Oh, come on guys!! LynnMar needs compassion, not POKING! Can you imagine what would happen if she pronounced her not-so-secret-anymore-love-for-Pescado at MATY??

Some of the nastiest people at MATY are not-so-secretly in love with Pescado.

Anyone who is in love with him does deserve compassion, though. And a straightjacket and a padded cell.

No one in the Victorian world would have bathrooms, or anything else, as designed by Cashcraft. They did not use those styles or colors. They're like a Barbie's idea of "Victorian".

As for President Lincoln, I don't know when extensive plumbing was installed in the White House, and now I'd like to find out. It was probably post-Civil War though.

The VAST majority of rapists don't have any weapon and don't even use their fists. How often do you carry a gun to a party, on a date, or to a friend's house?

As it happens, calalily, I share your opinions about guns. But even getting legislation that makes people wait a week before buying a semi-automatic, or registering their weapons, passed, is incredibly hard in the U.S., and often political suicide. It's hard even for many Americans to understand (unlike the stereotype, most of us do not own guns): gun culture here is deeply tied up with patriotism, religion, deep-rooted, constantly fed fear, a certain kind of masculinity, and ideas of (specifically American) "whiteness". The NRA is phenomenally powerful, and they can convince many of their followers that any legislation about guns whatsoever means next thing you know, the men in black will be taking away hunting rifles.

You know, it would be easiest not to hang out with assholes in the first place. I've never been with a guy who pushed me to do anything I didn't want to do.

You know the simplest rape prevention?

"NO!!!!"

Obviously if women were socialized to say "no" more and sooner, it would not prevent all rapes. But it would prevent a hell of a lot. Every woman I know who was sexually assaulted knew their assaulter, and the ones who were assaulted as teens or adults were too "nice" to say no soon or loud. I've never been sexually assaulted, and I've put myself in supposedly stupid situations: but partly I'm lucky, and partly I'm the kind of woman who, if a guy touches me and I don't want him to, everyone within a mile knows it. Saying, loudly, "get your hands off me, I don't know you and don't want to," to a guy "massaging" your shoulder might make some women feel like bitches, but I'd rather be seen as a bitch than a target. (It never stopped me getting guys when I did want them either.)

Playing even a normal legacy for 10 generations is a heck of a grind. The Chaz thing might be kind of fun, but I'd cheat like crazy just to get through it faster. It might actually be something of a challenge to prettify those genetics, though.

"Doenot" looks a lot more like "do not" than like "doughnut". Take your own advice, DOT. Jeez, you'd think one of her "buddies" would clue her in.

That Simpsons episode with the various animals being introduced to "control" various other animals was sadly not very exaggerated Tongue.

I've always thought that people in general have a whole 'there is people and then there are animals attitude' as if homo sapien is seperate from all other living things - an exception.    In my believe, we are animals, the same as birds, dogs, monkeys, guinea pigs, zebras etc.  Nothing more, nothing less.
Seconded. To a point. A human's very presence in nature alters nature. So there is definitely an "otherness" with people and animals. Case in point-- our anthropomorphizing of animals. We can't help it-- how can we not? We don't know what it's like to be a bear for example-- with a sense of smell many times greater than a bloodhound. There is no point of reference, physically and mentally for that.

Every animal "alters" nature just by being there. Look at what happens to an ecosystem when an outside plant or animal gets put there -- rabbits in Australia, various water-hungry plants where I live. Or if an animal gets removed, as when predators are wiped out. The balance gets totally farked. Nor are human animals "smarter" than other animals. For instance, horses wouldn't be very good at being human, but we'd be quite terrible at being horses. Not to mention the fact that we're the only ones "smart" enough to wipe out almost all life on Earth if we wanted. (Though actually, I'm not sure if we could get the bacteria and insects that make up most life.) Brilliant!

Humans drive cars and we spread out everywhere, taking land we don't need, using far too many resources, etc. We're like rabbits in Australia, except for the entire world. Since we supposedly have the intelligence and foresight to know better, this makes us the stupidest animals, since we don't actually use our skills.

Those outfits for the men are God awful...

They're all terrible, but the red and white shirt is absoludicrous. Are those OpenHouseJack again?

Gee, I wonder who they'll blame for this one. Roll Eyes

You have to love Peggy's models, though. Roll Eyes I mean, that forehead must be really large underneath all those bangs.

She's a Conehead. Do Peggy's models ever look happy? They usually seem filled with existential despair, which makes sense, but it's really not the best way to advertise a product I'd think.

She'll probably move onto premade NPCs. Sandy Bruty lamps...

I think his wife is actually kind of cute. Talk about the pot speaking out of turn on her part...

So that's who that was! My brain wasn't firing on all cylinders, obviously. I was looking at the picture thinking, "who's that reasonably attractive person, and why is Atwa calling her her boyfriend's dog, when she doesn't have a boyfriend?"
