What does this mean?  Are you requesting these?

It looks to me that they're requesting these, but without putting it into so much words (so they don't get in trouble).

However, I could be wrong.

hey no no i'm not requesting anything, I just like the hairstyles that's all!! lol

honestly though, i'm just joking around.
it's more of an intro post, because I just signed up/found out about this place and I wanted to say hello. My name is Kris. I'm a boy. I think this place just kinda rocks.  :)

Those poor Simmies!  It looks as though a rabid weed-whacker attacked their hair mercilessly!

I like the first one! The other one is not manly enough.

(Guys, don't friggin shave your chest OR genitals btw. We don't want to feel like we're looking at 13 year old overgrown boys *yuck* Manyly men ftw!)

I kinda like both. Well except for the colours and textures, and the fact they're from Raon means they're probably not binned.

So many of the male sim hairstyles look alike these days. These are just two more to make your guy sims look like Mrs.Partridge.

Me too likes the first one. Compared to my female Sims, my Guys really don't have so many hairstyles to choose from. I'm glad I just got those two wonderful new meshes by Nouk :)

I saw it last night when I was checking Bines Sims Revue (http://www.binessimsrevue.de/finds2/1finds_thesims2_rb_18_06.htm) before heading off to sleep.  So I guess I haven't been looking for it all that long, lol.  I just wasn't sure how quickly items come into the booty having just discovered it recently.  Awesome site and love the philosophy behind it!

Marhis, that pic is so gross I just had to laugh.  My husband is sitting next to me on his computer and looked at me like I'd lost my mind, especially after he saw what I was laughing at!

Erm.... thank you, Mahis, for the graphic example. Excuse me, I just threw up a bit in my month.

shahbahbahnah: you have a pass...? i don't get it, only gay man may shave? Surely i prefer my d00d hairy (no, Mahis, not like that), but I wouldn't think there was anything wrong with him if he prefers to deforest

I'm crying from laughing too hard.
I think I stared at that pic for a full minute.  It's jaw dropping.
I could never be intimate with someone like that.  The experience would be too close to beastiality.  And imagine the shedding.

Ooh, you're absolutely right! I have been looking for a decent 10th Doctor hair for ages, and maybe with a bit of tweaking this one will do. Of course, if you DO make a sim of Tennant, I'd love to see it. I've been trying to do the 9th and 10th Doctors, Rose, Martha and Jack for awhile but I just can't seem to get them right, I suck at making sims of real people.

liegenschonheit, you changed your avatar! :)  I like my men to look like men, but I do prefer less hair on the chest.  Haven't gotten any hairballs either. LOL  Guess there is a certain way to avoid them? ;)  I do not think I would like the feel of a dude being hairless everywhere.  It would kind of creep me out.  But I also prefer facial hair too.

I'm not big on super hairy men, but I don't think they need shave it all off either. I guess all I ask for is for good hygene and some consideration for the woman who sees (and feels) him naked. After all, thats what they want from us, right?

I used to watch the old series religiously on PBS every saturday night.  The new series is alright, but to my eye, they seem to have gotten rid of the whimsicalness of the Doctor.

Not saying the new series is bad, its good enough, its just a far darker series then the original.

Did I ever mention the dream I had with me running around in a tar....

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Anyerfillag on 2007 June 19, 12:21:21
The news series has had it's dark moments, but I don't think it can get any darker then when Sixth tried to kill Peri (by strangulation) after he regenerated from #5 in "The Twin Dilema"

Well, I watched the first episode after Davidson changed.....and promptly forgot to watch after that.  I did not like the 6th doctor at all, he was.....well, bad casting, and I'll hold to it - McCoy on the other hand was a good doctor.

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Anyerfillag on 2007 June 19, 12:29:44
I'm undecided about #6; I've not watched enough to make my own decision. The Doctor I was introduced to first by my dad was John Pertwee, who along with Peter Davison are my favourites.

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Kraken on 2007 June 19, 12:45:38
I'll go along with Jon Pertwee as one of the best doctors in the whole series and yes I agree,  the present Doctor Who's are darker.

