Loud music is far from being the worst problem in my apartment building. We live in a noisy part of the city, very close to the airport; planes fly really low here. After a while you get used to hear them pass, though.

Last year my next-door neighbour woke up to Pink in max volume at 6 am like every single day. Sometimes she forgot to turn off the alarm clock on Saturdays and Sundays forcing us to wake up to Pink on weekends too. She moved out a few months ago, and I kind of miss her... comparing to the other stuff I have to put up with from my neighbours.

The only words I have to describe the two women that live below me are eco-bitches. Rabid vegans who are prone to harass you with gory panphlets about the inhumane treatment of animals in the meat industry and even fullblown insults to your face if you happen to be passing by chewing on a ham sandwich. They have hijacked another neighbour's pizza from the delivery boy, who believed they were the ones who called for it, and tossed it in the trash can _and then wanted a refund from the expense of hijacking said pizza_. They also complain because I cook with my windows open and they claim they can smell the cooked meat. They're completely nuts. For some reason they like my husband, who's a man that enjoys his steak, and they have given my son some kind of veggie cookies that he now loves, which was nice from then: it sure beats the chocolate/deep-fried snacks boys his age are into. Still, that doesn't excuse them meddling around other people's recycling/meat eating businesses. I would rather put up with any kind of noisy neighbours than to put up with _them_.

I am amazed and astounded by the fact that Peggy's latest masterpiece got such a chilly reception. I find it fantastic myself. I have put it in my game and played with it for many days at a time.
I am amazed and astounded by your uncanny skills of working the expression "amazed and astounded" in 99% of your posts.

About The Sims 3, I don't find myself tempted by it. I'm a bit of a control freak and the idea that other Sim families are carrying on with their affairs without me to supervise them while I'm playing a certain lot scares the bejeesus out of me. That and, agreeing with Light_Angel (and risking sounding like a 12), I don't think the Sims are pwetty enough. They don't look like humans nor like Sims, and there's something about their general eye area that is rather unsettling to me.

Those poor, poor teenagers in the creepy underwear. We must kidnap and rescue them.  Tongue

This is a genuine in-game shot of a simsconnection hair that doesn't look anything like what it's intended to be in the picture.

It's sad.

I have that hair in game, along with many other SC gems I've been meaning to delete. They all look atrocious and nothing like the preview pictures, but this one is one of my "favourites". That and the "medusa hair" that was already posted in this thread...

Myself I have no problem with thongs or strings (different from g-strings as in they have a small triangle of fabric connecting the actual string to the elastic), I even find them more comfortable to wear than fullblown panties. The way I see it, should the underwear be visible over the jeans line by accident - which tends to happen as I wear low-rise jeans - it won't look so bad. Whatever.

Now, for the whole wedgie sensation try brazilian boxers: there's more fabric going up there, if you know what I mean. You just can't miss it. xp

In the spirit of Peggycrap...

I mean... seriously? Is anyone really going to punish a male simmie by making him wear this? I get that some people like the girly style on men, but this fails even at girly. It doesn't _look_ like hair.

(in fairness the other colors are sort of acceptable... nothing I would download, but not as immensely hideous as the silver one).

Yep, that's Shauna Sand. She's on TMZ all the time. Nobody can look trashier than her.  Tongue

I beg to differ.  (sorta NSFW)

Good call! I could have sworn it was Richards. (has no idea who Shauna Sand is)

The kid looks totally embarassed by being seen in public with her. I thought they only started doing that in their teens.

Isn't that Denise Richards?

*hates self for knowing*

Talk about comfortable beach footwear...

*probably a bit late, but still:*

It made me cringe a little when OHJ said something to the effect of being saddened that everybody who posted on LDG's blog about being disappointed that she was going pay clearly didn't LUUURVE her like he did and just wanted her stuff for free. I can't even begin to understand that kind of logic: if people want her stuff it's because they LIKE her as a creator, right? Otherwise, it's just some more crap of the "feed the chilluns" category of arguments ("OMG! They're emotionally blackmailing her and taking the bread out of her mouth!").

I also want screenies, tomato you nutbag you  Kiss

I want to see the Thomas slime, will it come out of my monitor all gross like?
*takes out camera*

Like the ring? That movie wasn't scary, but the girl coming out of the TV kinda freaked me out a bit. Or was that one of the scary movie's I'm thinking of?
Yup, that was The Ring. Try watching the original version. If visual thrills are your thing you might think you didn't get your money's worth but the last 10 minutes make up for it. Still, I think the original's general atmosphere is what made it truly scary, the kind of movie that stays with you for days after you watched it.

At least Emma is recognizable. Chaz-fuglied beyond any repair but I could still say who it was. Now D.Radcliff... I know we P&L at photoskinning but that Sim has zero effort put on. That Goopy-lipped creature doesn't even share Daniel's anatomic traits. It could have been anyone.

I kind of like the dress the Emma thing is wearing. Don't kill me though.

You see, that was the impression I had. I'm not very schooled in the social dynamics of MTS2 or S2C but I always doubted that the mods patrolled the forums going "please don't post links to TSR/please don't refer to TSR" the way they do with booty links and mentions. I may be wrong; as I said, I know little about how those sites are moderated.
27  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: TSR Sharing your infomation! on: 2008 October 14, 21:18:22
@Karu: that's okay, I did the same thing this morning. When I woke up and checked on Paleo's journal and saw no entries I actually thought it had been reported and the entries removed (you know how 'the TSR comes in the NIIIIGHT!...').

I've been meaning to ask: if MTS2 is pro-free... what's up with the control on posts with the link to PMBD? I get that it may be pro-free but not pro-pirate, but it's still feels a little biased. Same goes for InSim.

Karu, are you logged in to InsaneJournal?

Completely off topic, but oi meninas! Que bom saber que há brasileiras a bordo do navio pirata Wink
There was a Brazilian site back on The Sims 1 days which had some of the prettiest furniture I've ever seen... they're not around for TS2 although I wish they were. If I recall correctly they were free, but they might have had some donation sets. I can't be sure about it, maybe I just ignored the donation sets as I couldn't pay for them. Also, isn't one of the creators in SimGuys Brazilian?

Giselle at Fashion show was Brazilian and she had donations before she closed the site, for TS2, to be honest I don't remember if she did for TS1.

Yes, that was the site I was thinking about. I didn't remember whether they had donation sets or not: they closed shop and I lost track of Giselle.

Arenaria has a Pescado voodoo doll? What the fuck is wrong with these people?

I know. When I read that I went, "Maturity. Arenaria haz it."
