On the topic of censorship, and for Moune and others:

I apologize in advance that this is going to be long, but I want to explore the issues you raised thoroughly...

[edited to remove long, idiotic ramblings]

WTF is this fucktard smoking?  How is anything he said even somewhat relevant to the discussion?  How can he compare how the mention of the Holocaust causes pain to those who endured it with the pain experienced by the members of the forum at the mention of SFV.  SOMEBODY BEAT SOME INTELLIGENCE INTO HIM.

Also, in case anybody missed it, the admins at Simbella's set up the forum's censor to automatically change SFV to "Robbers United" in members' posts.  I think perhaps this phorum should adopt a similar policy to change Simbella's to "Arselickers United".  I know how even the mention of that site can cause some of the members here pain, even to the point of inducing mental comas.

Is anyone else frightened by the fact that most of the people at Simbella's (the vocal, ass-kissing ones anyways) are mostly adults who are married?  Seriously, WTF?  They're acting like they're in high school and they're married?!

If Rhea is pronounced the same as the Greek titaness Rhea, it would be Rhee-uh, no?

ETA: Guess not.

I loved how Bella was calling all the people who spoke out against her sheep.

I can sympathise with the whole no-one-being-able-to-spell-your-name thing.  My name is a bloody noun and people have trouble spelling it (it's Marina BTW).  Sometimes I just feel like bashing them over the head and shouting, "How stupid are you?!"

I'm Canadian and I tend to spell things the British way, however because I live so close to the American border the general English people use here is severely bastardised.  People spell things with -our (colour, favour, etc.) but they tend to use Zs and Cs instead of Ss.  I've had several teachers correct me on my spelling and I've had to actually explain to them that some words can be spelt more than one way.

You can't access the website if you follow a link from this phorum.  You have to either type in the address or Google "fairywitch sims 2" and click on that link.

Apparently Rose is bothered enough to have come up with some lame-ass procedure about waiting ten days before you can donate for her newest hair, unless you've already donated before.  Her reason for doing this is in order to "safeguard her donators' advantage".  At least that's what I think she's on about, we all know how great her English is.

I don't think Lieg was actually serious about trying to jack up your bandwidth.

And actually, the files are not yours.  As soon as they are converted into .package format they belong to EA/Maxis.

This site is in no way about just moaning about payfiles, from what I have read tonight, it's a free for all bashfest.

Yes, that's a very good summation of the phorum.  It takes some people a while to grasp that.

2. How many of you (thanks for the publicity btw), would sign up with your real username instead of some bogus nick? I don't use any other name than this one and I haven't in 6 years that I've been playing and creating. I don't hide behind different usernames. Why do you? I ain't talking about Pescado, I'm talking about all the rest. At least he uses his name everywhere. Those that DID sign up for an account and downloaded stuff, why did you? If my site is *insert wobbly knees and voice here* so goddamn evil, wtf are you doing on it and why on earth would you want my stuff in your game?

I have no problem using the username I have here all over the web, and in fact, many users on here use the same name throughout the Sims community.  Also, I don't care whether or not your site is teh evil 666 (did anyone even call it evil?), I don't want your stuff in my game anyways.

6. I hardly check mesh sizes because I make stuff for my game, only have about 600 megs of other people's creations total in my downloads folder and I like what I make. That's who I primarily make stuff for. ME! Not you. If you don't like my creations, don't like how I run my site, go away?

Well if you plan on selling your meshes I suggest you start checking.  Not many people want a 9000 poly dining chair in their game.  And as for staying away from your site, I have no problem with that.  As I said before, the brightness hurts my eyes.  Maybe I should wear my sunglasses.

I think you have an inflated ego.  We're not going gaga over your site, in fact I would go so far as to call you small peanuts in comparison with other paysites.
10  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / is this a take-off from Maxis? on: 2007 May 03, 07:08:25
Girls in bras and panties serving hotdogs...It sounds like the twisted sexual fantasy of an overweight, undersexed, teenager.

Argh, the brightness scares me, make it go away.

I believe the owner also has an account on TSR.  I had one of her chairs in my game but the polycount was ridiculously high so I deleted it.

And the two Paypal buttons are beyond my comprehension.  Maybe it's the next big paysite trend, "Donate now!  Receive nothing in return except the promise that our site will always provide you with quality downloads you won't have access to unless you give us more money!"
12  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Pay Items Poll at Parsimonious on: 2007 May 02, 19:52:25
I voted for the last option because I don't think they'll actually change anything unless a clear majority of the voters agree they want things to change.
13  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Post self-sims of your favorite paysite creators on: 2007 May 01, 17:07:11
I think the ambiguity regarding the sex of the CN sim is quite appropriate.

I have absolutely no problem scanning for orphans using Delphy's program.  Forgive the rather obvious suggestion, but are you all making sure to check the "show orphans" box once the scan has finished?  If so perhaps there is some other issue causing the problem that I seem to have (for once) not encountered.
