I always have to put lights in. I think it adds to the room. DOT's obsession is scary. She need professional help, maybe those very nice men in white with the very big needles.  Shocked

Ummm, that sweater, well its, ummm, Well I say someone wear that once, they looked, well, lets just put it this way, she just bought it from the clearance rack at goodwill.

I found my new favorite reason that someone said that that info isn't true. Someone said that because it is on the UK site, that means its not official, it didn't come from EA. I really want to know what goes on in those people's minds.

And yes, the US has become one of the last countries to get the games anymore, but EA did say that the game would have a world wide release date, so if that stays true and June 09 is when it is released, then everyone when get it then.

And a new EP or SP would be nice, but I don't see it happening. Wonder what The Sims 2 team is doing now that The Sims 2 is pretty much over, other then the store that is.

EDIT: They are also saying that the latest VIP letter confirms 2-20 as the release date, and so to gaming magazines. Well duh they would, they were written before 12pm EST today.

Hey, guess what. The Sims 3 wont be coming out on February 20, or in March, or in April, or even in May. The EA press site for the UK just updated less then an hour ago with the new date of June 2009. People on the BBS are trying to make since of it and are saying that is was a mistake, its bad business, not professional to delay it this close to the release date, and all that other jazz.

EDIT: They are also saying that because it is the UK site, it only is for the UK, and the US will still get it on time. yeah right.

I read through their TOS, and I think it has to do with the document that coconut posted about not posting anything from the private forums. That is the only thing I can find that would give them just reason to suspend it, even though its not really that just.

She said that she hates version 7, and wont upload anything to TSR until they get it fixed. Since she can't say she uploads to ModtheSims, she just said that some of you know the other site I upload to, so you will find the kitchen there.

I'm with you SoggyFox. I would never be able to make a tool, but if I could help with finding bugs, I would. What Coconut posted, was I suprised or shocked? No, not really. I didn't expect that "legal document" they had to sign, but I'm not surprised by it. And trying to make them the only people that can make and and host content, its not all that shocking. TSR would do anything they could to keep making money. And about them getting special tools from EA, I hope that is just them boosting their ego, and to make it seem like they are the best site out there for content. I would be surprised, but not entirely surprised if EA did do such a thing. But seeing as they have heard the community about the ads, and there is some word pointing to they heard us about securom, I think that they may hear that we are upset about CC, but if they did and gave TSR the tools, then they heard us, and should have used a translator to understand what we said.

Well, I wouldn't call it pretty, but it has to be the most interesting download out there.

Here is the link, for people who haven't seen it yet, and read the comments to, if you haven't, http://www.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=316764

The mood on the BBS has really changed since last summer. More and more people are really seeing what EA does, and with, what was it, 3 simmasters resigning, that help fuel the anger. And with the rumors about the delay, and everyone flaming each other saying yes there is one, or no there is not, or saying that their gamestop was visited by an EA rep who told them it was coming out on time, people are getting to see what type of company EA is. But there still are the people like, poor EA having to deal with all of those emails and phone calls, they are doing all they can. My favorite one was someone said that the CEO was running down to The Sims Division after the Eurogamer comment came out, that way he could do some damage control and make sure that we all got the info we need on time. I had to laugh at that one, since when does EA do damage control, or care about the customer?

This is a European styled living and dinning room. I'm not in Europe, so I don't know if that is really what the style over there is. But if it is European styled, why not called it, oh, I don't know, maybe Euro Super Set.

And TSR has a new FA, announced yesterday. His name is Senemm

What I saw of TSR's, it was gushy. Just going on about how great this is and that is, not a single mention to bugs, problems, or any other problems in the game. Parsimonious was great, pointed out what was good, what worked, and what was wrong with the game. But yeah, EA would not want that information out there.

This is part of a full set of junk someone made, and the description is the same for all of them, "Great for your sims and submited houses to show that you and your sims love The Sims Resource."

Ain't she pretty?*cough*cough*

Now how about we posh op our sims for fall and winter with these things. My favorite comment is this on;"I love how everything you make is so detailed and polished. Thank you for sharing your work! "

Or you could get these instead for winter. The creator hopes that "you enjoy them as much as your Sims will." My sims would kill me if I made them wear those.

But ok, I'm done now. Funny thing is I got all of these by typing in The Sims 1. I wanted to see if anyone made any objects from The Sims 1, and how badly done they were.

i saw a pic of one of the buy mode interface, and it is really bad looking. I was hoping that when some pics of it started coming out they would change it, but the most resent info is saying they didn't.
628  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Prettiest Freesite Creation Find: Round Two (Apparently) on: 2009 January 26, 05:27:13
I love those critters. I saw them yesterday when I was on GOS, so I got them and a few *cough*tons*cough* things. I haven't seen them in the game yet cause two of the lots I got from there yesterday had a ton of content from the booty used in it, but I didn't have it, so I had to go in and find what all i need and download a ton more stuff.

But my downloads folder hates this thread and me. It took me two years to get to 10,000 downloads. Two months ago I had a problem with something I downloaded, so I had to start over. So in theses two months I have gotten, let me check, ummm, 12,133. Hmmm, last night i just had 8,833. In less then 24 hours I got 3,300 more downloads, I've never done that much. The funny thing is that before my game was really laggy with just 10,000 downloads, now there isn't that much lag, but there is long loading times. And the best part of this is that I don't meet the minimal CPU or RAM requirements. But at least I will be getting a new computer after my parents get their tax refund, and I'll finally get to play those games I got for Christmas....
629  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: TSR Sharing your infomation! on: 2009 January 23, 17:00:37
I found only one fansite that went to the creator's camp and had info on the ability to share CC on other sites. This is from Parsimonious:
Quote
Sharing Sims 3 CC elsewhere

Another concern raised by one or two creators is the question of whether or not Sims 3 custom content will be sharable on their own websites, the answer is yes. All the custom content packages created can be easily accessed in your My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 3 subfolders and can be published online just as for older Sims content.

So if the EULA for The Sims 3 says the same about paysites as The Sims 2 EULA, then TSR and all other paysites will be selling illegal content. We will just have to wait till the game comes out to find out. I for one, even though I don't agree with certain things EA is doing as a company and to the game, will be getting the game. So I will read the EULA as I install the game to find the part about CC.
630  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / Re: Your Ugliest Paysite Creation Find: Round Two. on: 2009 January 23, 16:24:23
I haven't seen these, so I thought I would post them.

These wonderful things are from sims2sisters. Now I thought EA was bad about showing off belly buttons, but I would rather EA belly button showing then those things.

And DOT made some new lamps. Do I really have to say anything about them, we all know how DOT's lamps come out. If you look at her preview pictures on the right of the big picture, you can see she failed when it came to labeling, white lettering over white.
