Title: PMBD Mentioned/Promoted in online Article :)
Post by: Renegade on 2007 March 16, 14:19:12
Hey, peoples!  I came across something I thought you all might be interested in!

This article talks paysites being against the E.U.L.A, paysite "creators" photoshopping their crap, and how paysite "creators" (i.e. Peggy and Rose) create shit and then neglect to fix the problems with them.  It also seems to promote Paysites Must be Destroyed :)

Then again, this is just one's "opinion" on why you shouldn't pay for custom content ;)

Yup, and the BetterSimsBureau. Though I found it funny how it said, "Paysites Must Be Destroyed is a great leader in the crusade against illegal Sims paysites." lol!

Is bettersimsbureau acting up, or is it just my computer? I get a text-only page when I click links.

The links are fine, except the one to the forum.  When I click on the forum I'm taken to a plain-text version of their home page.  For me, it has been like that for at least a week.

This is what I saw

Well, the people who buy that shit think it's awesome, so now they can get their awesome shit for free :D

Hmm...I wonder if MTS2 or TSR would ban me for posting a link to this article...

I would have thought that TSR would ban you, MTS2 might just give you a warning

That sucks, especially since it's not a direct link to anything but someone's opinion.  It would be good of some of the sheep could read this.

Actually I am not quite sure what they would do if you linked at MTS2...have looked through the warning type thing, and cant see any of those which comply. I guess they'd just remove the link

But most people at MTS2 already dislike pay items, they arent that sheepish

Fair enough, though I do sometimes use their forums to get some help.  Although, now that I have a legit serial number for the game, I can use the crazy BBS instead, lol.

Posting everywhere would be a good idea, though I'm clueless as to where "everywhere" would be :P

Someone just posted a link to the article on the 'Why do people hate paysites?' thread at S2C :)

Well done whoever wrote it :D

Isn't S2C a mix of people who love paysites, and people who don't?  Of course there are few that are impartial, I guess.  I think that's the same site that shows how "similar" some paysite hair is to Poser hair, but I could be wrong.

A start is good enough :) Though it would be pretty awesome to see this posted on paysites' guestbooks/forums, lol!

I think it would be good on PeggySims' site, since her creations are getting WORSE, if that's possible.  She's "improved" the neck gaps to appear as gaps in the hair, creating the illusion of your Sims having BALD SPOTS.  Even her March gift has bald patches at the back and a bit at the side.    With each new monstrosity she makes, I feel worse about the fact that people pay for this, not knowing what it's really like til it's in the game.

Yes.  I find that the "impartial" people tend to be a little more annoying than the people defending paysites for silly reasons, if only because of the constant "stop arguing over something stupid" talk.

I wandered over to Peggy's earlier or yesterday, saw the newly updated free hair (pigtails) and immediately thought it was ugly.  Usually I download a hair and look at it in Body Shop before deciding it's a piece of shit.  The ponytail with the straight bangs doesn't look very appealing either.