Anyone briefly remember the film they made, a good few years ago now, with that millenium clock in it?  Rumour then was the re-birthing of the Doctor Who series'.  Took them long enough to accomplish it.

Out of all the Sci Fi series that have been on TV I am still a Babylon 5 fan despite its demise. :

I have a bunch of free Sim skins at TSR.  My username is naceygirl.  I *just* finished a beautiful Martha Sim, (If I DO say so myself), I'm so freakin' proud of it.  Here's a link to my downloads at TSR:

http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/cmid_1515838/sims2/sims/

Martha isn't up yet, I only did her last night.  (That sounds wrong bwahaha).  I'm not entirely happy with the messy mesh for Tennant, so seeing that other one, it's very apt for this season.  Again, if I can get rid of the shaggy bits on the side.  :T  You reckon it can be alpha'd away with little problem?

Okay, enough of me swerving this thing ENTIRELY off topic.  And before I get any spankings for having my stuff at TSR, I'm kinda pirating lots of perfectly good bandwidth off them.  I'm not sure what the stance is on that here. :)

Davidson is the first Doctor I remember from my childhood but until the new series started McCoy was the one I'd seen most of, and Ace is still my favourite companion of all time. I don't mind the newer darkness both Who and Torchwood seem to have gone in a bit of a Buffy direction which I'm not against and the latest series has had loads of awesome episodes like Blink with the statues.

I prefer Martha to Rose - I might have to look up your stuff madbonney I'm crap at doing female celeb sims. As for TSR while I'm not against the people on it, even the free creators serve a purpose as far as getting them money is concerned - Fansee @ MTS2 wrote a journal entry on why here (http://www.modthesims2.com/journal.php?do=showentry&e=1517). Also keep in mind that they ban people for what they say on other boards this one included and that if they do you'll have to fight to get your stuff removed. Insim will happily host your stuff as will MTS2 and they won't hold it hostage.

Back to the sci-fi Kraken I <3 B5 as well and Soggy Fox I also love Red Dwarf, hopefully one day they'll make a film like they've been saying they will for the last 10ish years.

Oh, and I have an ex-fling/crush/love/something who insists on waxing depressive about being hairy. I tend to just tell him that he's not nearly as hairy as my dad (not as bad as the pic either) and to get over himself. Now I have something to show him what truly beastly looks like.

You betcha - i has a tardis too - I got the boxed set tardis of series 1, and plan to get the cyberman head of series 2 in July (when it's released here).  I even belong to a make your own real life dalek forum - with instructions on how to make a working robotic dalek.

I haven't seen the new Doctor Who series 3 - it comes out next week here.  My fave old doctor (only because he was my first) is Tom Baker, and I love both the new series - the new doctors are more connected, and there's a real sadness about them both that I like.

I like Star Trek, but my favourite other sci-fi show that's joy of joys re-running at the moment is Lexx (as if you can't tell by my latest publications on site  )

Isn't the new incarnation of The Master just brilliant? I love that in those first moments of regeneration he was just so Doctorish for a moment with the 'new voice' bit. I also was so pleased with the way they introduced him first as The Professor, which just goes to show you how brilliant and good the man could have been, if he forgot his ambition and selfishness. Was anyone else on the verge of tears with what he did to Chantho? Geez. Way to show that The Master is back.

I love Martha very much, she's smart and tough and she can hold her own shoulder to shoulder with The Doctor. Rose was a bit of a damsel in distress from time to time, but she was the one who pulled The Doctor back and reminded him of the humanity in situations. I can't really say which I like better, but I was afraid of what was going to happen without Rose, and Martha is more kick ass than I could have hoped.

As for the new show not being as whimsical, I don't find that being the case. There are many moments when the ninth and tenth doctors have their quirky, whimsical natures (especially tenth, who is a bit less dark). The Doctor himself has changed though, the beginning of the first season showed a Doctor who was bitter and a bit broken by the Timewars and the loss of the Timelords. As his companion, Rose was really the one that pulled him away from the brink, so to speak. The Tenth Doctor still has that dark streak, especially after the loss of Rose, but is much more likely to do things for the sheer hell of it.

