because it was mentioned at the Starsims forum. I did have to google it though. I think pmbd is 10 times better just because we're pirates and Pirates kick ass. :D

I heard about this place several times, but I couldn't find it.  :roll:   Every time I would find a thread mentioning it, it would get locked, the link deleted, etc.. I finally gave up.

I found it finally totally by accident, while link hopping from one of my favorite house sites.  I'm always searching for the furniture they furnish with.. and they happened to have a link to ya'll from there.. and a new pirate was born

I found out from emo sims, they had a a hair recolor. It also said it was paid but you can download from here, a link of course. So i went here and went on a downloading spree, but now i hardly ever download. I actually think free content is better, maybe it was cause i couldn't get there stuff before.

I'd seen this site mentioned a couple times before but never named  (hee). It peeked my interest but I couldn't figure it out. Finally arrived via MATY, where it may have been under my nose the whole time. Figures.

I actually found it through SFV, which I found out through some forum. Then I lurked for about a week being entertained beyond belief before finally posting. :shock:
