I have no problem with people burning my Sim in effigy for my souping from booty duties and even for my attempting to burn the phorum down two months before that. As far as I'm concerned, you don't owe me an apology for what you did to the forum, again, because I wasn't here then. That's something you have to settle with those who were.
There were a lot of lies spread about me after I souped. Unfortunately, some will choose to believe them no matter what I say, and others either don't care or believe me when I say the opposite is true. |

That is true. There would just be no phorum. Right. I stick by that. When the phorum first started, it was a cesspool of stupidity. There was a lot of cool people, but the rest were blathering idiots who would spam up the forum as fast as they could. I started up a different forum which was also pretty cool, but when I left the Sims community (aka "Souped"  ), I deleted it rather than let Pescado take control of it. I have seen your help over at MATY, calling people stupid and here, accusing people of modding-while you try to mod. Thanks, but I will skip any help from you.
You should see all the people I *don't* call stupid, people who truly deserve it! Besides, that's MATY, where people expect it. As for calling people on trying to mini-mod - hey, I calls it like I see it. There was no need for anyone to get all foul-mouthed and defensive about it. The thing is, I actually have always quite liked Darqstar, from the BBS to her TSR days to here. My poking her about being a mini-mod was exactly that - poking her. |

I have never posted an official apology anywhere, this is true. I tend to not post *that much* on forums at all anymore, except to try and help. Two years ago, I fucked up and made a mistake. I deleted the phorum, because it was overrun with trolls and it was sucking, at least to me. It was back up within ten minutes, with not too much loss. I never tried to delete the booty - hell, along with Surelyfunke, I STARTED the booty. Pescado may [have] host[ed] it, but he did not start it. I went away for two years and got better in the meantime. I'm not nearly as reactional now. And I've said it was wrong in #grah, which is where I talk the most. But, all that being said, I did soup two years ago and then I fucked your mom. So ya know, celebrate that and burn in effigy. |

Masters of dredging up the past, huh? She obviously made mistakes. But so did EA, way moreso than Burpie ever did. And isn't EA who we're all supposed to be mad at?  I for one hope they either enforce the EULA, or willfully ignore it on ALL fronts, both pro-pay and pro-booty. |

Out of respect of Burpie and yourself, whether or not the Maxoids gave her false information to say on the boards, she was let go for her abusive language to other simmers. To me, it wasn't the miscommunication that Burpie had with anyone but her comment about usb cables that got her thrown under the bus.
I can't say everything that happened, but I know she can be hot-headed and I don't doubt she got out of line. I feel sorry for most of the SimMasters having to put up with all that EA bullshit. |

I provided the screenshot for my assertion, my very own pictorial fact of my exact recollections, which match what she said at the time. So I don't intend to suddenly act like that wasn't what she said, no matter how many revisions are now made to the public statement she made to everyone.
I don't intend you to. Nor is she making a statement now, this is what *I* am saying. I have no doubt she said that at the time, and she may have even believed it. After all, EA did put that information together for her. I'm just saying, the SimMasters (all of them) were not in the wrong there, EA was pulling at their puppet strings the entire time. I think I've said all I need or want to say on this. |

The point still stands that SMs are not untouchable - nor are BBS mods. Having been one of the well behaved people who was generally threatened with a ban for mentioning my SecuRom problems, I don't agree, and have screenshot evidence of her post where she said the *exact* opposite - that she wasn't in fact towing a company line:  Can't have it both ways. She has had a lot of fucked-up opinions in the past, which I have disabused her of, but I know for a fact she was indeed toeing the company line with the SecuRom shit. She got caught up in it, not knowing anything about technical stuff, and purely echoing what EAxis told her to say. She came off looking stupid, but believe me, she was merely parroting what she was told. |

As for taking a BBS mod's word - well, that's sorta like SMBurpie, whose abusive and absolutely wrong SecuRom advice I screenshotted at the time and sent along to the SecuRom class action people.
Unfortunately, SimMasterBurpie was only following orders given her by the Maxoids. And when it blew up, they threw her under the bus as a sacrifice. She's a very good friend of mine and she was not happy about any of it. |

And personally I can quite understand why he’s peeved about that one item of his ending up in The Booty. I think it’s out of order too, which I’ve said before.
I never thought it was cool either, which is why it didn't make it into the booty when I uploaded items. And at the time, Pescado agreed with me. No idea why Pescado has changed his mind now. |

Good luck with that petition. EA's never paid a lick of attention to them before, so I'm doubtful they'll start now. If it didn't make them do a double-take with the SecuROM online petition, I doubt a boycotting petition will either. A snail-mail letter however will do the trick. If only enough people would do that!
The petition and all signatures will be printed and mailed on March 31, 2009. |
