Beware of Painted-On-Shine in TS3. In TS2, it would look bad, but you could get away with it. In TS3, reliance on painted-on-shine instead of correctly using reflectivity mapping results in UTTER SHITE. If anything, floodfill is actually the correct way to build base textures in TS3. Patterning is done as an overlay in CAST, bumpmapping and reflectivity are performed seperately, so the base texture is essentially floodfill masking.