The movie with the Eighth doctor...err.. Don't watch it (well, do watch it, but don't take it seriously for a second). It really isn't good, it's just silly. It takes place in America and Billy Zane is The Master.

Anyway, yes, I've babbled forever and I will go to check out those sims on the evil TSR right now. I have got to get my hands on Captain Jack!

[geek]Not Billy Zane, Eric Roberts.[/geek] It's not brilliant but Paul McGann was pretty in it and I'm shallow like that.

All I can say it DITTO! Everything you said is exactly what I think, and said in a more eloquent way  I liked Rose to begin with but she got too whiney and clingey for my tastes in the second series. Martha just kicks ass and I like her much more that Rose.

Good to know I'm around Martha enthusiasts!  I'll let you know when I get the Sim of her uploaded (I'm still picking up the pieces of my decimated downloads folder!  *sobs*  Anyone got a collection of spunky tops?  I just want to have some mixables, damn it, but everyone makes meshy couture dresses or ugly crap!  Damn it!).

I'm very, very glad people are enjoying Jack.  Jack needs to be enjoyed, he lives for it I think.  :D

Though I must say, when our Captain Jack met the real Captain Jack... that was pretty damn hot. Best kiss on TV, ever.

Why did they have to push back Torchwood? *sob*

You might check out Aikea_guinea's tops for women, they are normal kind of tee-shirt tops, long sleeved everyday stuff, that kind of thing. Stuff people actually wear.

Seconding the HP fanseefem stuff love and this outfit (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=226528) recolored would be perfect for Martha.

Captain Jack is just an equal opportunities manslut. I'm so glad he cheered up as soon as he rejoined the Doctor, Torchwood Jack was a little too miserable.

Oh lord, I found where I really belong! I love Doctor Who, at least up until the point where the fifth Doctor came in... I had a hard time with that one from watching the series "All Creatures Great and Small", just could not reconcile that man in both roles, sorry. Hate Colin Baker as the sixth Doctor, he sucked wind... Didn't have much time to watch Sylvester McCoy, but from what I did see of him, he was great. Paul McGann in the movie did a bang up job on the script handed to him, plus he was/is easy on the eyes. He does over the top acting quite well, which is how many of the men playing the part portrayed the role. I would very much liked to have seen it continue, but you know how they do these things.... Get the hopes up and them smash them to hell. And I finally got to see the Doctor plant a lip lock! Yeah, call me a sci-fi geek, I don't give a good damn... I also love Red Dwarf, specially the role played by Danny John Jules. I can see why he was tapped to play the Rum Tum Tugger in the West End production of CATS all those years ago, he can move! Another Brit sci-fi love is Blakes 7. That one is dark and angsty and I wish Terry Nation hadn't have kicked the bucket! But back to the good Doctor, I seriously wanted to catch K-9 between two ends of downed power cable, just to see how the little fucker would take it...

As for how I like my men... Smooth chest to moderate peltage on it. Hair on the legs? No Wookies! As for the treasure trail leading to what I am interested in, please keep it trimmed cause while I'm down there I don't want my poor nose to tickle, making me sneeze and endangering Dick and the twins who live below. I keep my playground trimmed, so keep yours the same! Shaved can be nice, but stubble kills... Painful!

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: liegenschonheit on 2007 June 19, 19:04:03
Aww, you don't like K-9, eh? He isn't really in the new series at all, he was in one two-parter when Sarah Jane runs into The Doctor again. It was nice to see them all together again, even briefly. K-9 was a brighter spot than watching Sarah and Rose snipe at eachother, even if it is perfectly reasonable that they would do so, given that they are/were in love with the same man and all.

I wanted to smack Rose for being so horrid to Sarah Jane.

Also, Sgoobysnacks at Insim made a K-9 sculpture to decorate the game, sadly he doesn't move or bark. Wouldn't it be cool if someone figured out how to make a dog look like him? Heh.

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Paden on 2007 June 19, 19:23:44
I loved K-9! I just wanted to see what all of that power surging through his circuits would have made him act drunk or if he would have shorted out or what... Just curious about that kind of thing. I think something similar happened in the Invisible Enemy, but can't remember. I ought to drag out the book I have of it and see. Sarah Jane was a riot! So was Leela, always the elemental savage... *sigh* I hate being 42...

Paden, I completely agree with you about Tristan. Peter Davidson will never be anyone else for me. How could they expect anyone to take him seriously? After Tom Baker we got that twat! Someone wasn't thinking clearly that day. He ruined the Doctor for me I couldn't watch it anymore (although I was young enough to be scared watching Tom Baker who is allegedly an arsehole in RL).
OOT
Was watching BBC tonight and they said something about Amstel and Barrowman's "gay-off" (from Buzzcocks?) which I didn't see but sounds like a hoot. HAHA I found it! (http://youtube.com/watch?v=7LbmdBWw8y4&mode=related&search=)
I don't really like Torchwood but I do find Barrowman amusing if a little OTT.

Doctor Who lovers!

I completely ignored this thread after my last comment...but I'm happy now.

David Tennant is so pretty. And I really like Martha too. Christopher Ecclestone was good in a different way and I liked Rose. We were wondering how Martha was going to be in replacement but she's pretty good, I like her.

Can someone explain to me who The Master was in the previous series? I know he's evil and I know he was a Time Lord too, but that's all I know--my parents won't explain. I'm so excited for tomorrow's.

And I literally squeed when Captain Jack came back!!

...*hyperventilates* Please explain??

And how do you think they'll stop the Master...? Will they use Jack's spacehoppery thing?

(Can someone tell me what happened in the second half of the Doctor-being-human-marrying-that-girl episode? We missed that one and we would like to know what actually happened. The only person I know who watches it said, "No, no, nothing happened. No marriages, no kids, you're talking rubbish. Anyway, I don't remember what happened so don't ask." And that's helpful, of course...)

The Master is the Doctor's arch-nemesis this wiki article goes into more depth: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_%28Doctor_Who%29

Captain Jack has his own more adult series Torchwood (anagram of doctor who innit) set in sunny Cardiff - this blog covers most of the episodes in macros: http://nostalgia-lj.livejournal.com/tag/lolwho

In one of the last episodes Jack went back in time and bumped in to the guy whose name he nicked and ended up kissing him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2XLIB9Spvo

In the two parter one the Doctor opened the watch eventually but had a flash forward to what his life could be like if he'd stayed human. He then sorted out the family: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlJn9h7DPIo

Let's just say I wouldn't want to get on his bad side.

Only on more day...oh please oh please hurry up!

I bought the Radio Times yesterday with an interview with Russell T Davies; this bit towards the end cracked me up:

Quote
You can't beat a legendary rivalry - this one even split over into real life, when Tennant and Simm compared gadget screwdrivers. Davies recalls. "David said it was outrageous to discover that John Simm's was bigger than his screwdriver. Truly. I was getting texts from him: 'Have u seen the size of [Simms] laser screwdriver?'"

 Boys and their toys ;)

Please, tomorrow, come soon...

The kiss is even better in context. It's quite an episode, and it builds to it. It also explains how Captain Jack acquired the name of another man. I recommend Torchwood, but just be warned it is racier and alot more preoccupied with sex than Doctor Who. Which is pretty much perfect for Jack. except he doesn't really get any action. Well, cept for Ianto, and he's pretty adorable.

Oh, this is a sad day indeed. I should have known he was too good-looking to be straight.

I've only seen the Ecclestone Dr. Who's since that is all that has been aired here. I instantly fell in love with Captain Jack, because he was so fabulously bi. I never would have thought the actor was gay. I guess that is why it is called acting.  ;)

Oh horray! I've been trying since yesterday to find that song! I loved Mrs Saxon dancing to it as well, how perfect for The Master to find a companion as manically unhinged as he is.

Kind of off topic, but a lot of gay men I've known have admired breasts. I've been complimented on them many times, though that one takes some getting used to. It's a little different than when straight men like breasts, its more like having an admiration for an accessory or something.  I do agree about Captain Jack, part of his charm is that he'll nail anything that moves.

I like Raon's hair. I do. I like her hair better than most custom hair.

