why does everyone bash paysites and have johnny depp logos they are wanna bees Id like to see you people invest 1 hr per outfit and see how you feel. I think most of you yap[ping must have nothing else in life to do. Time is money. I have no problem paying for talentg. All most of you idiot do is post links at that. So put your hard labor up for free where your mouths are.

I agree some are outrageious but lord some just want to reinvest in material to bring you the newest bestest stuff.

actually he has been doing that since the beginning; the mesh creators even contacted him asking him to remove the meshes and yet he continues to do it. It's been, what, almost two years now?
I think the only thing that would make him stop is if his host shuts him down (like last time?) but that would only be temporary--he'll find another free hosting site and just keep doing it as long as people keep paying for his creations. Well technically they are someone elses free copyrighted images slapped onto someone elses free mesh but since he puts his name on it, it must make the creations his :roll: That pisses me off to the highest level of pisstivity... |

You can't repaint your neighbor's car and sell it to your office buddy. Not legally. You can't recolour Maxis stuff or rework Poser (creators') meshes or use Maxis/EA code to enable your totally original crap and then make money off of it, because you are not Maxis, EA, or Poser. I agree with that 100%, reason why donation cars, are made 100% from scratch, no meshes or anything from other resources, the cars in donation section= 100% s2cs.net meshes. Also, last time I checked and that I am aware of, if something comes with an extra gift it isn't considerate a sale(the added item) . Even if the psychology of people make it believe like that, it isn't considerate a sale legally fyi. Also, calling God a female when 99.9% of religion that believe that God exist, and that He is Male, is again kind of a disrespect from you guys and gals. Again I add, things I have written here, are my views, not the views of people at the site, not views of Tre, not views of any other member of the staff. Vii. This is simple mathematics Tre.. er.. vii Donations for gifts = paysite Donations for server costs (no gifts) = Free site Tre is now a paysite. I dont give a shit about having to register for his site, his content is incredible, free registration + free cars = I'm happy. But no. Everytime I visit his site its mental torture as I skim through the names of the providers of his meshes. Helaene, Marvine and BeosBoxBoy? These are creators who provde FREE meshes for the community to use. And now, thanks to Jackass, I have to PAY MONEY for FREE MESHES that you recolored? I dont pay for shit jackass. I will give you credit you bastard, your recolors are incredibly realistic and I love the styles, however, there are only a handful of your creations that are free. I've emailed you to no avail, i've emailed the creators of your meshes to rat you out  .... dont know whats been done as of yet. I find it very cute that when a FREE creator specifically states "You may recolor my meshes, but link here for credit and DO NOT UPLOAD TO A PAYSITE" you completely ignore it for the sake of cash... Yeah this has been discussed before extensively here... But i'm rattled... |

This is why I love this phorum. We understand that although people can be "cool" that does not negate the fact that they are betraying their community by giving special "gifts" to people who send him money.
At the risk of repeating what has already been said by my comrades within this movement, this is nothing but hypocrasy.
I have the phantom as well as a dozen other FREE cars he's made.
I understand the costs of servers. Vii you cannot compare his site to MTS2 or even InSim for that matter because although they may request donations, they do not offer any "gifts" in exchange. That would make them paysites, which they are not. Tre, although i'm sure he's a cool guy, I am absolutely in LOVE with that Dodge Charger, has made a HUGE mistake by betraying his loyal registrants and offering gifts to those that pay for his server costs.
I was active on his forum, I was an active downloader, but i'll be damned if I sell myself short for the sake of a god damned gift.

Doursims... Being the educated, mentally functional, non-greedy, non-bastardized sims 2 player that I am, I know the proper protocal for expressing grievances. So, before I came to this community to vent, I emailed him my concerns, as I have been downloading cars from him for ages.
Now tell me dear, who are the real greedy bastards? Could it be the creators who give special gifts for sending money? Or the people like me who hate to see a free creator go pay?

And yes, content available for exchange of money is still a sale. Regardless of how long your able to access the content, or how much money is exchanged. Well the Donations to Paypal link works once again Sorry for the inconvenience guys. I want everyone to keep in mind one thing involving Donations.... Donating to the Carsource isn't a monthly thing. As much as its appreciated, once you donate and are put into the Donator's Group, you wont leave if you dont donate a month later. You will have access to the Donation cars for the rest of time So just to clear any confusion i'm not a huge fan of paysites either, so i figure the least we can do is give the cars as gifts to those who donate, but are not entitled to keep paying to recieve the gifts. Those who already have donated should be able to access the Donator Forum. Thank you, -Tre Zillah But doesnt the bolded still technically make you a PAYSITE TRE???
