Wow, I love open plan buildings - and you figured a way to work that ductwork into things too, something I'm still fighting with.  It looks absolutely smashing.

And I love those swimsuits

Thank you everyone! I'm glad you're liking my plants pinky. Smiley Ah yes, I was very meticulous of the duct work, Soggy, and am still a little frustrated that the ductwork disappears when you don't rent a furnished apartment.

Missbonbon, what do you mean by "more color?" I'd like to know. I'm actually going for a minimalist approach here though, but I am open to suggestions.

Of if your going for minimalist then ignore my comment. I just thought you ran out of ideas. But by more color I just meant, well more color. Like blues and pinks and stuff, colored wallpaper, stuff like that. But if your going for minimalist then don't worry about it.  Kiss

Well, the cabin apartment lot is almost done. Same cabin I've posted before is shown- I changed things yet again! I think I'm happy with the way it is now...if I could just find a 2x2 coffee table. (And I think I might add 2 more chairs, even though these are meant for 1 or 2 sims.) I'm usually not one to match things, but I got to thinking and decided to make each cabin a different color. So, there's blue, green (my favorite so far), pink, yellow, red (not a deep red) and black/white...which I'm most likely changing because it's too modern looking- wanted orange, but my favorite sofa doesn't come in orange. The community area has a pool table, card table, easel and bathrooms so far- computers will be added along with whatever else fits. There's grills and outdoor dining areas. And the pond. I assume it will all work as it should??

Hmm..now that I look at it again, the rugs are getting changed.  Undecided

For larger rugs, I've taken to playing with the carpet flooring and the ctrl-f keys.  Can get some nice designs or lack there of, and it looks nice with wood flooring.

Watch this space.... Ohhhhhh...that's neat! Why didn't I know you can do that and are there any other nifty little tricks like that?

I say that because I have absolutely no idea what ctrl-f does and am going to go find out!

ctrl-f makes the floor tiles divide into quarters, so you can have more fine control over things.

 Cheesy  Thanks.

fway your plants are on MTS2 now.   I think they are extremely backed up.  I hope my bed doesn't take as long as your plants did.

Ok so I don't usually play show and tell but seeing as we're talking about apartments and all. Some of you may have noticed in Ask a Pirate I was having issues with my cheat file not allowing me to build up, anyway it's fixed (kinda) and I got back to work on my monster NYC co-op apt building. It's not completely finished and I may never actually use it but I'm having fun making it. It's 6 stories, 9 apts (I'll probably leave the top 2 floors empty with no access, just for the look) and a gym.

Le Christophe

Layout 2 apts and back The darker rooms are an office and the entryway corridor.

A couple of shots from inside. Kitchen/bath/living dining/bedroom/office/2 corridors.

More here, here, here, and OMG here

I had stairways originally but they were hogging space so I switched to an elevator. And ya the vehicles are just for looks. All essentials are in the lobby.

sorry for being a space pig, it won't happen often

Ooooh, want that Lennon pic... Love Lennon. Love the Beatles. Ok, I'm done drooling for now. I'd actually like the picture of Monroe, too, now that I think about it.