My only complain is that her male sim hair kinda... all looks the same.

I'd like if she made some long, pretty hair. But all he men have short or shaggy hair.. not long or wavy. (then again... no sites have good looking long wavy male hair..) I found some.. but very few. I keep having to gender switch and mesh edit female hair!!

But since I'm tv less I have to wait and source it from the net afterwards   so I'll be back to hopfully declare my love for the finale and everyone in it later. The fact that it's my birthday (24 in Pescado years) plus I got exam results yesterday (and passed yay!) means it may be a very drunken love.

I'm here in the US, and they play Doctor Who on sci-fi channel. I've watched a few episodes, but couldn't really get into it. I like to watch Battlestar Galactica and Stargate instead. I did like the few episodes of Doctor Who that I saw. I should probably give it another go.

You so should. I don't think they've started showing this season of it over there yet and since it starts with a new companion it would probably be easy to get into. Then you will be addicted like the rest of us mwhahaha!!!

Minolia, just an OT question, but do you know how a dairy farmer fights?? The husband works on a dairy farm and he told me that when the owner gets pissy, he'll throw a wad of cow shit at someone if they're being a royal fuck off... It's nasty! I'm just glad I don't have to wash the clothes any more, they have uniforms now...
ANYHOO, back to topic! I'd still love to see Paul McGann, I loved his work in that laughable movie. Sometimes, I'll get drunk and watch it just for the giggle factor... Wonder how much I'd have to pay for a copy that hasn't been nicked from the SciFi channel.... hmmmm, gonna have to see about getting a legal copy some day, I guess...

Actually, while I am really really glad that a US channel DID pick it up, I hate watching it on sci fi. There are two reasons, really. One, they are kind of constrained by where they have to place commercials, and sometimes it really fucks with the timing, and two the person who makes previews for the next episode should be shot. Instead of showing the BBC previews, sci fi insists on making their own and they often show the freaking climax of the show. So lame.

If you don't like Doctor Who, well, err... You suck. Okay, not really, I guess it isn't going to appeal to everyone. I really hate the new Battlestar Galactica myself, though I have friends that adore it to bits. One friend of mine has actually met the creators of that show and was over the moon.

Today is the day. I am waiting oh so patiently (read: impatiently) for MadMartha to post the latest episode. I needs more Master. And I can't wait to see Martha kick more ass!

liegenschonheit I second that 'Do Not Want' - but there is to be announcements about next series from Monday - Wednesday on the main site I believe :D

Minolia I made one, but not sure if it's any good. I have it wondering around as Saxon and as Sam Tyler; they are yet to meet

Post by: calalily on 2007 July 01, 14:36:01
I just saw the first episode after the Christmas special yesterday, and I have to agree that Martha is very cool.

The only spoiler I have seen so far is the word master - don't enlarge if you don't want the spoiler (I've tended to scan to avoid spoilers rather than read, so that's why I only have one word).  It's a bit of a bugger we don't have spoiler tags here, but size will have to do.  That particular spoiler, I am quite looking forward to, as I remember him of old.

I loved the Christmas special though - poor sad doctor just brings out the mummy in me. I particularly loved the flying TARDIS scene.  I can't wait because season 2 is being released here in the special limited edition cyberman head box set this month, so I will be buying.  I already have the TARDIS, and so my kids don't attempt to kill each other in a battle to the death when I die, I'm getting the cyberman one too.

Aww, okay. No spoilers. I'll just say I still love Jack anyway >.>

And I'm tempted to write the writers an angry letter about that other thing. How could they?? I hear rumours about Torchwood though.

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Anyerfillag on 2007 July 01, 18:13:36
If you're going to write a letter about the other thing, give it till Wednesday at the latest; the audio commentry for this episode on the Doctor Who website states that there will be news and announcements about this issue and about Series 4.

And I saw the first three episode of Torchwood when it was on here in the UK - didn't like it one bit.

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Minolia on 2007 July 01, 18:44:06
I kind of like Torchwood for the sheer cheese factor; that and it encourages me to go round doing a fake welsh accent which pisses off my actually welsh father. It was imporoving by the end of the first series hopefully the new series in January will be better. I'd say episodes 5 & 8 plus the last two the series were the best IMHO.

