Well yeah, there goes the meaning of every penny helps...

I'm just wondering, why are those poor souls who actually spend their time and their money indirectly blamed for being greedy and stuff because they dare not to think of PayPal's stupid fees?

Why is PayPal so popular anyway?

Not making a profit off of your business is not proof of not selling a product that you shouldn't be selling. All it is proof of is being a poor business person.

That point keeps bothering me... do you think that really all Paysite owners are legally registered as business-owners, at least in those places where it is required? Do they pay taxes? Do they do all the things a RL business owner has to do?

OK, make that "her policy has obviously expanded".

Wasn't Alice the lady who once had a very special idea of "donations" - putting up a post mail address and asking to send her any kind of postcards to show support?

If that was her... her policy has obviously changed.
6  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Shitty ebay idiots on: 2006 December 30, 01:29:01
As far as I remember, Maxis went to court against "That's Life" to stop its release. The result was a kind of comparison - the box cover had to be changed to non-Maxis-like graphics.

Every now and then, game magazines publish extra DVDs/CDs with custom content from various sites or even SimPe's installer, yet I think that's done with permission from the creators.

But Maxis/EA never really cared for the Ebay sellings, which go way, way back to Sims 1 ages.
Anyway, doesn't Ebay strictly forbid the selling of recordable discs oris that a national thing?

I somehow feel sorry for that poor baby ... I mean, I really can't stand children, but ... growing up with such a father and such views? Ewww.

When I save an image made in photoshop, the saved image is actually darker than it looked in photoshop when I view it in another program.
I think I accidentally changed some of the settings because it didn't use to be that way.

Sounds like the gamma correction you can adjust in the settings.

2 out of 3 JPEGs saved in Photoshop turn out corupted for me.
That's why I love PSP... though I save images in best quality there, then open and save them again in IrfanView with higher compression. I find it has a fairly better output than PSP, just my taste...

Umm, thanks. May be true if you add
13. "Get familiar with Milkshape"
14. "Ask your artist friend in ICQ"  Cool

Oh, and 15... "go and find the disc with Poser modells once received as a 'gift'"

In the spirit of Paysites Must Be Destroyed, I suggest reporting paysites who use Poser and other 3D modelers' meshes to the original mesh creator. It might not destroy a site, but maybe they will at least have to start paying royalties on the work that isn't theirs. And THAT might hit a few bottom lines.

Wouldn't that require that the Poser artists can get as hysteric as certain Sim "artists"?

From my experience, if you point a thief that they violate your perfectly legal right, those guys can turn the words in your mouth that in the end, you're the guilty one.

It's a bit frustating to see how some creators managed to ruin some beautiful looking Poser meshes.

What do you think? For a newbie in Milkshape, Maya or Max3D, would it be very hard to learn the converting technique?
14  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Stupid sheeple on: 2006 December 18, 23:19:05
Absolutely.

My example was popular in the GTA "community". Maybe it's still popular, I just don't care for those liars anymore.

I love the classic biggest-artist-on-the-web-at-least-I-think-so hint:
No other software than Photoshop is capable of resizing images and you must be burnt and tortured if you dare to mention some other tool.
