It looks like they actually removed the mesh.

I just want to say that I really appreciate all the people who've come forward and defended my TOU on this. I admit, I'm not as angered about it as I could (or, perhaps should) be. I'm just detached, I actually had planned on leaving the community for good, but yeah. Doesn't always work that way huh?

I don't expect Coconut or anyone to do any intense searching or write an article about it; it's tiny. It happens all the time on the EA Exchange, and about all I really can do is ask people to remove what they've stolen/reposted/used without permission, and hope they do. In this case, it looks like it's all cleared up, for which I'm thankful.

So, for now, don't panic. And thank you.

To be fair, this really doesn't qualify as a horrific TSR atrocity. The perpetrator is not even a high-ranking TSR member such as an FA, but merely a nameless user who is *12*, and sites can hardly be held responsible for the misbehavior of random users. The atrocity will lie in how this is handled, not in the act itself. Dumbass 12s do shit like this all the time. That's why 12s must be destroyed.

Agreed, not an atrocity whatsoever, the only truly shitty thing about it is where it's happening.

I'm curiously not as concerned as I probably should be, nor am I letting any of this get to me (as I'm sure it probably could've in the past).

You've piqued my interest with the destroying of 12s, however. This I can handle with great joy.

Oh I'm way ahead of you guys. My password -and- my email I use at TSR are totally different. In fact, the e-mail is no longer valid. I should change it to a valid one, but I'll pass for now.

It was PMed to me earlier this evening, I believe (or that's when I got it, anyways). I'm just shocked that anyone cares about my crap enough to do that.

As far as I'm concerned, they're not really messing with me necessarily, but Peggy and Gelydh. I just put the two together and tested them, like I've already said. Had I known this would happen, I wouldn't have shared the mesh in the first place. This is the second problem I've had with it so far. I guess I just wasn't meant to be able to retire from the community happily.

ETA: I agree. It isn't half as bad as it could be. But it still sucks.

Well, consider this the first stage of the implosion of the inSim. Get ready folks, put up your blast shields, and for goodness sake DON'T DRINK THE WATER!

In other news, I still have Hard Delete permissions. I just get Database Errors when I try to delete threads.

Well, the site's down again - for me, anyway - so I can't see what's up with that.

He must have found the FAIL button.

Yeah, the admins were stripped of their positions for no reason. I emailed him asking for an explanation. We're supermods, but we can't see the moderator discussions anymore. I wonder if he just deleted them? It wouldn't surprise me at all.

I just wish he'd give up and leave shit alone.
7  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Insim under new management! on: 2008 November 28, 21:54:46
No, we Admins do not have FTP access. Kathy made sure of that.

If this asshole wants to ban us naysayers, he's definitely not going to have anyone to fork over their cash. He may as well just delete the whole site cause NOBODY likes him.

I got all my crap out and deleted my section. Monica (Mohicantunes) may have me delete hers too, since I backed it all up. I'm not sure this Walt idiot knows where the Staff section is, but he really needs to locate it and start a dialogue with the staff and creators.

Some of the Staff and Creators are going to stay on the log ride, even after all the water has dried up, but I'm not going to push them down the slide.

I sent a message to Kathy on Myspace. She's likely to not answer, but whatever. Fuck it.

And nice work, Pescado; I couldn't have done better myself.
Nuking things seems to be the only productive thing I've done lately.

Aside from how this effects Paden, I have to agree. I am curious about Squinge though. Does anyone know if he'll be leaving Walt Dismaland?

Squinge hasn't decided what he's going to do yet, but I'm sure we'll all know soon enough.

$3200 in $500 going out.  $2700 income a month /  $32k a year.  So are Eric and Kathy a couple (do they live together with that shared income), or are they splitting that, and did they have any other jobs?  Again if people think they ran Insim fulltime without getting a paycheck....its a little naive. You can't pay for a house and food with Simoleons.

They're married. As far as I know, Eric has a job, too. It makes -no- sense.
12  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Insim under new management! on: 2008 November 27, 23:41:00
Haha, Paden; I think we already know the answer to that without thinking twice about it - HELL NO!
13  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Insim under new management! on: 2008 November 27, 23:06:24
It's really bizarre how these people, whom I was "friends" with most of, all of a sudden magically left.

I just wonder if the only reason they got Squinge back is so they could sell the site for a higher profit.
14  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Insim under new management! on: 2008 November 27, 22:17:55
Nouk - I'm not sure; I think Nymphy would know better than I. I would hope they get their own site, though!
15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Insim under new management! on: 2008 November 27, 21:49:56
I got them both, Nouk and SoggyFox.

I'm just sorry it had to come to this. It's not fair for any of us, especially since Kathy and Eric made it seem like I was one of their friends. Truth be told, I'll miss them both, but I'm so pissed at them right now I don't think anything they could do or say would change my mind.