I'll be waiting for the announcements next week because the ending was not what I was hoping for. Maybe in the break Martha can learn to do CPR properly, episode 1 nitpick.

And I also still love Jack it's just the whole revelation yesterday seemed contrived at the last moment, rather than carefully plotted out and hinted at like most of the other series arcs.

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: liegenschonheit on 2007 July 01, 20:09:09
I like Torchwood. Except Owen, mostly, though Fight Club Owen was great. Oh, and sometimes Gwen is really freaking annoying. And really, Ianto is adorable, after you get past his emo crying over Lisa, his ex-cyberwoman girlfriend. The one thing that kind of turned me off was all the dealing with sex and bisexuality. But that kind of tapers off a bit, or maybe you just get used to it.

I didn't care much for how they presented the revelation, Jack who doesn't like to talk about his past suddenly talking about being a posterboy before he was recruited to be a time agent. But other than that, I think it definitely works. I mean, in Torchwood Jack very nearly dies for real from expending too much energy. In Gridlock, the Face dies from expending too much of his energy keeping the lower city alive. It all fits, really. And now that you know, go back and watch the end of Gridlock again, it's much more poignant now.

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Minolia on 2007 July 01, 21:52:42
Well the revelation works in the context of Gridlock, but I don't think they'd decided to do that to Jack until they wrote this series which means the two earlier times the doctor bumped into the face it had no hint of what was to come. Not like the bad wolf thing or Saxon both of which they'd obviously plotted for and dropped hints about for ages. It also makes me sad that captain Jack wasn't hitting on the cat nuns or anything else with a pulse. And I agree getting Jack to suddenly become really chatty was quite a clunky way of doing the reveal.

Torchwood wise I think Ianto is sweet, I also like Tosh and covert Gwen's hair occasionally. I'm hoping in the new series that Jack will cheer up a bit and that Martha will come to visit.

<spoilers ahead>

*hops up and down loudly and excitedly*

I JUST SAW THE FINALE AND OMJ THE REVELATION SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE I AM SO COMPLETELY HAPPY!! JACK IS THE FACE OF BO!!!!!!

Blah about Martha though. Mum said they've wanted to axe her for half the season because there's no chemistry between whatserface Agyeman--Freema--and David Tennant, apparently. I don't blame them though. She was alright, very different to Rose, but I dunno. Not my favourite, certainly. We'll have a new companion soon!!! *happyhappyhappy*

Poor John Simm, and poor Emo Doctor. *cries for the loss*

So, looking forward to Xmas, folks? I sure am! Xmas special! *squee*

David sure enjoys being the Doctor, ne?! Third season of him coming up, third companion too...

Shall we make our own DW thread in Sharkbait or something? ;) So many of us are fans. Plus it'd be fun to chat about up and coming news and stuff. Or we could move this one there...

Shhhhhhh... everyone thinks we're still talking about sims.

Honestly I like Martha much more than I ever liked Rose but she's no Ace and since she's not dead or trapped in a parallel universe I think she'll be back. I've heard rumours that she'll come back as a secondry companion later in the next series.

And yay for Tennant. I'm glad he's signed up for the next series. Hopefully the new companion will be from a different time rather than another early 21st century person. And Kylie is going to be in the x-mas episode!!!

Nouk - I've seen the trailer for Transformers and it looks cool and so much better than the cartoon movies my brother made me sit through with him when I was ickle. :D

How did you get the text so small? Is it just one of the font sizes it gives when writing a message?

Pride London was meant to be showing the finale last night in Trafalquer Square; turns out it never happened because of either two options, a) there were technical problems or b) they couldn't go beyond a 8pm curfew. Those are to ideas that spring to mind. It's shit really as alot of people went down there in the rain and cold to see it.

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Minolia on 2007 July 01, 22:44:36
To get the text so small I highlight the text click on font size tiny and then change the number from 7 to 4.

It's a shame about the Pride London thing but I think I'd lean more towards a). Though I suppose they may have been extra worried about public events in view of the car bombs they found friday night/sat morning and not allowed any even short curfew extensions. It's still a bit shite though.

