Wow. Do these people make this stuff especially for freaky pedophile sim players?

I think that TSR specifically caters to pervy creeps.  Angry

Now this is just getting weird. The only content uploaded by Syndica at TSR is dated Nov 14th. A bunch of grass, not awful but nothing to rave about. I think someone is just plugging their little site. Nice that it's free, but we don't need all the 12ish drama.

That's what I get for being nice.

*throws a small stuffed animal at your head*  You're supposed to be the smart one!   Tongue

Nah, that can't be me.

hi everyone,

sorry if I angered everyone. I didn't know this is topic of syndica's new site should be in that under that topic. Admins you can remove my last two starter posts, I guess I should watch what i should post.

thanks and sorry.

Seraphira

Threads are almost never removed by admins Pescado.

It is good that Syndica is going free, I tried to get on to TSR to see her stuff, but couldn't.

Just settle down a bit, you'll do fine.

Hmmm, good point. I don't think anyone got after me for starting my Cyclonesue thread. I think that Seraphina rubbed people the wrong way by starting two new threads.

Sometimes we're a cranky bunch for no apparent reason.

Thanks for the info Light_Angel. Not to defend Rose in the slightest, but it should be pointed out that BlooM modified Poser meshes for his sexy feet. Of course, he gave full credit and they're free. Rose could have done the same. Unless they were completely identical, there is no way to establish that she took his feet and modified them.

This isn't the worst I've seen, but this is the item they have featured on their opening page. Just the thing to create a wholesome, PG-13 atmosphere and make parents feel good about letting their kids on the site.

Here's an entire category pwnage.

The ever creepy evi from TSR whose "all about children" byline makes me ill:

These are apparently "tough girls."

I know I'm a bit late to the subject but I wanted to pop in about the children with disabilities conversation.

I assist adults with mental retardation and/or developmental delays. I love my job. My guys live in a duplex and I come in for 10-12 hour shifts and help them with whatever they need. I have worked with people with violent behavioral issues, severe autism, cerebral palsy and other conditions. We work to help them find purpose in life and pursue it.

I worked with a guy with autism. He didn't speak and was very easily overwhelmed by other people. We discovered that he loved crushing aluminum cans and sort of helped him start his own business. We got containers and started collecting aluminum cans at our homes. He'd come over to our houses to pick up the cans, take them home, crush them and recycle them for a small amount of money. It was never a lot but it was a real job that he enjoyed and contributed to society.

I'm rambling. I just want to reassure you that there are caring people out there who will enjoy working with your child when they grow up. They will help them and they can have a full and meaningful adult life.

Back to lurking....

You're certainly full of win. I've worked with people with disabilities on and off for more than 30 years. It's so gratifying to help someone achieve their potential. I've learned not to assume anything about the future of any person with a given label. I love this article here:

http://autismforparents.wordpress.com/2006/05/08/24/

Being the parent of a child who isn't neurotypical (I love that term coined by autism activists) is tough, but just being a parent is tough anyway.
71  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Free Content Pwns Paysite Crap on: 2008 October 25, 16:55:24
What I was thinking when I started this thread was that we would take a pay item (not free items from paysites) and compare it to a similar free item from a free site. The pay item doesn't even need to be awful, just an item that has an equal or better free counterpart. No free Peggy, TSR or other paysites free items qualify as free alternatives or crappy examples IMO. It's like they don't exist. In TSR's case, they can always become pay later and with Peggy or others, the free items only exist to advertise the pay items.

It's a little different with XM sims though. They remain technically a paysite though I think it's more sloppiness than to lure subscribers. They stopped creating donation files more than 2 years ago, they promised to release all those files and began to, but never finished. They started releasing things to Simmer Valley (which you became a part of if you subscribed or uploaded a creation) first, then a month or so later to everyone else, though that seems to have stopped now. They are a good alternative to Peggy, even if they still have a handful of lame object and clothing pay sets. I can't believe anyone subscribes with the thought of getting those particular items. I don't have a problem with using them as free alternatives, but I understand the argument against it.

Stupid, corrupt TSR. What can I say? It's a wonder they still are up and running. I read over at N99, that their files are so borked you can't compressorize them or use Wardrobe Wrangler by jfade. I'm crushed to hear he's a TSR enthusiast. Is any of his stuff pay over there?

73  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Free Content Pwns Paysite Crap on: 2008 October 06, 04:03:11
All of XM sims hair is free. They did say they were going to release all their donation sets, and they have released many of them, but they haven't completed it. It's been more than 2 years since their last donation set, so they're almost free. I wish they'd just do it already.
74  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Exnem Sims Steals Sappire Sims 2 Meshers with lures of cash for objects!!! on: 2008 October 01, 02:44:26
Well they suck, period. Stupid drama whores. It's a pity they gave SS2 such grief.
75  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Free Content Pwns Paysite Crap on: 2008 September 18, 23:40:32
5000 people have Payed for that.

5000 people have downloaded it. You can download it for free when its on rotation, and with kudos points.  Wink So likely a lot of that number have downloaded it for free, not paid.

Nope, they don't rotate FA stuff anymore. 5000 paying customers downloaded that horrid hair. I think it may be the worst hair ever, and that's saying a lot.
