*nod nod nod* It works just fine! Thanks again, Moune! Oh, and I wanted to add that the recolours of the blouse and tights that Cookiepirate's daughter made look so very good in my game, thanks for sharing those!

Thanks, I'll let her know what you said! Grin
32  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Ea makes statement March 2 making paysites ok? on: 2009 March 03, 05:25:42
You know, I don't care what Drea says.  At this point I'm getting to where I don't even give a flying fuck about anything JR says.

EA shits on the awesome freesites and plays house with scumbags.  Fine, they want to play that way?  I'm feeling rather Robin Hood-ish right about now, and I've never liked scumbags -or- bullies.

I hate to say it, but that is likely exactly the response TSR and co. are looking for.

"Look!  EA came out and said we are A-OK and the pirates still wanna steel are stuffeths!  They said they'd stop pirating if EA said we were OK!  They are still teh EBILLLS!!!ZOMG!!!1!!11eleventyone!"

No.  TSR wants us to go, "Oh, darn it, we were wrong, EA doesn't mind paysites.  Let's set free the booty and disband because we were wrong.  Sorry, TSR, our bad."

You can't set something free that already is... Wink  Everyone is focusing on the so called "nod of okay to paysites", but it didn't say we couldn't file share either.  In my eyes, they gave us the "nod of okay to PMBD".   Kiss

It's really too bad the creators of the user tools, like SimPE for example, don't have a clause about not using the program to create a file that can be profited from, whether it is pay-per-object or a subscription to the website.

The flowers usually do and for a short period, but cactus can grow just about anywhere.  I'm from the gulf coast area, and we had fields and fields of wildflowers with cacti growing all around.  And swarms of mosquitoes from all the bayous and bays.  The main reason that Texas has such a vast amount of wildflowers is because of Ladybird Johnson and her conservation efforts.  Not only in Texas, but the whole nation, actually.

-Ugly thing-
This TSR creation by sim_man123 which is pwned by this:

-Pretty free creation-

A gorgeous flower set made by Macarossi, which you can find here.

What are those cactus doing in a "flower" pic? Or worst: What are does fugly "flower" things doing in the desert?

Not defending TSR fugly, but to answer your question, where I used to live in Texas, you would find wildflowers like that with cactus plants.  The flowers were usually what we called indian paintbrushes, black-eyed susans, buttercups and the state flower, the bluebonnet, to name a few.

Has MTS2 been taking lessons from TSR??

She tried, but the knit texture didn't look good going down the arm.  And changing the knit band on the end made it harder to distinguish the skirt from the leggings.  You can download the file here and the picture is at this post, if anyone wants it.

Truth time...the "friend" is actually my daughter and she was nervous about her first recolor.  She did want to thank everyone for the suggestions, they were a big help.

I love all the medieval stuff from Taroo and used all of it when I went thru my medieval Sim stage.

After all the suggestions, my friend came up with this:

She wants the satin skirt part to stay (it's based on a top she loves to wear), and tried different colors of leggings, but this looked the best.  Any more suggestions?  She will be doing an all sweater top with jean leggings next, but wants to get this one as good as she can first.

I passed on all the suggestions, she says "Thanks".  She doesn't know how to mesh (this was actually her very first recolor), but she is going to work on them a bit more.  Maybe make the whole sleeves with the sweater texture, and change the polka dot hose (I thought it was fishnet as well...LOL) to either solid leggings or make the dots match the color of the sweater.  And raise the skirt waistline a bit higher.

I need some feedback on this:

It's from a mesh by Carnaby Sims and made by a friend of mine.  Since I haz no skillz for making stuffz, I hoped maybe to get some suggestions here.

My kitty loves water.  She plays in the tub and will keep looking at the faucet until someone turns it on for her.  She bites at it coming down, drinks it, lets it splash on her head, chases the water down the drain, and then gets upset if you turn it off too soon.  She's deaf, and can't hear the water running or realize just how much noise she makes banging around the tub, so that might be why she likes it so much.  She also likes to catch snowflakes and raindrops.

I had chicken pox when I was about 6 weeks old, then somehow rubbed one of the last ones that was on my face and re-infected myself.  So then 21 years later, my niece gets them, and sure enough...I get them for the third (and thankfully LAST) time.  Didn't realize what it was at first, had to go to the doctor to find out.  The last time left a few scars but they're in places that can't be seen easily!  Both my kids got chicken pox at the same time, so I had a two-fer.

I also had rubella when I was about 6 months old (didn't need the shot when they came out with one in the 4th grade - I remember the teachers lining up all the kids in the hallways so we could all get the injection - but had to take it anyway).  As a precaution.  When I had my daughter get her last set of MMR shots before she started school, they told me that I had to have a booster since it had been so long ago.  Damn, that thing hurt!!!  And I couldn't complain with my daughter right there watching me.

But I will NEVER forgive my son when he got his last shots before starting school.  We were in the waiting room, he knew it was shots, but no problems.  He was calm, playing, being his usual happy self.  Then the nurse opened the door, called his name, and he screamed!  He locked his knees together and I had to push him from behind, with him screaming the whole way into the examination room, causing all the other little kids to get scared and start crying.  He screamed the whole time the nurse was setting up for the shot.  He screamed up to the moment that needle went in.  Then stopped and said "That didn't really hurt at all".  I wanted to drop kick him out the door!

We always made our hot toddies with tea, fresh lemon, honey, and  a goodly amount of Jack Daniels (black label).  After a couple of them, you don't care that your sick!