When you go to change the font size by selecting the bit of text you want to change and then selecting the size (tiny, small, medium, etc.), you will see the html brackety things. Inside of those brackets will be a number, change that number to whatever you want the point size for the text to be.

Why I am reading this I do not know. I don't even watch Doctor Who.

No chemistry? What show were they watching??? Of course Ten was indifferent to Martha, other than friendship, that was the point. And Martha was just flat out amazing.

I really wish they'd stop switching it up every season. Why not keep the same Doctor/companion dynamic for more than one freaking season? I think it would be rather nice. I'm not really looking forward to the new companion, but then I thought nothing would ever be good enough to replace Rose, and I adore Martha. We'll see.

Anyone see Transformers? *wants*

Oh way ahead of you - I am going to see it on Wednesday.  Which here is not tomorrow but the next day.  It is the one movie aimed at kids that I desperately wanted to see - so I convinced the kids about it.  Blowing stuff up, Optimus Prime, the Decepticons - what more could you want from a movie.  Apparently it's not just blowing stuff up, but has some deeper commentary on the stupidity of the modern US military without all their toys.

I had Transformer toys as a kid (my one boy oriented toy) and even as an adult, I love watching the new cgi series Beast Wars.  We're seeing the quaduplet on Wednesday - First Fantastic Four, Shrek, Transformers, then Pirates of the Carribean. My kids will be so hyped up they won't know where to find their arses at the end.

I loved Rose, and I like Martha so far - she's a bit more capable than Rose.  A little less awed by the Doctor. I like that both the companions have had a heart - and do things like stop the Doctor when he's about to prance out of the room where there's a dead body.  I like that they never lose their humanity.

We have all of course agreed, that should the Doctor be real, every single person if offered the chance to travel with him would leave the nuclear family in a heartbeat - so we've all come to an understanding about the abandonment

I don't know at least she called the doctor on some of his emtional crap and slapped him when he needed it.

And Martha will be there too for the second half of the series - but you don't like her do you.

And while she can be annoying I still love this sketch: looketh at my face! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlTgdu9CpeI)

It's not that I don't like her (though I don't), but I loathe Martha's family. I really, REALLY hate them. The actors/actresses, the characters themselves and they way their characters act. I hate all of it.

Yeah, she did slap him. But I hate her anyway. Suckage.

I LOVE the "Doctor-Who?"-David-Tennant-with-sexy-Scottish-accent-Lauren-Shakespeare-you-are-not-qualified-to-teach-me-English-because-you're-Scottish-Children-in-Need video. That one rocks. The Tony Blair/Catherine Tate one made me laugh too. Tony Blair saying, "Am I bovvered?" was funny, even though I don't find that sketch funny normally.

ETA: We need an animated avatar of David turning Catherine into a Rose-doll and saying, "A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

Title: well these are preeettyyyyyyy....
Post by: Minolia on 2007 July 04, 11:33:18
I hated the Tony Blair video. Just his face annoys the hell out of me so him trying to be funny in that sketch pisses me off.

Martha's family aren't as good as Jackie and Micky, but I quite like Tish despite the fact that bad guys are always employing her, Martha's mother's eyebrows scare the hell out of me and her character was a bit of a raging cow, but the whole having known the docotor for a whole year might have changed their attitudes for when martha comes back.

To be honest I didn't like Rose as much as Martha mostly because of her 12ness.

And David Tennant should do more things where he's allowed to use his Scots accent (as long as no bagpipes are involved.)

And slapping is good! I don't think Donna will have a crush on the doctor which will be a nice change and might let her be a bit more critical of him.

I'll still waiting for the module breakdown, which is meant to be coming through today via email - nothing as yet and I keep getting through to the Exam Office's voicemail :x

I'm disturbed by the above post. Succulent is a very curious way to describe balls...

Speaking of, I got myself a load of new Doctor/Master avis, and this is one of my faves and my other fave is this:

I like a lot of those icons. ^^

Please do not double/triple post, though...

