Yarr! Let's all thank Yaardarm Monkey, the jackskulled crock of cat vomit for taking time away from searching the Internet for shaved young Indonesian transvestites to spread Jesus' good word. Amen!

Did you know that Yaardarm Monkey's booty is the size of a goddamn tropical island? Only with more living creatures infesting it. HA HA!

And Célimène - an important part of being an adult is knowing when you're beaten.

The shame of that eats at me. It truly does. But Jesus loves me. That's all that matters.

By the way, assuming someone is generalizing, because according to your opinion, is... is another generalization as well.

Umm no it isn't, but thanks for trying to add to thread you retarded cocksocket. Yarr!

WooHoo! You're the queen of all the premenopausal bitchy AOLers. And your high school guidance counselor said that you'd get nowhere with your attitude.

Seriously though, Silvercoin you seem to care. That makes me feel good. You view me as a kindred spirit, don't you? And the Web brought our tortured souls together, right?
6  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / A question/suggestion to the moderators on: 2007 February 03, 00:58:50
Silvercoin: Well, I think you just tried too hard and overthought things a bit. A few misspelled words and a condemnation to Hell would have given this a more "real" feel. It sounds forced. Your opening and closing were nice, but the part in the middle just meandered into circular logic which well, made no sense. Could have done with a bit of editing too. Too wordy. M'kay? I can't properly argue with you if you don't present your opinions clearly. You get mad props for running it through spell check first though.

You sound like someone who thinks far too highly of herself and her place in the internet universe. All's not lost though always remember intelligence isn't finite. There's more than enough to go around, if one cares enough to grab a piece of it.

And, out of curiosity, how old are you?

I was shrill, whiny and boring when you were still in diapers, tIIsuggas.

I have found that most of the people in forums and chat rooms that are annoying and act juvenile are women over the age of 30.  I don't know why this is, but I find them to be more of an irritant than the kiddies.  Of course this is not always the case.  I do realize that folks of all ages can be annoying and ignorant.

Quote from: "The ISZ"
I don't agree with you now and never will. I did not make a gross generalization.

Those are your words ISZ. I haven't misquoted anything. You stand behind your words. Fair enough. Let's change a couple of words. It'll be fine though cause...

Quote from: "tIIsuggas"
This is my generalisation, it is my opinion. It is not a fact.

Rightyo then!

"I have found that most of the people in my neighbourhood and at my job that are lazy and promiscuous are blacks. I don't know why this is, but I find them to be less intelligent than the whites. Of course this is not always the case. I do realize that other races can be annoying and ignorant."

I'm NOT making a sweeping generalization of entire racial ethnic group. Why no, I merely expressing...

I don't want you to like me so you stating that everyone hates me means nothing.
I will not be told to keep quiet by anyone in this joint or any forum for that matter.

I honestly don't know where you read any of that crap. For someone who keeps trying to defend herself about making sweeping generalizations, you might want to be sure people actually say the things you allude to before you post.

That said.

Your quoted statements regarding YOUR personal experiences and over 30 year women in internet forums IS a sweeping generalization.

I'll explain.

You are generalizing about a population based upon a sample which is too small to be representative. If the population is heterogeneous, then the sample needs to be large enough to represent the population's variability. With a completely homogeneous population, a sample of one is sufficiently large, so it is impossible to put an absolute lower limit on sample size. Rather, sample size depends directly upon the variability of the population: the more heterogeneous a population, the larger the sample required.

Suppose that you are cooking a pot of spaghetti, and you fish out a single strand to test for doneness. If it is done, then you conclude that all of the spaghetti in the pot is done. Here, your sample is one strand of spaghetti, and the population is the entire potful of pasta. Have you committed the sweeping generalization? No.

People - Heterogeneous (consisting of many different variables).

Spaghetti - Homogeneous (meaning the same throughout).

A broad generalization occurs anytime the sample is not big enough to represent the population.

Deductive reasoning! Cheesy

Not exactly. More likely wishful thinking based on your favoured conclusion.

