for GIMP users, I have the photoskinning using GIMP tute posted over at sublime sims.  here: http://sublimesims.net/smf/index.php?topic=828.0

I am prepping to begin the long and arduous process of posting it to MTS2, so Saraswati can link it in with the rest of the Tutes there.

ETA: at MTS2.  http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=279087

Just remember, the basketball court is a lie, as is the yellow 3-story+garden apt. I forgot to package it, so it would now require FreeTime. Plus, it's a one-space-left lot so I had to pre-cut the rooms, and it's tiny. Totally playable, but tiny. Emma would be amazed. One of these years, I might throw one of my playables in there with some townies while they are in their last three days of teendom (non-collegebounds get three days of freedom or starting on their career).

My favorite is that yellow and white high-rise in the deco category.

A GIMP Tut?
I'll send the link to my friend who uses the Gimp for her picture editing.
I'm sure she'll appreciate it. Thanks!

Yes Grudge.  A gimp tut.  It's part of a series of GIMP tutes started by Saraswati.  There's now 5 in the series, with more to come.  I've also posted it up at MTS2, so yeah.   Smiley

I always appreciate creators who put the polycount in the item description.  That way as I am placing it (or them in the case of multiple things like dining chairs or outdoor plants.) I can decide whether my lot is "poly heavy" and limit how many I use.  I have a lot of CC and I forget even if the creator posted it when I downloaded it.  I will even skip over a higher poly item if the poly count isnt in the description with the item because I know I will forget.  My computer is much better now than it used to be but I still prefer to have my game run as good as it can, however I dont mind using higher poly stuff as long as I know what the count is (and the item is pretty enough to justify it.)

That's a good idea - I'll try to remember to do that. Cheesy

What do you think of my lastest eyes ?
http://hideki.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=279045

They were made from photo of my eyes. My eyes are dark brown, they look almost black or black if you do not look closely. My mom and younger sister has brown eyes so I think I go them from dad.

And I just made these. I will use winner of model contest I hold at Thai sims fan site now to model the clothes. I might be the last time I hold that model contest because Sims 3 comes in 2009 and I will take TOEFL and might go to USA for master degree ( I just took last test at university on last friday. ), but I can not decide what I want to study yet.

It is photoskining, but I can not remember where I got the pics of each part.

These are something glittering.

Hey T...

You know I usually adore your work.. Ok, with the eyes, they don't look quite right to me. When you look at most eyes there's usually a dark to black rim around the edge of the iris? Like with this eye.. http://www.buytaert.net/cache/images-miscellaneous-2006-eye-500x500.jpg.. without that, the eye doesn't look quite complete. They are lovely, vivid colours though and I'm sure there will be tons of people who will like them.

Those eyes are gorgeous and I can't wait to put them in my game.

Will I have to geneticize (is that even the word) them or were you nice and did it yourself?

I do not even know how to do that  Sad.

I started up work on the eyeballs this morning, and this is what I've gotten so far.  I think they are looking pretty nice, as of now.  Smiley

what do you all think?  is there any kind of adjustments that you think should be made to the ones I've finished, or anything I should keep in mind for the ones I have yet to start?

There's a tutorial on how to make them into defaults here, think thats what Lyra means Smiley

And the eyes look perfectly fine to me Courtney  Grin

I like the eyes a lot, courtney.
Although I do think that purple ones need to be a teensy bit darker (the one on the far right).
But, they are awesome. Love the green one.  Cheesy