Wasn't there a gas mask scene in the latest series, because that Master (in that avi) isn't John Simm...is it??  :?  :? It doesn't look like him, yet the words and positioning are the same...

I agree I like the icons too. I keep meaning to make myself a new one or two.

And T-chan that is John Simm he just manages to look quite different when he's grinning manically and being evil :D. The pic is from this scene in the sound of drums: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gDn1PLzQvGo

Pffft...I love when guys shave their pubes.  Easier to wrap my lips around those succulent balls.

What... Eh. Why would you say that?! I had to read that twice cause I thought you were trying a little play on words. Please tell me it's in there some where. And no, balls aren't succulent unless it's a tennis ball and my dogs think those are the best.

Sorry for the incomplete information.

WARNING - clicking Yaardarm's link may cause items of your clothing to become moist (from crying or peeing), digestibles in your mouth to be rapidly expelled and mild aching in under-used abdominal muscles. Barring these unfortunate circumstances (which are not guaranteed but only possible side effects) unless overly sensitive (ie more sheltered than a nun) you will not need eye or brain bleach after viewing.

Off topic threads are rarely natural as proven by the very unnatural links and pics posted. I just see no point in having an official off topic topic. Or was it always about Doctor Who?

AnyWHO (bwahaha bad pun, oh kill me!).  My Martha Jones Sim:

Sorry about the shit quality of the JPG.  I had irfanview set on six or something and didn't notice till it was too late.  Here's the Doctor with the new hair I alpha'd from RaonSims:

That hair really is perfect.  You can see his brown scalp from some angles so if you're really anal about your hair, it might bother you.  Me, I'm too busy trying to make sure that the mood doesn't dip into the green (cause I always like it to be gold or platinum) to worry about whether I can see the scalp in game.

http://logansrogue.livejournal.com/979113.html#cutid1

That's a post at my journal that demonstrates the Sims as they're moving and smiling and things like that.  Is Doctor/Martha heavy cause, well, shit.  He was living with her and it kinda happened.

(Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, yes it is me madbonney.  I'd like to use my madbonney account but for some dumb reason, the board won't send my new password to me.  I couldn't remember what password I'd used.  Stupid, I know, but that's my memory for ya).

Kitteh told me his braynz were hurting and tried to get me to flick my Bic and set you on fire with Disapproval, but I don't have the heart.

Please review your posts and ask yourself if they added anything to the discussions.

Your enthusiasm is fantastic.
The non sequiturs are, on the other hand, distracting.

Just sayin'.

Enjoy your stay at PMBD. Here's your rum, your pirate hat, and a copy of Strunk and White so we can understand what you're saying.

Think of Kitteh. Don't hurt Kitteh's braynz.

And consider the punctuation marks you're squandering. Poor punctuation marks. If you use up all our punctuation marks, we may have to start talking like telegrams. That would be regrettable. Telegrams reached their peak popularity in the 1920s and 1930s when it was cheaper to send a telegram than to place a long-distance telephone call. People would save money by using the word “stop” instead of periods to end sentences because punctuation was extra while the four character word was free STOP

Please do not use up all our punctuation marks PAUSE as we need them STOP

Oh no BANG

It may be too late BANG

You may have exceeded our daily allotment of punctuation marks BANG

Now what QUERY

I guess we are hosed FULL STOP

Patches don't mean anything as far as uploading complete sims.  Everyone will need the meshes anyway  :D And I'm sure that they will want the facial sculpting you've painstakingly done.

Just try to take note of which eps it requires - like does it use clothing meshes that came with Uni, etc. - that's what is of importance.

Oh no - they're not Seasons coats.  They are indeed accessories.  I got them from generalzoi on MTS2.  They're kinda cool, actually.   Can go over other outfits.  Only drawback is that they wear them when they're exercising and when they go outside and stuff.  Which can be pretty amusing.  They also show up during the head view when you click on something or other sims.  Just a funny bug with those jackets.

Can you take them off if they're not showing up?

Oh, and thanks everyone.  I'm glad you enjoyed the sims!

No problems!  Have fun with them!  And if any funny shit happens, let me know!  I love stories in fandoms I'm interested in.