I know that you didn't actually read my post because you have noted that I said, "The ONLY way site owners can obtain remuneration from work is when their work benefits someone else willing and able to pay for that benefit."

I looked over the downloads at Sugary Sims and noted the page views numbered 2030. More importantly, I noted the sloppy amateurish quality of those downloads.

Most likely the subscription page didn't get removed due to community outrage, but rather lack of interest.

Meaning if no one wanted to pay for them. And clearly no one wants them for free. It's a zero cost to the site owner to take down the subscription page.

I suspect her recent announcement has little to do with a few snarky guestbook entries. Better to save face and generate a bit of community good spirit by appearing magnanimous in announcing it's removal.

I wish your presentation used less specious logic.
12  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / And again.. new paysite. on: 2007 February 02, 17:38:28
Seriously, what effect to this pay site do you intend to change by leaving rude comments in a guestbook? She can delete them faster than it took you to write them. Is the master plan to keep her so busy she can't muster the effort to make a mediocre over-priced skin?

Pay sites have and will continue to flourish quite nicely because of market demands. The reality is that "the market" consists of you and me, and every other person. It's made up of many thousands of individuals pursuing their own agendas and interests by engaging in voluntary transactions. The market has no controlling mind, nor does it have sentience of its own.

The essential feature that MUST be emphasized here is that these transactions between individuals are VOLUNTARY.

The ONLY way site owners can obtain remuneration from work is when their work benefits someone else willing and able to pay for that benefit.

The belaboured ad nauseum argument as to whether the EULA allows them to benefit is as IRRELEVANT today as it was back in 2001 when 8DS http://forums.thesimsresource.com/showthread.php?t=88183 was opening.

These sites operate laissez-faire in the eyes of EA and without injunction. Meaning that private initiatives (Sims sites both pay and free) and production (Custom content) is left best to roam free, without opposing economic or legal interventionism by EA beyond that which is perceived to be necessary to maintain true property rights.

Be they free or pay, end user custom content is good business for EA.

They FUCKING PISS me off.

Hyperkitty has contacted me personally asked that I extend her most humble apologies to the group (Intelligence, empathy, sincerity, and tolerance clearly ARE NOT her first language).

Hyperkitty wishes to express sincere remorse for the syphilitic puerile nonsense which has vomited forth from her atrophied brain and taken shape in her subliterate posts.

Hyperkitty has pleaded that the group please understand that this is not really HER talking but the booze and pills.

Hyperkitty pleads with your understanding due to the extreme difficulties she currently faces in her "real life" (it seems Hyperkitty's Daddy no longer thinks she has a purty mouth and resumed sleeping with her mother).

Hyperkitty hopes you will not misunderstand and continue to believe that she's an ignorant bratty douchbag fucktard,

She just posts like one.

Back on topic. Personally, I love b00bs.

Thank you ISZ, I stand both corrected and edified by your words. You've shown me the truth. Women over 30 truly are more annoying and juvenile. And I too, find them irritating.

15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / A NEW PAYSITE!!!! on: 2007 January 31, 19:55:42
Hey tinkrfreakenbell, have I ever told you what I really really hate?

Hypocrites.

Especially hypocrites with arrested intellectual development who employ cutesy user names on forum boards.

Hypocrites confidently smug in their feelings of moral superiority who self-appoint themselves the politically correct  forum police. Frankly, I think it's very elitist and assumptious (which BTW outside of My Space assumptious isn't actually a word) for YOU to decide  what OTHERS can and cannot dog.

YOU decided it's okay to dog the objects, the hair, the website. But YOU drew the line on spelling. Well, brat that's YOUR line not mine, not darkangel's.

Since I read that you only possess a smattering of intelligence (spatterings is not a word either. Is English your first language?) and today is my birthday, I won't let it tarnish the beginnings of our new friendship.

That said, nothing on the site looking appealing enough to test it in the game. It's all fairly derivative of works already available.
