I tried to learn languages when I was younger. I took Japanese in high school and Spanish in college. I can only speak very little either... with terrible pronunciation. Calculus was no problem, but languages? Gah. Only test I've ever failed in my life was in Japanese. I wish I was better at it... I'm very jealous of my roommate who speaks fluent Spanish.

I don't see Sims 3 being enough better than Sims 2 to make it worth it. And if it is as good as it needs to be to seem interesting, the specs are going to be prohibitively high. So, either way, I'm probably just going to stick with Sims 2 for quite some time.

Wow, I quit the sims for a couple months and missed everything! Aikea, I've been a fan of yours since before you were an FA. I had a subscription to TSR for awhile, solely because I wanted your creations... totally fits my style. I wish I could buy them in real life and wear them myself. Wink And now you've broken free from TSR, and your new site looks great, and everything is golden. I'm looking forward to the stuff you and Gelydh make in the future, and as soon as I get my new computer and can reinstall the sims, I'm gonna be at your site downloading all of it.

Man, I can't play Bon Voyage (or Seasons or Pets) on my laptop, and I was actually thinking about buying a new computer just for the sims. Not anymore. For the first time ever I'm glad I have a sub-par machine. (Although, it really is a very good laptop in all other respects... just not built for gaming.)

Perhaps a dumb question: How does using free download manager cost them over 40 GB in bandwidth? Are people setting it up wrong or does it always do that?

I just watched the fashion show... and my computer thought it was so horrid that it sputtered and died and I had to force a restart. Those are some bad, bad clothes.

TSR has a thread open right now about pirates. It hasn't really been that much of a debate... so far, it's pretty much been pirates bad, TSR good. But since no one else has mentioned it, I thought I'd link it here.
